I have to say, I was heartbroken last night about Murphy and the way he is treated by Zach and the lack of love and attention that beautiful dog gets. When Murphy went over to the fireplace area by Zach (wagging his tail), Zach raised his voice and "Get, get out!"...Zach has always disliked pets, especially dogs. That poor dog is so sweet and kind, always looking for some kind of attention but gets rebuffed. He greets Amy at the door and she ignores him. As a dog lover it really pisses me off to see the way he gets ignored. Tori lobbied hard for this dog after Sully died and now she can't be bothered with him...Murphy deserves to be in a home where he is loved and his affection is reciprocated by his "hoomans". Also, he's too big a dog to be with such little children...through no fault of his own, his size seems overwhelming to Jackson and Lilah.

Don't you know Jackson is the only one that matters? Not Murphy, not Lilah. Which is very sad because Lilah and Murphy both seem to be so gentle and loving.

Also, did anyone else hear Caryn say she was happy to come to the birthday party to see Jackson? Wtf? She didn't even mention Lilah!

I actually think it’s healthy that they moved. There were too many expectations and emotions on both sides. Zach and Tori would have become further involved with Matt if they bought the farm. That, imo, would have only lead to more issues down the line. They didn’t move across the country or to another country—a 45 minute/ 1 hour drive is not that bad.

I moved an hour and a half away from my parents right before our first child was born and our kids definitely saw their grandparents a lot growing up (and not just holidays, either). Now, with technology,  Zach and Tori can do virtual visits as well.

Yeah, I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal about the distance either. Growing up, my grandparents lived about 45 mins - 1 hr away and we saw them often.

I have noticed that Lilah is mostly ignored...I don't see Zach and Tori interacting with her at all. They pick her up and then plop her down on pavement or the floor and then proceed to ignore her and and engage completely with Jackson. Lilah seems to be non verbal and in her own world. At first I thought she might be on the Spectrum but then I saw that the Zach and Tori barely talk to her. It's all about Jackson, Jackson, Jackson. Very sad...she seems like a sweet little girl.

This. Just like when Matt was visiting, Tori came in and plopped her on the kitchen counter and ignored her. She didn't even face her towards everyone else, she plopped her down with her back to everyone! No wonder the kid can't talk and cries when anyone comes near her. I won't be surprised if she ends off with serious social issues due to Zack and Tori's neglect.

  4. I think Max is a douchebag. The breakup was probably more about the fight they had afterward and the things he said to Moriah then about him kissing the other girl (which he took no responsibility for, and blamed the other girl). I see him as controlling. I remember him saying some derogatory things about Moriah's clothing last season. He doesn't want Moriah showing any skin. Meanwhile, he's 'acting as a wingman' and flirting with another girl 🙄  Run, Moriah.  Definite 🚩 there. Also, Lydia WTF?? There is definitely something off about that girl.

Kody didn’t want to travel with Ysabel because he doesn’t give a crap about her or her mother.

if that was AerolaEbola needing surgery or even AROARa or Brianna he’d move heaven and earth to be there for them because they’re Queenie Robyns girls….

All he felt about Ysabel’s surgery was annoyed that he had to even talk about it!

    He’s such a shallow jerk.

I felt so bad for Ysabel when she was crying because she realized her dad didn't care enough to be there for her. All because he wasn't willing to be away from Robyn for a few weeks :(

Still, people who have dealt with hoarders know that it can become a serious problem.  As they age these people often need interventions for safety reasons.  Maybe, Amy is not that bad yet, but she sure is stubborn about it.  I wonder just what all that stuff is.  Old mugs, children’s crafts, travel souvenirs, etc.  It’s difficult for me to imagine.  The older I get, the more I want to downsize, scale down, declutter, etc.

Oh FFS ... yes, she has some boxes in the garage, but you people are acting like she belongs on Hoarders! I think her house looks pretty good overall, much better than the farmhouse did. What about all of Matt's buildings full of stuff? But, OMG, Amy has a few boxes in her garage and she belongs on Hoarders! Lmmfao

If your mom asks you to hand her the hatchet,  you hand her the hatchet.

If your mom asks you to get off the deck/pier bc of alligators, you do that.

Will did none of that. He doesn't listen to her, and that is just so not ok.

Bill overhearing Zoey tell her ghost story:  she's a little dark.

Next line out of Zoey's mouth: and then they all died! LOL.

When Jen told Will to give her the hatchet, Bill says "he can hold it". Way to undermine your wife Bill! No wonder Will doesn't listen to her.

Dad needs to nut up and put his foot down with Max. He is so wishy-washy. I understand that Max is 19, but he is living under his father's roof and being somewhat supported by him. Max is delusional about his drug use and brain damage, and his father just seems unable or unwilling to be a hardass with him. He watched the bio-mom die of an overdose - and seems to not want to watch Max do the same. It's time to get tough and so ho-hum about it.

Hailey's mother needs to stop being her "buddy/friend" and act like a fucking mother. I wanted to reach through the tv and smack her last night. It's like they are roommates hanging out, not mother and daughter.

The "parents" on this show refuse to actually parent. And, therein lies the problem. Poor kids. I can't help but feel bad for them. They are products of their environment.

  9. The stupidity of everyone in this episode. I. just. can't. even. Alex asking Tyra what's wrong. Wtf do you think is wrong?? Tell your mom and grandma to shut the hell up. And why would Grandma ban Tyra from spending the night AFTER she got pregnant? Makes no sense. I wouldn't even bring my kid over there if I was Tyra.

Max is in so much denial it isn't funny. The best thing his dad can do is get him off tv and get him into residential treatment asap. And Chloe is so naive to not see how troubled he really is. She thinks everything will be perfect when they get their own place. She is in for a rude awakening.

Matthew is such a scumbag. He always looks nasty af but he thinks he's so hot. He had some nerve trying to blame Hailey for their fight. I wish she'd wake up and kick his weasly butt to the curb. He is definitely not worth crying over!

Anthony may be the dumbest of them all. He really thinks he can tell he's the father by an ultrasound image? Really? That boy is dumber than a box of rocks. And Rilah's mom let him live there for 2 yrs then kicked him out when he turned 18? And now is letting him move back in? Wtf is wrong with all these parents? Is it any wonder these girls end off pregnant?

At least no whiny ass, spoiled Mckayla on this episode. Although, it looks like she'll be back annoyingly as ever next week. Can't wait.

The thing is, in any of the polygamous sects, there is divorce, reassignment, leaving the sect, etc. that happens all the time. It is common. It is even common in the Brown family. Any of the wives could leave and if they don't unseal from Kody they will still end up on his planet. If they remarry they will still go to Kody's planet if they are still sealed to him. If they remarry someone in a plyg sect then they can unseal from the Kodouche and seal to the new guy. They will then end up on HIS planet.

Forgive me, but this all seems so weird.

Jillian Michaels was once a very large girl.  And no tea, no shade, but you don't know the PCOS diagnosis for any one of these women to really say that they must have mild PCOS, just because they look healthier (in every way) than Whitney.  I think it's excessively unfair to someone with PCOS who is working hard to keep their symptoms under control to just say "well, it must be a mild case, because I can't see it."

This is a very interesting thread on people with insulin resistant PCOS who have managed to lose weight.  I think it discredits the incredible amount of work that people like this put in when its just assumed that because they don't show symptoms that their PCOS must be "mild."

    https://www.reddit.com/r/fatlogic/comments/3p8q49/jillian_michaels_is_proof_that_you_can_have_pcos/

Oh, I'm not excusing Whitney for her unhealthy decisions which absolutely make her PCOS worse. I just don't think you can lump everybody with PCOS together in one category. For example, some women with PCOS can have children, some cannot. There are a lot of symptoms of PCOS besides weight gain. Hair loss, excess facial hair, adult acne, which those women don't exhibit, but of course I can't know the details of their diagnoses. My apologies for being presumptuous.

Jillian Michaels, Emma Thompson, Kate Gosselin (allegedly), and Victoria Beckham all have PCOS and I don't think any of those women look particularly unhealthy.  I think Victoria Beckham often looks angry, and I personally think she might look better with 10-20 pounds, but she doesn't look unhealthy to me.

You really can't compare. Each individual person's case is different. It is not one size fits all, it ranges from very mild to very severe. I myself have moderate PCOS symptoms. I would say the women you mentioned probably have mild PCOS while Whitney's is very severe, based not just on her weight but her other symptoms as well.

Well, maybe they didn't want to. In that heat I wouldn't even want to watch.

Exactly. If they're not athletic, they probably didnt want to sit there in the heat watching either. If they are athletic, they probably would've wanted to join in. But to sit there and watch? I doubt they really wanted to but they had no choice. I would've been like "See you later honey, have fun at your softball game" and not dragged my kid out in the heat.

Wonder if Addallee's hearing difficulties are also associated with this incident.

I never thought of that, but it seems likely. Kudos to the volunteer fire dept for saving her life. Of course, the whole thing could've been avoided had Kelly received proper prenatal care but you won't hear them say THAT on the show.

Did I hear Kelly say it was a week before Gil named Addallee? Wonder if he named all the kids or just her. It's so strange to me that a man would  choose the name without his wife's input, kind of like how Ben named Spurgeon. Is that common in their culture?

Most people I know of, been around, or heard of tend to keep their strong opinions to themselves.  Will someone sit in the comfort of their car and make a comment to their passenger?  Sure.  But to actually yell out the window to someone on the street? Seems odd.

It DOES happen. My cousin was called a 'beached whale' while sunbathing in her own yard by someone driving by. I have been called names as well. And we are both MUCH smaller than Whitney. I have no doubt, even if the incidents on the show were staged, those kind of things DO happen to Whitney.

Right but he's Zach's neighbor in Portland, out at Matt's newly remodeled double wide (and considering its what, two years old, and they're planning on dumping it, isn't that just literally pissing money away?) and this is all he can talk about? And since when was Zach's neighbor now invited to the stag parties at Matt's place? He's not Matt's neighbor

I believe he is Matt's friend who just happens to live near Zach. That's how I took it anyway.

  17. I enjoyed seeing more about Alyssa and John. However, one thing bothered me. Why couldn't the women play softball with the guys? When my extended family gets together and sports are played, anybody who wants to participates. It just seemed so sexist, the "wimmim folk" sitting on the sidelines.

  18. Ugh, another week of listening to Matt gripe about having to live in a "DW". It's starting to piss me off. What a snob. As for the remodel, the floors are nice, but the cabinets are hideous. Every time they show his "DW", I can't help but remember how be used to complain about Amy's housekeeping. Well, now Amy's house is cleaner than his. What do you have to say to that, Matt?

  19. - Jeremy and Audrey need to face the facts on the finality of his parent's relationship. No, most divorced parents don't go on vacation together. Yours wouldn't either if they didn't have a tv show. It's business.

    - Speaking of Jer and Auj, they were lying through their teeth about being glad it wasn't them invited onstage at the luau. Yeah right, attention whores.

    - Matt actually made sense for once when he said it's easier to split money than land.

    - Molly and Jacob don't exist.

    - It was so sad to hear Amy say she'd probably be alone the rest of her life. She's not that old, and she has a lot to offer. Girl needs to start thinking positively!

One moment that revealed the real Kody was when he seemed genuinely upset that the ladies thought Robyn being snippy to him was so funny and cute. Christine was able to turn it around and make everyone laugh but I thought Kody was dead serious and not happy.

Too funny, Kody was pissed! He said something like, "I don't know why you all are laughing about her being mouthy to me." Mouthy? That's a word I would use to describe my children, not my spouse! In fact, the whole thing reminded me of a parent chastising his children.
