I’m not a fan of pastry and horrible at making it but many of those pies looked delicious! Do they not have blueberries in England? This, I think, is the second time someone (this week, Paul) referred to blueberries as very American.

I will miss Nicky and her accent and humor. Will miss Rowan too. Both seemed to struggle every week so it was just a matter of time.

I’m so glad Cristy got a handshake and star baker, I hope it will boost her confidence. I thought Dana did well too as well as Josh and Matty.

I thought the same thing about blueberries. I think they implied that the blueberries were “bland.” I have never thought of them as bland so the cultural differences is amazing to see. A nice blueberry and lemon pound cake with a cuppa of joe in the am is highly recommended.

  2. Judy really is getting worse with her inability to listen ( or hear - might be her age) and using examples that do not relate to what is in front of her. The episode with the Card Players where the members stopped paying dues in 2019 and was $2,000 left in the kitty. After that, they had a big holiday party in Dec 2019 that was paid from with the $2,000. 80 players and their partners ( I assume) went to a nice party ( both sides of the suit agreed it was nice.) Throwing parties is not cheap - everything adds up. So where did the money come from the new club was rewarded if not from the owner of the club after its 2019's party? Why should the new club now get money when they have not contributed in years?

The other case was today's ... Judy was using the example of having a residential apartment start a commerical piano business with four pianos next door to the defendant. Completely different situations.  I do agree a hookah lounge would have been a PIA to live over but not acknowledging it is commercial property vs residental was remiss in her example - that she harped on and on about. That said, I would have loved to know what he called the tenant in his papers - that Judy had to ask one of her minions what it meant. Oh boy... Any guesses?

    Judy, Judy, Judy.

  3. Cooksdelight, thank you for posting this. I'm dating myself because I remember meeting Ric back in the early/mid 90s when he was overseeing the Regional Food Bank annual fundraising dinners. Also, I went to his place in Saugerties a bunch of times. Love the green beans. The green beans as an app with a Ketel One martini... mmm mmm.

I was ( am) a fussy eater. And truly I credit Ric, for introducing me to all kinds of new foods for me back then at the dinners. He made it interesting, fun and a lot less scary for someone with deep seeded food issues.

I moved away from the Capital District a long time ago, but I always keep an eye on "My Guy" when he is on these shows and root for him as if we were Besties!

(He would have no clue who I am.)

I think I'm completely alone in this, but I don't really see Marjorie's disdain for Isaac.  Honestly, not seeing it. I think maybe she doesn't have great social skills, that's it.

Come on and get in this boat with me. Now I am actually looking for it and don't really see it. And Isaac seems like he would not put up with someone being an asshole to him for long. Be interesting to see what they say about each other after the show.
