It'll be an interesting as to how Sansa engineers Littlefinger's demise because she probably won't straight out kill him by her own hand like Arya would. He might do a bit of damage before he's gone, but she will end him.

During their entire scene together I was yelling at Sansa to stab him--I think I hate him the most out of anyone.  That's one reason I'm hoping Arya makes it to Winterfell soon because, even if she wasn't an assassin, she wouldn't put up with Littlefinger's shit for one second.

  2. Completely agree. And it's happened so many times this season. And in context, him alone, or with Team Witness, not saddled with crazy wife and crazy son.

Heh.  It took me a minute to figure out what wife and son you're talking about--they've become such non-entities to me.

Let me see if I have this straight - the Hidden One is totally justified in wanting his power back, but Pandora is selfish for wanting HER power back (which she gave to him). Okay then.

Yup, that sounds about right.  After all, it's all Pandora's fault in the first place for not stopping Abbie before she ran off with the shard.  And for goading Abbie into destroying it.  Forget the fact that she went to an awful lot of trouble to bring that ungrateful, whiny bastard into this realm in the first place.  I really hope Pandora's the one who gets to kill him.

Not as good as last week but I enjoyed it. Can't remember how they got rid of the Wendigo all those episodes ago, for some reason I thought it was a permanent fix, I guess it wasn't. That being said the whole theme of "something that you think will hurt you will protect you" also echoed Joe/Wendigo.

If I remember right Hawley found them a Shoshone (?) cure but after Crane recited the spell/cure they didn't think it took but then Abbie's bond to Joe is what finally made him change back to human?  Maybe?

  3. How were they able to kill the monster at the end? Gonna have to watch again.

I just watched it again and I still don't get it.  Crane shot it but why would bullets hurt it enough for Abbie to stab it with a medicine-infused spear?  Unless they have special/magic bullets now?  I'm so used to them killing things in Supernatural with iron or silver bullets that I can't keep track of what kills what but as far as I know that's not a thing on this show, is it?

Very confusing episode.  And not enough Crane.  But I was glad for the Wendigo continuity.

  4. I enjoyed the brunch scenes at the beginning. They were fun and light and I like seeing the four of them together. Regardless of whether that kaiser roll might have a potentially bothersome name to someone who had fought Hessians, it looked heinous.

Kaiser roll!  I could not figure out what a hunk of bread had to do with Hessians--that one went straight over my head.  But at least I got the eggs Benedict reference.

Where did Joe get money? Did I miss closing the door in Joe's face. LOL

I'm glad I'm not the only one confused about his money.  I thought all his dad left him was weird supernatural stuff and I don't remember him being rich before this episode.

  5. He said, "Please, Lieutenant", in this very sweet, almost shy way. Watched that a couple of times, and I agree: a lovely, very intimate beat--and one of the most genuine moments I've seen between these two characters or on this show, period.

This is why I will be crushed if the show gets canceled.  I'm not a shipper--I don't really care if they get together or not--but the two actors are fantastic and I want to see them acting opposite each other forever regardless of the plot.  I seriously doubt I would have stuck it out through season 2 if it weren't for moments like this.

There's nothing supernatural to hide, at this point. All she did was draw the symbol that she saw in the catacombs on the table without even realizing she was doing it. There's nothing supernatural about that. She was in the catacombs for 10 months. 10 months of solitude, about to go out of her mind looking at that symbol. I saw her reaction to what she was doing, wiping the symbol from the table, was out of fear and confusion. I'm sure she's thinking her drawing the symbol without thought was due to her time in the catacombs and she fears what that experience will continue to do to her mental state, which is not so farfetched considering her mom's mental state for many years before she died.

I don't remember this being mentioned yet but I just rewatched the beginning (because I wanted to see Crane in a nightgown--don't judge me!) and I'd swear Abbie is making the same motion with her finger on the table (minus the blood) as she looks at the chessboard.  If that's the case, it's a really nice, subtle, bit of direction.

  6. I was hoping they wouldn't go cliffhanger. Even as we approached the 8:00 mark (CST), a part of me was just pleasantly surprised that it was going to be a two-hour finale. It wasn't, and my heart broke.

This was me too.  I thought it was odd that I didn't remember that it was supposed to be a two-hour episode and then 5 seconds later the credits rolled.  I should have known better.  It's this sort of frustration that makes me really appreciate the show creators who write each season as if it'll be the last--with no cliffhangers.

I was also pretty annoyed that Mulder and Scully were separated for the entire show.  Mulder confronting CSM only slightly made up for that.

  7. Also, I'm totally picturing Abbie and Crane as regulars for Colonial Times' Early Burr special.

I totally missed the Burr pun!  I thought he said "early bird" which got a chuckle out of me but isn't nearly as funny.  This makes me wish Colonial Times was a real place.

I'm confused about Danny.  I thought he was vaguely aware of the supernatural things going on in town and that Abbie was involved but was keeping his knowledge from her.  But now he's pissed at her for vanishing?  Didn't he know what happened to her or did I misunderstand a lot of his past scenes?  I thought he had Sophie undercover with Nevins and they knew he had supernatural dealings.  Or this whole time did they think he was a normal non-supernatural bad guy?

  8. I also completely disagreed with Joe about what Jenny should do.  This is more of that television “he’s family, you have to forgive him” bullshit.  Just because Abbie and her father share the same blood doesn’t mean her father is not an asshole.  Her father wronged her and Abbie and he had to finally be man enough to approach them and apologize if he wants a relationship with them.

I didn't like this at all either.  Maybe Jenny doesn't want to get hurt all over again if her dad turns out to be a colossal dick.  That's a perfectly valid reason for not wanting to talk to him and she should be allowed to take all the time she wants.  If anything I would think better advice from Joe would have been that maybe she and Abbie could get some closure if they talk to him rather than the whole guilt trip of, "I would give anything to talk to my dad again."

I was okay with the Zoe send-off because I've been wondering where she was and waiting (dreading) her return.  Now it's over and done with and I don't have to give her another thought.  Not that I particularly minded the actress, but I like the show the best when Crane is bad mouthing Franklin, not moping over a girl.

  9. Okay, I'm confused.

If Lucifer couldn't get onto the sub the first time, how could he get on the second time?  Did Dean or Delphine alter the sigil on the boat ?

I think it was either Delphine killing herself with the Hand of God and getting rid of the last sigil on her shoulder or Lucifer got his spell to work.  But everything happened so fast I'm not entirely sure.

ETA: Omegamom beat me to it :)

  10. I liked the episode (Dean in a uniform!!) but ultimately it seemed pointless. The only difference at the end was that they knew it was Lucifer and not Cas.

This was my only issue.  I really loved the episode until it was revealed the Hand of God didn't work anymore.  To go through all that trouble and misery--poor Dean having to watch a whole submarine crew die--all to have a hunk of the ark that doesn't work anymore?  I don't get it.  I was yelling at Dean at the very end not to throw the Hand of God into the water because he totally looked like he was about to.  But since he listened to me, I'm hoping it'll still be useful somehow and this wasn't all for naught.

But I'm glad they didn't drag out Cas acting weird and no one questioning it.  And I agree that Misha is doing an excellent Mark Pelligrino.  And it's fun watching him switch between Lucifer and Castiel--I almost enjoyed that more than Dean in a sailor uniform.  Almost.

  11. *Really, if that had been her outfit all season, I--and perhaps some other fans--wouldn't have been quite so annoyed by her before the show began.  I mean, we still would have had the ill-judged PR announcements, poor acting, forced romance, and spurious flashbacks to deal with, but she might have been a shade more tolerable.

I definitely would have been less annoyed.  I've been rewatching season 3 (and the good bits of seasons 1 and 2) for the past couple days and I honestly couldn't tell you one single thing about her flashbacks because I'm either yelling at the TV about her costumes or fast-forwarding so I don't have to look at them.  The only shouting at the character this week was thanking her for finally wearing something reasonable.

  12. Is anyone else a Hamilton fan? I was all "America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman!" when Lafayette was on, and noted that General Howe (mentioned in the song Right Hand Man) was the bad guy unleashing the demons. I am now looking for any little mention of Hamilton characters in this show.

I've been obsessed with Hamilton since I was a kid (the dude, not the musical--not that I have anything against the musical--I wish I lived anywhere near NY so I could see it, but I digress…).  I've been waiting for him to show up since season 1.  I'm really surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet and that it's taken this long to get to Lafayette.  Both served with Washington and presumably with Crane too so there's no good reason not to have them.  I would be much more interested in seeing them than Betsy Freaking Ross every damn episode.

  13. I've been thinking too much about this but wouldn't Hutch be in just as much trouble if it was found out that he gave Steve the LEGACY KEY! and was blackmailing him? If I was Steve I'd hold that over his head to keep him quiet.

  14. I actually know a few guys who own bib/cavalry shirts like the one Dylan's wearing, BUT they wear them for Old West reenactments or Halloween costumes, not out in the real world. Unless they were eating dinner in 1881, there's no reason for that shirt.

  15. The only reason I watched any of the first season was because I love Timothy Hutton. Unfortunately I either disliked (I'm looking at you, Barb) or didn't care about any of the other characters so I gave up a few shows in. My DVR recorded it tonight (otherwise I wouldn't have even known it was back on) so since Timothy Hutton is back I'm willing to give it another try, but I'm not too optimistic.

Or maybe I'll just watch Ordinary People again instead.

  16. I sort of thought Lucifer looked like it might be good, and intended to watch the pilot, but FALLEN1? Hell no (pun intended). Thank you for not letting me waste an hour of my life.

  17. Also-I would have asked Judy if she ever actually found any money in those ripped up bags. If so, I would help her look. Lol There was one hoarder either on this show or another one that had money and checks hidden all over the place (I think they found somewhere around $20k). I have a feeling that this is not the case with Judy.

I had an aunt who passed away a couple months ago who was a hoarder.  It's taking my cousins soooo long to clean out the house because she squirreled money away everywhere so they have to go through everything really carefully before throwing it away.  Last I heard they'd found about $200 (plus about $150 worth of postage stamps) and they've only cleaned out, maybe, 5% of the house.  I'll be curious to see what the final total is.

  18. Liked that the Time Machine Room had in it both the DeLorean and the TARDIS.

I must have been laughing too hard at the DeLorean because I somehow missed the TARDIS.

I agree with the others who thought there wasn't enough of the three librarians/Jenkins.  Having them separated was really a waste--especially for a season finale.  I think I would have enjoyed it more if we saw more of them following Flynn's clue trails instead of Flynn's dopey audition for Shakespeare (although the bit about how smelly people were back then was pretty funny).  That being said, I'm still okay with Flynn but only if he's interacting with everyone.  I don't need him and Eve on their own little adventures sucking up screen time from the other three and Jenkins.  The writers did such a good job dealing with 5 main characters on Leverage they could do it here too if they really tried.

  19. Did anyone else appreciate that Stone's posse seemed to made up of nearly all college age women. Which would make sense if he was a cute, rugged, university professor who seemed to teach half of the courses at the university.

I would happily take on the crushing student loan debt to take all of his classes.  Repeatedly.

I generally like Flynn (and love Noah Wyle) but the Eve jealousy was getting on my nerves after the 20th "Why is she with him?".  Didn't Eve break up with Flynn the last time he was around?  Or did I imagine that?  If the writers could make the relationship less of a big deal (like Nate/Sophie or Parker/Hardison in Leverage) I think I'd be okay with Flynn being in the show full time.  But not if he's whining about Eve in every scene.
