  1. Just finished this show and while it was entertaining, I really wish the writing had been tighter. Getting into the cockpit was so stupid. I do not see a pilot actually choosing to let his plane get hijacked because of his mistress. If it had been his child, I could maybe see it, but after 9/11, just no freaking way. Also, because of 9/11, enough passengers would fight back to make it not even matter whether or not the pilot would let hijackers into the cockpit. I think that's what the creator meant when he said hijackings don't happen, because they just don't anymore. If the passengers think their death is imminent, it becomes 200 people fighting for their lives against maybe a handful of hijackers.

And I could kind of hand wave them letting the plane get to England, but the second they let that plane go over London, they lost me for good. There is no way in hell any government is letting a hijacked plane in the airspace of their biggest city. They seriously could've kept the show entertaining with just a few changes to make it slightly more plausible, even though I still don't think a plane would get hijacked.

  2. That fight with the guests made me so uncomfortable. The lactose intolerant guest looks to be the only POC in that group, and for some tanned bleach blonde women to jump all over her to that degree and begin ranting that no one liked her or wanted to room with her left a really bad taste in my mouth.

  3. It feels like Netflix is trying to make a hard pivot into the streaming network for conspiracies. Between this and that new lost ancient civilizations or whatever it's called, are just full of stuff that make no sense. I started laughing when the US got brought into it and blamed. Look, the US loves sticking their nose in a million and one places it doesn't belong, but there's usually some motive behind it (i.e. money). There's no point to the US taking down a Malaysian plane, and it's not really our government's style. And then people talking about how it would've flown through multiple air spaces but no one ever saw it. Um, cause the stuff was turned off that allowed the plane to be seen by radar, right? Like, isn't that the whole point of why it can't be found to begin with? That it just disappeared from radar, so there's basically no information to go off of? Also, this was a red eye flight, I'm sure there was much less attention being paid to the skies during these hours than would be if this was a flight that took off at noon.

I feel like Malaysia's initial reaction and handling of this whole thing set up a situation where families just weren't going to really ever believe what was put out about this flight. The credibility was gone. And then people also getting on a conspiracy that the US, Britain, and Australia were the ones handling all the search and everyone else got shut out. What other countries could do a search of this magnitude? It's a US company that found France's flight cause it couldn't be found after 2 years, even though they knew where it went down because a lot of debris had been found. Britain and US are who produce basically all commercial jets, so it stands to reason these countries have the best technology and companies to find these things.

  4. I really hope this gets a season 2. I had a feeling Murphy was gonna screw her, but I didn't think it would quite be so calculated. Those last shots really showed us that it was his plan the whole time.. I think I'm in the minority, but I really thought they had good chemistry. Maybe it's because there were romance tropes in there that I love, but I was rooting for them. If they want that to be the main romance, I don't really know how they come back from it, because damn, that was ice cold.

I didn't totally love her friends. I'm happy they made up in the end, but I thought they were too hard on her. Did she mess up? Of course she did. But they acted like it was vindictive, and I feel like really missed an opportunity on the show to dig further into the whole "model minority" topic as it relates to Asians.

I was kind of hoping the 3 of them would end up opening their own firm, and I guess they maybe will, but it appears there will be a detour through another stint of the big corporate law firm.

  5. I think the Karen storyline from this season shows one of the flaws of them doing these big jumps between seasons. You can tell the writers have storylines they want to do for the characters, but also with space, so they're making these jumps to make the stories with space possible, and then forcing in the character storylines.

It was evident in season 1 that they were having Karen go on a progression from being very black and white and rigid in her thinking and behaviors to seeing more shades of grey. Then, when Shane died, it's a catalyst to have this storyline showing how much she has changed from Ed, and how she's also spiraling and in pain. But by jumping 10 years in the future, and telling the story now is why I think it feels so unnatural and forced. Because it is.

Nothing about the beginning of the season showed us that Karen and Ed were on these different paths or changed but hadn't realized it yet. They made a point of showing us that Ed knows Karen smokes pot, and appears amused by it, not a hint of any annoyance around it. They have Karen owning the bar, and he's supportive and they have family dinners there. They took these efforts to show they had both worked through Shane's death, and then suddenly in the middle of the season, they start telling us about them being separated after his death, and Karen now can't stand the idea of him going back to space, though she told him to do it. Their storyline was honestly backwards. It was like the last half of the season for them should've been the beginning, and then what they showed us in the first half should've been done in the back half.

  6. Here's what I don't understand about all of this. How is no one bringing up that they were in a nearly identical situation, only reversed, not too long ago? How has no one pointed out to Hope that she found herself pregnant while Liam was married to Steffy and though the "out" is that Liam was "done" with Steffy when they slept together, he was right back with her with a quickness in true Liam fashion. To me, Hope just feels like such a hypocrite as she wails about all of this because it almost feels like chickens coming home to roost for her. But I guess that's my problem with B&B as a whole. The characters are always hypocritical with rarely having relevant history and background brought up in these storylines that could make for some interesting layers to the story and good scenes.

I apologize if any of this is confusing, I haven't had caffeine yet today. lol

Kelly Monaco tried as hard as she could to keep Sam with Drew. She saw the writing on the wall

People give Kelly shit because she sleepwalks through everything, but man I don't blame the girl. We've seen that she will absolutely put effort into selling a relationship and storylines, and it's only once she got stuck in the Jasam stuff again that she shut down. She's done it with Steve multiple times over the years to promote and push that love story, and then she's done it with her other romantic interests too. It's only once she got stuck in neutral with all character growth erased that she basically shut down with anything involving Jasam. Yes, it's not the most professional thing in the world, but until Mo and SBu get canned for the same thing, I won't knock her for it, especially since it's so obvious that those 2 railroad other actors/characters on the show just so they can act out the same scenes over and over for decades now. God I wish they would bring Billy Miller back and let that be a thing. Or someone. Just let Kelly do something other than Jasam, for the love of all that is holy.

  8. Someone who has paid closer attention, help bring me up to speed. I thought Finn recused himself as Steffy's doctor. I know they kissed and everything, but I had been under the assumption that he was still not her doctor anymore. Or did B&B just leave that in limbo?

I will say, I appreciate that Finn is getting some more interaction with others in the cast. He's still wooden, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for awhile due to how he's had to come into the show in the midst of a pandemic. I do think today was his best day so far, though.

I also appreciate how rough Ridge looked today. I think that was very accurate for a parent to look that drained and rough when their child is going through a hard time, and since he stayed the night, I'm guessing he slept on the couch, or didn't sleep at all, so him looking rough is even more accurate.

God, Liam sounded so self-righteous today. Having to make sure everyone know he was right, try and blame Finn for so much. Dude, we get it, you don't want Steffy moving on.

Also, Finn, did say he wasn't disagreeing with what Liam did, just pointed out that it could cause her to spiral further. And I agree with him. I do not think Liam handled any of that the right way, which I get. When you're scared and mad, emotions can get the best of you. I do wish he'd show some maturity and admit that yes, he should've taken Kelly, but he also could have gone about that in a different way, cause all he did that day was escalate the situation over and over and over.

Have to also add that I really wish Liam wasn't involved in the scenes today at Steffy's house. He keeps jumping to being really condescending too fast, which is so not needed right now. It should've been Thomas, but oh well, it is B&B.

  9. I really wish they would've had Brooke and Hope leave for a bit during the scenes today. Having so many people telling Steffy she had a problem and basically all repeating the same thing over and over, was too much, and I think just kept driving her stress up and up and up. Once Ridge got there, I think it should've been just Ridge and Liam with her at that point, or even Ridge and Brooke. I think the numbers needed to reduce and for the conversation to not be so much of 4-on-1. Cause everything that went down in Brooke's house over the past few days has done nothing but escalate the situation. Steffy isn't going to be the first priority for Liam, Hope, or Brooke, which I get, and that does nothing for someone in as vulnerable of a mental state as Steffy has been in these scenes. They were powerful scenes, but also a disaster for the situation at hand.

If she’s lonely, she needs to do something about it. 🙄

She is trying to do something about it, but he's all over her and everyone else about that. The only reason he's found out about the pills is because he was so worked up over her getting cozy with the doctor and just happened to find her passed out, but if she'd been awake and with it when he came over, that's what the fight was going to be about.

She starts pacing and then folks, she dares to say this to Liam: "You already took Phoebe away from me. And now you're taking Kelly?"

    tumblr_meu6bk9Dzu1r7rib5o1_r1_500.gif

Newsflash, sweetums, Phoebe was NEVER your child. She was stolen from Liam and Hope and kept from them for the better part of a year and what set that little chain of events in motion? Oh, that's right, your quest to adopt an insta-sister for Kelly and fodder to rope Liam into playing daddy after he had just lost his other daughter.

But Steffy didn't take Beth from Hope and Liam. She had no idea she was raising their child. She adopted a child that happened to be a kidnapped child, which she didn't know. So to say that the child was never hers is getting a little too close to saying adopted children aren't actually the children of the parents who adopt them, which I hope isn't what you're actually implying.

And Beth being taken from her is of course painful. They spent nearly a year on the switch only to totally brush over the actual reveal, but Steffy did raise the child for nearly a year as her own, so of course she'd have a lot of pain tied up in that child being ripped from her. She literally came home to find Hope and Liam with Beth telling her it's their child and then Brooke and Ridge barge in for Brooke to throw oil on the fire by acting like Steffy is deranged to be confused and upset at what's just been thrown at her. And without being given a single moment to process any of it, they took Beth, and Liam just walked on out, like he hadn't been living there. She's pulled some shitting things in her history as a character, but Steffy didn't do anything wrong in that storyline, and she very much so got the short end of the stick. And it's only now with this botched addict storyline that she's even being allowed to acknowledge it.

On another note, my god, why can none of these characters make decisions that don't automatically make things 100% worse? Liam was right when he said Steffy's family needed to know. So he should've gotten Ridge or Thomas over there, let them both see what he does, everyone have a conversation, and then take Kelly back to his place rather than just leaving Steffy by herself, only to then go and immediately tell Brooke and Hope, when Ridge and Thomas still have no idea what the hell is even going on.

  12. I'm so over COVID restrictions. I feel like it's starting to really hinder stuff on-screen. First, I feel like basically all the actors are stiff, and no one has chemistry with anyone. I know Tanner mentioned around the time he started that it's so strict that if he leaves a pen on set, he has to be the one to go back and get it. Someone can't even touch a pen he's touched. It makes me think that the actors are so focused on being so far apart and probably being sure to not touch something that another actor might need to touch when they move around in scenes (I feel like I notice more random moving of positions in scenes, probably an attempt to gives us a more normal feel), that the lines are secondary, and any natural rhythm or spontaneity they may have ever had before is practically non-existent.

I feel like that's really why I'm feeling nothing from Dr. Finn. I don't think Tanner Novlan is a great actor or anything, but I feel bad for the guy that he's thrust into the show in a new character, being inserted into a love story with a super popular character who has been in a never ending triangle for over a decade, and had no chance to get comfortable with any of this stuff in some normal way. He never had the chance to get comfortable with his character or Jacqueline outside of these restrictions, and I can't imagine that's an easy thing.

And, it's not just him I see it with. I feel like I'm seeing it in basically all of the actors, because they're so restricted in what they can do, that it's either a lot of over-acting or under-acting as they try to find some balance, and then I think the storytelling has been even worse since coming back, because I'm sure the distance requirements eliminate a lot of scene options. Can't have big group scenes. Can't really have restaurant/dinner scenes. None of the kids are in scenes. Heck, they can't even have one character let the other into their house due to social distancing rules, so they keep coming up with clunky lines to justify it. And that's only what I think of off the top of my head. I get the COVID restrictions and I appreciate them, but I also miss normalcy, in more things than just soaps.

I’m Team Hope here. She explained the reason for the delay in bringing Kelly home and that she would be bringing her back in a few hours, not keeping her indefinitely.

Hope is Kelly’s stepmother and the mother of Kelly’s little sister  and is genuinely concerned for Steffy. And said as much. And apologized and acknowledged Steffy’s ordeal. I saw nothing but caring and concern in her eyes and voice. And Hope has EVERY right to be concerned as Steffy was clearly unhinged and hungover as hell.

Imagine if Hope had brought Kelly home when Steffy expected. Girlfriend was passed out on the couch or at minimum, sleeping off her lovely little mixture of pain pills and alcohol. That would have been such a fabulous environment for Kelly to come home to.

And when I think of the gall of Steffy bitching about Kelly coming home a few HOURS later after Hope was kept from her child for the better part of a YEAR, with Steffy and her rabid determination to adopt an insta-sister for Kelly so she could have a line to go with her hook and reel Liam back in as daddy to both helping set events in motion, yeah, it’s a no-brainer for me to say that Steffy needs to have some fucking perspective and clean up her messy-ass life.

Being a stepmother gives her 0 right to make choices that directly go against what was decided between Liam and Steffy. She is not the parent in this situation, and has no right to behave as one.

True, Steffy wouldn’t be taking care of Beth because Hope has a coven of Logan women ready to pitch in to help her including her mother. There’d be no need for Steffy to offer assistance. But since Taylor can’t be bothered to drag her ass back to LA to tend to her daughter and granddaughter and old ass Ridge is too busy in his love triangle and Thomas is....Thomas, Steffy really doesn’t have anyone else to help her. And Liam as Kelly’s dad most definitely should be parenting his child and helping take stress off Steffy in the day-to-day care. If he wasn’t we’d be calling him a deadbeat dad.

Just like with Quinn letting herself into Brooke’s house, apparently with social distancing in effect the party line is ‘the door was open so I let myself in’. Storywise Finn could credibly believe be concerned Steffy was in distress since he knows she’s recovering from debilitating injuries and was yelling so it’s not unreasonable for him to come in a he may have thought she was in trouble.

I just don’t find it out of line for Hope to voice her concerns about Steffy’s behavior. And better to voice it to her face than via Liam which would look all the more undermining. Before Liam, they were raised as sisters and related to each other grudgingly as family -depending on the week. Their relationship is highly complicated and Hope can be pushy but I’m not getting the vibe Hope wants Kelly, she’s just being a little too pushy like her Aunt Katie but her instincts aren’t wrong and no one else - Ridge, Liam, Taylor - is really pushing the issue except for Thomas who looks like he’s actually going to be playing the role of being her drug pusher to ‘help’ her not realizing that he’s enabling her addiction.

I am cracking up at the thought of Hope burning rubber to spill the details of Finn to Liam, Brooke, Donna, and Katie because her eyes were bugging when he walked in and she learned who he was. 😂 Steffy's ‘ Oh S#$t reaction when Hope saw him walk in was good because she knew she was gonna be in for it now.

    Rumor has it

      Reveal spoiler

Steffy is going to intentionally play up to Finn’s obvious attraction to her in order to ingratiate herself and try to score more pills. She tells him all about her drama and trauma including losing baby ‘Phoebe’ which is some kind of low using that kid to score drugs. I get she lost a daughter but Phoebe didn’t die, she’s Beth and she’s still a sister to Kelly so....yeah. Steffy is gonna go from bad to a manipulative user with a quickness.

Hope may not be out of line for voicing concerns, but where she's out of line is directly going against what Steffy and Liam had agreed. She lied to Liam and told him she was taking Kelly back to Steffy, then did the exact opposite. She would lose her mind if Steffy pulled that with her.

  15. I think I understand what the writers are trying to do with Thomas and his conversations with Steffy. Siblings are masters at pointing out realities that the other doesn't want to address, but they're just writing it so badly. They're having him lecture her every time he's there. Unless they're attempting to go down yet another path of him being manipulative, they're just bungling the writing on it, which sucks, cause I think he has really good points. I think Thomas is pointing out things that Steffy hasn't let herself face, but the writers are going about it wrong.

And good lord, Hope. Her decisions with Kelly look so much worse based on the fact that they're having her keep Liam out of it, basically, and make it look like it's her wanting all this, and Liam is just in the dark. Why not have it with both her and Liam on the same page, but because Liam sucks at this stuff, keeps leaving Hope as the messenger? She keeps trying to say it's cause Kelly is having fun, and they want to give Steffy time to heal, but taking the decision away from Steffy does nothing good, and she'd rightfully flip if the roles were reversed and Steffy did this to her. It all just makes me mad because this could be so much better, but with how she gave Steffy all of .5 seconds to accept the Beth/Phoebe thing before taking her away from Steffy, then having Thomas give her Douglas, this stuff with Kelly looks really really bad. It's starting to feel like kids are Pokemon to her, gotta catch 'em all.

Malcolm Beck has been the most heinous foe on this show imo

Yes, but the attack scenes happened after the conversation I was mentioning. So her ripping on him wasn't in response to him crossing that line.

Malia doesn't have to read any message boards to know she needs to try some damage control. Her comment sections on her social media profiles are a disaster. With all Sonny's money and what she got from Jax in the divorce, Carly should be wearing $2600 dresses, not looking like she shops at the local polyester store.

Portia just became head of internal medicine, Finn is infectious diseases, Monica is chief of surgery and a cardiologist,Lucas is the ER doc and the invisible Dr. Navarro is the current OB/GYN. I guess med student TJ covers all the other specialties. No wonder GH is in trouble.

We don't have to see Monica, but it would be nice if someone remembered that she's Jason's mother and mentioned that they called her to tell her about Jason. If they don't want LC to appear, they could say that Monica is away at a convention but she's calling to check on Jason regularly.

Or heck, this isn't the 80s anymore. We have FaceTime and all those other video chats available. They could easily do the conference route, but then have Jason FaceTime her, so we can still get some LC on our screen. Honestly,, it could also provide a brief moment of entertainment. I just can't imagine Jason knows how to FaceTime and it could be amusing for there to be a scene of one of the kids trying to teach him. Family moments, levity, and LC is safe. All around win.

I've been watching some of the recent episodes, but does anyone know how I can watch older ones? I tried the NBC website and it has it so it looks like all the episodes are there, but when you click on them it says the video isn't available any longer, and YouTube has been of little help.

  21. It seems I'm in the minority, but I think everyone did a horrible job with how they handled Steffy during all of this. Nearly instantly after telling her that Phoebe is Beth, Hope is telling her that Beth is going home with her, insistently telling Steffy her name is Beth, holding Beth through pretty much the whole thing. Meanwhile, Steffy was left all alone on the other side of the room for most of the episode nearly hyperventilating through the whole thing. Could no one comfort the woman other than Ridge?

Steffy's world got completely ripped out from under her, and even though I think Hope and Liam were trying to be sympathetic, it was an entire episode of them telling Steffy what was going to happen, rather than try and gently coax her through it. And no, I'm sorry, but they're not thinking about Beth by having her immediately go home with Liam and Hope. At least give Steffy 24 hours to process this too. Maybe Hope and Liam could stay at Cliff House for a night or two, ease everyone into it.

Steffy has done her fair share of crap and it could be claimed this is her getting karma or something, but I just don't love how they're writing anyone in this triangle right now.
