Hold on just a minute there, how in the hell did Moll manage to sneak into a secret Trill ceremony, wouldn't all of the Trill guardians down there know each other? Have some form of security? Moll and her partner are just two random bounty hunter types, I'm worried that they're really going to have to make some huge leaps in logic to make them a real threat.

They’ve already made lots of bizarre leaps of logic.  For Moll to have found them they would have had to figure out the 5th clue.  Then they would have had to find them on Trill, figured out what they were doing and dressed appropriately, all while no one paid any attention.

Of course, only a handful of people (if they’re smart) on Discovery knows where the next clue is.  So what you do is tell Zora the location, wipe that part of your memory and lock away the two pieces you have in some technobabble quantum vault for umpteen years, until Moll gives up/is arrested/dies.

With two pieces of the puzzle secured, one of which is the only clue to the next location, you literally have all the time in the universe to proceed.  You don’t need this technology immediately to solve some crisis and its been safe for 800 years - its not going anywhere… and Moll literally cannot find it if you don’t look for it.

  2. It was strange there was no "Previously..." recap at the start of the season - or not that I saw - I had forgotten like half the plot threads.

Story line was OK, although I detest "higher up refuses to listen or even consider main character's story" plotlines.   Pablo's physique is still ridiculous.  In a good way.

What does the "nospoilers" tag mean?  We can't discuss what happened??

I presume it means we can't discuss the various plots of the video game series.

I tried to listen closely for an accent and didn't think she had a Russian one.

She had a vague upper Midwest accent, maybe Minnesotan.   They were living in Iowa, so she’s probably from the region.

  4. All I want to know is how Margo got away from her KGB handler and (most likely) hidden NSA or FBI monitor to meet up with Sergei…

I’m going to bet Kelly finds life on Mars, that seems like where her story is headed.

I laughed when they all acted like it was a huge deal to watch the number drop from 9 to 6.  Look around the room.  You know there are only three left.  You don't even need to use both hands for counting. 😆

Seriously!  There are clearly some things they've been instructed to play up for the cameras:  their "elimination" by dye pack, their "disappointment" / "frustration" when the staff enter to announce a new game, their "surprise" / "disbelief" when the number of players eliminated is shown/counted down, etc.

Did 287 lie about where she put her box?  Yes, I know that happened on this episode but I don't know names so going back to check won't help.

Yes, she lied.  She picked Roland, not Amanda as she said.   I wish 016 and 451 had noticed the total panic-pause she took trying to think up another name.

Also, now that Dox and Co. purged most of the branches, shouldn't the Time Loom be stable for now, until the Sacred Timeline starts branching again?

That's what I don't understand either; without He Who Remains, the Sacred Timeline is always going to be branching, everywhere, all at once.

Further, I thought S1 established that nexus events had to be reset before they went past the red-line, at which point they were no longer prune-able.   So, it's a bit unclear how they were able to prune 80% or whatever of the branches all of which had past the red-line.

And I'm not even sure I understand what the Time Loom is or does.  Time, as a force, would have existed before Kang and his Variants came into existence, and yet, He Who Remains built the Loom Chamber to do...what exactly?  Weave the fabric of Time only onto the Sacred Timeline?

I don't know if it was all in Ahsoka's head. If it was Jacen wouldn't hear it.

If it was in her head, Jacen would "hear" it by connecting to her emotions / mind.  However, that wouldn't explain how Hera could hear it - unless Jacen was acting as a conduit of sorts.

Is this the first time an MCU character has referred to The Blip as The Snap?

While I may be wrong, I always assumed The Snap referred to the moment when folks disappeared, whereas The Blip referred to the time they returned (and maybe the years in-between).   But, yeah, most folks would refer to the event as the Blip now, since it’s over.

  10. Why did the episode end on a shot of Juliette’s reaction to George’s file?  Did it show something that we were supposed to be surprised by because I didn’t notice anything.

How do they go from Jordan lying unconscious, green wound steaming on his chest, and the veins on his chest and neck black and distended to "Kryptonite doesn't affect him. He's totally fine!"?

I thought perhaps they said that because Jordan shook it off and healed himself relatively quickly.  Of course it still doesn’t jive with how Superman was dealing with three beams at once, and only a single blast knocked Jordan down.

There aren't malls like that in Boston...probably the Cambridgeside Galleria is the closest or maybe the Braintree Mall.  Boston has the Pru and the Corner Mall, but never are actually malls. But this isn't a documentary so I don't really care about that.

In my mind I assumed it was supposed to be the Galleria; the interior looked similar and its the closest mall to the North End (which is where I assume the QZ is mostly located).

  13. I'm not sure whether that's supposed to be Picard's son or someone else's.   Or whether he's some genetic experiment/clone type situation.   Bevery cut everyone out of her life 20 years ago, per Picard - but the actor playing her "son" is 35 years old.   So, either she's been hiding him almost as far back as her time on the Enterprise, or he's supposed to be younger than he appears, or he could have been adopted as a younger child/teen.

That said, in TNG season 2 Beverly was away from the Enterprise serving at Starfleet Medical, so that actually aligns with the actor's age... although no idea why she would keep him a secret from everyone.

Agree with you about the scenery. I live 10 miles west of Boston and Newton does not have mountains. 🤣

What... you've never hiked or camped in the Waltham Mountains?  😄

Hey, Connor, you know that you can incinerate zombies with heat vision, right?  No need to cut off their heads.  I really hate when shows hold back their strongest members for no good reason.  Also, when the character keeps a secret, like barfing up a supernatural snake when the team is being menaced by magic.

Both of those things drove me crazy.   Like, you were throwing up snakes dude - why is that something you would keep from your friends!?   I would be running around telling anyone who would listen, because that's horrific.

  16. Have they ever explained how the QL team remembers the original timeline once Ben changes the past?  Like the web pages about the girl’s death disappeared when she lived instead of died, but Ian still remembered what had happened originally.

  17. I’m still not sure why the Empire would need prison labor to build... something… when droids or simple machinery would do it non-stop with no productivity issues.  Although it would be something if the job of another floor was to disassemble the gizmo this floor put together, creating a never-ending pointless loop.

Did anyone else think Alicent may have poisoned that girl??

No, that was a “preventative” tea.  There would be no need to question her, comfort her and then pay her off if Alicent wanted her out of the way.  Alicent is keenly aware her son is awful, she said as much to him.

Rhaenyra wants to marry her Strong children to Daemon's daughters? Just what Westeros needs, more incest!

They are first cousins, once removed on the Targaryen side and are presumed to be first cousins on the Valeryon side… which seems pretty tame for this family.

I think I missed whose idea it was for Laenor and Qarl to nope on out of this insanity to live free in the Free Cities. Did they decide that or was Daemon just not willing to play co-husband?

They never went into detail about how the plan was set up, just that Daemon gave Qarl money for them to fake Laenor’s death and peace out.

I'm not understanding the genetics here. Alicent has dark hair, but all her kids have the Targaryen white blond hair? And Rhae has white blond hair, but all her kids have dark hair?

The genetics are interesting, but we did see an example of a dark haired Targaryen not that long ago…. so it happens.  And Targaryen genes cannot by hyper dominant or all those extra Targaryen princes and princesses over the years would have added a lot of white blond descendants throughout the various great houses of Westeros.
