  1. If the scripts were good, they wouldn't be earning their big salaries selling what's on the page as well as they do; anyone could do it. I still remember the remarkable job Kaley did with the rubbish she was handed on the final season of Charmed.

It seemed like her and her Charmed "sister" (Billie? or was that her.. the sister anyway) basically ruined the entire show.

  2. Kenzie did look great at hiphop! I wonder, is hiphop something you'd be better at if you're short like Kenzie? Somehow I feel it would be easier for someone like Kenzie than say, Ava.

Where can we see Maddie doing hiphop?

Jojo could have won if her choreography wasn't so lame. Brynn just looks too skinny when she does hiphop.

  3. Abby hinted more than just the Ziegler's will leave, and I'm scared they will use the minis to fill out the team. Finding more dancers who can emote like Maddie would be better, none of the minis are interesting at all.

  4. I agree that everyone should wear what they like, but does Jojo really want her hair to be blonde, or is that a Jess function?  As for the bows, I see your point, but does she really just want to be known as "that girl with the bow?"  I would hate to see that become a crutch for her, because I genuinely think she is a little girl with so much personality beyond a bow.  Is she going to have to feel like she has to wear a bow at 25, because that is what she is known for?  I hope not, but I think when something becomes a crutch, its a possibility.

Possibly, in the sense that when she stops wearing bows it will be like "a big thing", kind of like when you always do well at things you have such pressure every time in case you don't, I mean people expect something of you.. well people expect bows from Jojo so she might feel that she can't stop. Right now I think she likes the image she has of blonde with bows, but who knows about the future.

I feel bad for Brynn but she could never be Chloe, because her mother isn't as funny.

^Agreed about the phones, it irritates me so much when people do that when out to dinner.

  5. Her speech was way worse, on Abby's Ultimate Dance competition, but yeah Jessalyn seriously needs to get JoJo speech therapy. But she's too busy trash talking her child's teammate. And it's time for JoJo to ditch those giant hair bows. She's turning 13 next month and it's not cute anymore.

It's okay, she should be able to wear whatever she likes, sneakers instead of heels, bows, whatever. I like them :D

  6. Mackenzie looks much more like her father IMO, I think she's very pretty though (despite being ridiculously short).

It's funny how they like hiphop now but in the first couple of seasons they claimed to hate it (or was that Paige/Chloe/Brooke?).

  7. Agreed about the whole Melissa telling Mackenzie at the same time as the other girls was....terrible parenting, however I'm pretty sure that was staged. Not only because all reality tv is, but also because mackenzie didn't really look all too shocked or upset to me. I honestly think Mackenzie can either stay on the show or leave. I don't think she cares either way. At this point, she knows her sister is her mothers favorite and she knows her career isn't taking off like Maddie's is. I also agree that Maddie's facial expressions throughtout the entire season are just very stoic and over the show. I remember in earlier seasons Maddie was always so emotional when it came to Abby and kissed up to her all the time. Now it's obvious that she was a better actress than we thought, because at this point she can't even pretend to shed a tear over leaving the team. Same with Melissa. Wasn't she Abby's "best friend" for years? She watched her dog all the time , was good friends with Abby's mother, and made the audience aware of how close her and Abby were in every scene? Now Melissa is just like.. okay bye. I mean I can't blame her for kissing up and wanting to get her child further, but wow what a phony baloney. Melissa's attitude toward Abby changed dramatically in the last season.

I don't think Maddie was acting as an 8 year old, she probably really did want Abby's approval and love back then, but now she's kind of acting above that :(

  8.

I did actually feel bad for Abby tonite. She's lost a lot throughout the years - almost her studio, her dog, her mom, wonderful dancers and is now involved in the lawsuit. Melissa was so fake when telling Abby and I think Abby finally got it - Melissa's being your friend was all pretend. Yes Abby wanted Maddie to be a star and I'm sure she'd never hold her back - but Melissa's comment about her lawyer telling her not to say anything was the most telling - it's all about Melissa. And Maddie's blank stare when Abby was upset and crying - she seems to have become as cold as Melissa.

Yeah, also when Abby took Maddie to dinner again, Maddie was blank the whole time. Abby actually cared about Maddie and Kenzie so it's pretty sad they're acting like that. I also think Kenzie already knew they were leaving, she has been in the background in past episodes when mums were speculating and looked like she knew.

I agree that it's so strange how Kalani turned out so well, but I'm wondering how much of a part Kira played in raising her.

  9. Abby is creepy. Here she is giving inappropriate commentary while Maddie and Kendall play with a hoverboard.

That's a really weird video for her to upload, why even xD Gosh though I didn't realise Maddie was so petite.

  10. It was pretty shitty for DJ to kick Jackson out of his own room. Admittedly I've lost count of how many rooms that house has, but surely there's enough for all the kids to have their own rooms?

Jodie and Andrea still have great comedic timing. DJ is as usual the boring straight man. Kimmie grates, though. There's a reason sidekicks are sidekicks - too much of them and they start to wear on you.

All four kids are annoying. I'm beginning to appreciate the charm of the original three girls, or maybe it's because I haven't rewatched those episodes since childhood. All I can think of when I see the babies on the show is how they're being forced into it a la the Olsens. I don't blame them at all for skipping out on what was essentially a working childhood.

Yeah, DJ was always boring. Michelle was a brat, but more interesting than DJ. Stephanie was queen, obviously. I don't like the oldest son and the baby isn't really a person yet (and not cute like Michelle), but the middle kid is great!

  11. Abby is that bad according to people who have had to work with her outside her own studio.  I've been told her worst behavior hasn't made it to the shows.

Oh wow, like what? She always had a nicer side that made me wonder, like in the past they would air some nice bonding moments between her and the kids.

  12. I think it's funny that for years we have said Abby is so horrible why would they keep their kids with her and they told us we don't see everything and it's for the cameras... And now it seems to some degree Abby has mellowed (maybe she is just distracted by other issues) but they want us to be up in arms of every perceived injustice... But this time Abby really didn't do anything, it was Kendall, probably with Jills influence that was in the wrong.=

Maybe Abby was never that bad and it was always the mum's moaning.

^Kendall didn't lose it, she came back into the room and asked Abby not to yell and then when Abby tried to reply Jill walked Kendall away. It was Jill's fault, they could have had a discussion but Jill babied Kendall.

  13.

Similarly I think the Hyland girls will get to enjoy a normal high school and college life, so long as the show didn't leave them permanently mentally scarred.

Well Brooke at least shouldn't be scarred, I always had the impression Abby was rather fond of her. She complained Brooke lost her drive and such, but that was true. I did watch some of Paige's Youtube clips and she seems pretty happy, 100% normal teenage girl (as is Chloe). I do agree with Tasya that Chloe is seeking fame quite a lot though (maybe Christie's influence). Chloe is friends with teenagers who have been in movies/on TV, she has an "in" to the industry just like Maddie does.

  14. *cough* P99Q8gT.jpg

That's easily Kendall in 30 years, please don't let that be Maddie xD

I also was wondering when was the last time someone was given a solo or a duet by Abby and they refused to do it in order to be "honorable". Never? That's what I thought. All of these hypocritical moms full of sanctimonious judginess because JoJo didn't refuse the solo. Really?

Maddie did at one of the nationals didn't she?

And I'm not sure if its prison stress, but Abby is looking like she dropped quite a bit of weight in her TH (with the coral/orange outfit on)....so good for her.  She is never going to be a skinny mini, but she looks good with a little less weight.  And you know what, if she is getting her groove back......good for her!  I don't want to hear the particulars, but good for her.

Yes I loved last episode where she joked and said "we're not talking about jail" and everyone laughed.

  15.

One thing I was impressed by was Jodie Sweetin. Probably because Stephanie felt the most like an actual person not a caricature of one like the rest of them especially the kids. She also seemed to be adding the most adult tone to the show (not just with her breasts) with her dialogue and the way she acts.  She's probably the most interesting character on this reboot.

Stephanie was the most interesting back then too, she was always my favourite! The credits made me cry, wow nostalgia.

  16. Arghhh I cannot.. look on Twitter, everyone is like "I'm so proud of Kendall for using her voice and standing up for herself"! About time she "used her voice", and that goes for everyone bar Nia. And screeching "why are you so mean!" is hardly standing up for yourself..

  17. I hope Mackenzie, Nia and Jojo at least go to university, I feel they all definitely could do well there.

Chloe probably doesn't want to do solos because of the pressure, think of her enormous fan base, if she competed solos they'd all be watching, if she didn't win she might feel like a failure because then you can't blame it on the show.. the pressure might have made the idea of solos not sound very fun. I think she enjoyed the social aspect of being with a group.

  18. I felt the papering over of the term rigged related to Melissa not wanting that associated in any way with the results we see week after week on the show.  In her mind Maddie has now legitimately "made it" and it won't do for anybody to look too close at some of the "competitions" on Maddie's resume, replete with first place finishes.  Regular viewers understand many of the competitions have been fabrications for the show, but it won't do for those who understand Maddie is a multiple title holder by reputation only to be exposed to that kind of idea.

It's been a while, but hadn't Maddie already won competitions before DM? And she was in the top 10 at that Dance Awards thing I think. But I read a post somewhere saying that the type of dances Kalani and Brynn do at their studio is more in vogue at the competitions, the whole "do a move and hold it" kind of dance, a bit boring (I prefer the ALDC tell a story style), but popular now, which is what the winner did.

I didn't like Kendall's dancing when she came onto the show, then there was one season (maybe 4?) when she started doing really nice turns and I kind of enjoyed her, but now she's grown bigger and she can't carry herself gracefully on stage, she looks clunky. Compared to Kalani who also grew up, but still looks graceful,
