Ray is extremely confusing. When he admits he's lost, he says something to the effect of "you better leave", does anyone have the exact line? Also in an earlier episode (ep 3 I believe) when he comes to sit down the Elliot in the 'diner' to tell him they are similar, he enters via what appears to be a fire exit. This makes me thinks he is very likely prison staff, maybe not a guard though.
