Yikes. Lupe's ejection fraction was only 35%? I wish they had given us exact numbers when they did the TEE. I work in a pre-anesthesia clinic and our doctors would not have approved either surgery with an EF like that. General anesthesia carries the same risks no matter how long you are under. I'm also curious about surgery lengths. For the surgeons I work with, the difference in the type of surgeries is a matter of about two hours...
