I think this whole "triangle" is an issue only because Uriah Shelton was out on a injury (glad he's feeling better), so they couldn't fit Josh in liked they wanted too. In all honesty, I think what will happen with season 3 is we'll see Josh and Maya start a relationship, and Lucas will be with Riley for a while. I don't have a particular opinion about the ships other then I favour Lucas and Maya, because I really don't care who ends up with who. The problem with focusing too much on who ends up with who is that it takes away from the story and the characters.
Also, one thing I've found frustrating about this show is that it constantly overlooks the feelings of the male characters. Lucas' feelings have been overlooked, Josh's feelings were overlooked in the episode where Maya and Riley went to his dorm, and Farkle's HAVE not been overlooked YET only because he isn't involved in this whole convoluted triangle mess.
