I can somewhat see wanting grandchildren, but just to have someone to leave you money, I can think of lots of worthy causes.
Wish they'd considered adopting one of the kids aging out of foster care.
I think the woman in the other family may fit that, but in both of these, not everyone seems to be on board.
Hope I'm not the only one who watched this.A&E be like, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I'm in.
