  1. I felt bad for Cole.

I'm glad producers showed that extra footage. At first was like "Geez the producers are really trying to hamfist this asshole Cole narrative." But they were trying to throw the poor thing a bone.

It sounded like he was teasing her for eating so little like "Whoa whoa, two cutsies? Wanna make room for dinner?" I could see if they were two doughnuts or something. Then he seemed concerned that all she ate was a banana and admitted to offering her a pokebowl! Pokebowls are usually served in decent sized portions. If he were trying to control her weight, he would have maybe snarkily commended her for eating right.

I say all that to say, she's bugging. And I hated her using the word ghetto in that context.

  2. I heard the rumors were true. I think Jonna and her husband were separated since she took down all his photos at one point. They've looked like they've recently reconciled though.

I wished Yes would've stopped talking and remained focused. I wished Veronica gave him hints. I was good on not seeing Wes for another 10 years. I feel like this show will replicate the main show again. I don't even know who Kailah is! Must suck for Tara and Dan to be relegated to subs to have her on.

I really hope Roni stays for a long time.  I'm really concerned for her especially when she has virtually no ties.

Also I feel like they should do a puzzle that isn't colors for Syrus.  Dude got screwed by the last one and the producers obviously now coming in he is color blind.

Roni needs to join The Palace!

  4. Forgive me but the San Fran cast was boring without Pedro and Puck. I'm not for Puck being back at all because he's repulsive, but people will tune in to see his antics. And Pedro was super charming and charismatic. I truly think he would've carried the show without his storyline. I really liked Pam and Judd but eh. Rachel was okay but would've fit into either Boston, Miami or Seattle better. Mohammed was blah. Poor Corey was a huge yawn. Without Puck and Pedro being polar opposites, this show would've been London the prequel.

    OMG...make this show end.

    Stupidity as follows:

Six year old Kevin did not write out that Valentine as Sophie walked into the room. He was never shown to be any genius...hard name to spell correctly. And there were hardly any little Sophies in the mid-80s...it was an Eastern European granny name back then.

As a first grade teacher, I absolutely rolled my eyes at that. It would've been more realistic and adorable if he'd misspelled her name.

I am LOVING these homecomings!  One of my most prized possessions is my collection of RW seasons #1 New York-#?? Key West (minus Boston, which I have never, ever seen) on VHS.  Now I'm feeling the urge to rewatch New Orleans, to sort of compare.

The challenges were never my thing, so I never saw any involving Julie to get a sense of her behavior after RW ended.  I did "hear" about something with her mother angling to get her the best/most speaking gigs at the expenses of the other castmates and the hard feelings that resulted, but I'd never known such a thing happened with Danny, and via Julie herself.  That's disappointing.  And watching the preview clips of the rest of the season shines such a bad light on Julie that I'm inclined to believe she really WASN'T the sweet kid I admit I believed her to be.  That's a shame.

Otherwise, I kind of appreciate when cast members like Jamie come in and basically do nothing.  The original season was the time for youthful drama; homecoming quietness means maturity and grown-up-edness.  I like that.

I'd love to see San Francisco, Seattle, Hawaii, and Chicago, but I have a feeling we're not going to get them all.

I also used to think Julie was super sweet and genuine during her season. I did see her behavior on the challenge and just thought how competition sometimes brought out different sides to people and how she was young.

However, THIS Julie is a surprise. The manic behavior.  The way she spoke to Melissa, the cussing, and the upcoming excessive drinking. She seems totally totally off to put it mildly.

  7. I could kiss the editors for the music choices for the intros of each castmate. How they edited Lit's My Own Worst Enemy to fit Jamie calling Kelley a bitch and cut to "....I didn't mean to call you that!" was perfect.

Katie can miss me with her complaints about being put up against Ayanna in the elimination. Katie put herself into elimination by being a quitter. You deserve to go home if you’re not even going to try.

Is the life shield only good for the next elimination, or can you hold onto it for later if you don’t get put into the next elimination after you earn the shield?

Word! What's with the entitlement from Katie? I didn't appreciate her calling Steve an idiot. No, you're an idiot for continuing to do these challenges knowing there will be a heights mission and knowing the producers will exploit your fear. I hope she never comes back to a challenge. Stay close to the ground, girl.

  9. Man. Everytime I see David (last time was on the Battle of the Sexes Challenge) I want him to be different. But he never is.

Tami's explanation of her laughter and her reaction makes so much sense now. Looking back I can see her dealing with a serious disorder. I appreciated her being so vulnerable. Then seeing David laughing again. Ugh.

I'm glad they started with this incident so we can get it out of the way. There was so much more to this cast than this.

And Beth A with the Tshirt was adorable!!

    Beth S looks amazing.

I try to like Eric but he always ruins it. He always acts like he is helping some woman who is having trouble when it's like bitch you can't do it either! It seems so condescending.

Exactly what I was trying to say. It seemed more like him trying to detract from the fact that he was dead last.

  11. Watched this one super early thanks to being up with a newborn!

In my last post I blasted the eating challenges but boy did the "Flagpole Sitta" montage soften the blow. I freaking looove that song. And Alton was killing me eating that pile of poo like it was a gourmet meal!

Yes is fantastic. I always remember him as the levelheaded self-assured kid on RR Semester at Sea (which is on YouTube btw... still great to rewatch) who scoffed at his professors who thought he'd flunk out, and who tried to squash animosity amongst Veronica and Ayanna. He was always so confident yet laidback and humble. Very well-deserved win. Loved his shit talk. I bet he would win against these young whippersnappers nowadays.

    Congrats to Jonna and Kellyanne!

Also Easy using "motivating Aneesa" as an excuse to accept his loss was laughable.

  12. Sounds harsh but I hope Aneesa wins so she can finally stfu.

I loved Alton and Darrell talking smack. "I wouldn't want to be paired with Easy I tell you what." "Jisela this ain't for you!"

Is it me or is Alton a little less sharp these days? He just seems slightly more confused about things. It can't be age because he's only about early 40s no?

I'm also really over the eating challenges. It's very lazy at this point. The peppers are more than enough. What if someone has a seriously bad reaction one of these days?

She's ways been painfully thin. I didn't notice anything different here.

I agree her and Irulan were always stick thin but she looks unhealthy now. I gasped when she appeared on camera  this time around compared to her first appearance in Vegas where it didn't really register.

  14. I really felt bad for Katie. She's obviously grown and I sense embarrassment for her actions on previous seasons. She seems like she wants to prove to herself and everyone that she's not that person anymore but had Trishelle lure the old Katie out again and you can tell she regrets it.

I don't know what Trishelle's issue was. Was she drinking? Why did she feel like Katie should rush up to tell her anything? Homegirl was hungry and probably thinking of a gentle way to break the news that it was Kendal. Just because Derrick's thirsty behind wanted to break the news first doesn't mean Katie wouldn't have told her. I agree that Trishelle never liked Katie and was a frenemy. The nerve of her to tell her husband and mom that she was sorry over talking to Katie.

Jemmye and her awful hair was really annoying me in the aftershow. At least Jisela is funny.

I consider real OG's to be anyone who was actually on The Real World and Road Rules before the franchise took a nosedive. All of these "challenge"-type recruits never really cut it for me. Like many, I was hoping the challenges would be less intense and more fun/field day like the old days. But I'm loving the 90s music!

Really wish Paramount+ would put up Battle of the Sexes I and II, among the other older RW/RR challenges.

BOTS I is uploaded on YouTube somewhere.

I love how Arissa is all "zen" but telling someone to go f themselves on the trailer. I wonder if she'll even speak to Alton since they were on bad terms during that crazy Vegas reunion. Does anyone remember her yelling at him "Bone out, negro!" Lol she always had the most interesting slang.

The first Battle of the Seasons is the one I'd love to rewatch! I agree that Jemmeye and Jonna are not really legends/OGs/all stars. Big Easy definitely is not - he never even did a real season! Understandably they had to fill some holes to get a full cast so I'll be grateful for all the real OGs we did get! Hopefully they all had a good enough time that there's interest from some others for an OGs 2.

I rolled my eyes at Big Easy's celebratory yelling after the team win. He ain't do ish yet again.

  17. I was shocked at Kendal's skin too. I noticed on her Instagram that she has a skin and joint condition called Ehlers Danlos syndrome which causes skin to be bruised and stretched easily and joints to bend easily.  That explains the splotchiness of her skin. I wonder if she'll address it.

I think the ladies and gentleman who have gained some weight over the years look pretty good. I'm really proud of Jisela's performance!

  18. Not giving him excuses but I noticed Bryan's behavior kinda coincides with him injuring himself and not being able to wrestle. I'm wondering if he's beginning to feel insecure about everything and Brie is massaging his ego by allowing him to say and do whatever.

    Still not right at all.
