I watched it last night. Very cute. Cristin Milioti is a treasure, I love her in everything I've seen her in. The dance in the bar was so funny, very Andy Samberg.

It ended and I was like what about Roy, I was so worried! lol. Then they fixed it during the credits but if the goat disappeared from the loop then shouldn't Sarah and Nyles be gone too? Things I probably shouldn't think so much about for a cute romcom.

I think the after credits scene suggested the whole Multi-verse theory. Sarah and Nyles got out, but their bodies stayed in Roy’s loop version.

  2. Quote

Palm Springs is a 2020 American science fiction romantic comedy film directed by Max Barbakow, in his directorial debut. It stars Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti, Peter Gallagher, and J. K. Simmons, and follows two strangers who meet at a Palm Springs wedding only to get stuck in a time loop.

Just streamed this on Hulu, and it’s definitely my favorite movie experience this year. Its  like if GroundHog Day and Happy Death Day had an adorable baby.

Both the leads were incredible and you actually rooted for both of them. If you have not seen it yet, just go into it blind.

  3. Even if it might delay them a little more, I am happy to see them take a big step back, look at the social/political/racial climate and try to put out the best product they can. Quality over quantity for me.

There was a preview clip (in the things to come) of Stephanie saying I haven't been this confident in a long time.  It didn't play in this preview.  I'm wondering if she may actually make it to the final 4.

Also, that F5 table was completely wrong.  So seems like we have no idea what's going to happen.

Either Stephanie is confident or it’s a red herring and she gets eliminated.

Maybe I'm just feeling anti-Kevin, so while it appears self-aware, it also seems self-serving. Did he write it because like so many of us, he feels angry and frustrated and as if he is helpless to create real change in the world? Or did he write it because he talked up "plantation" food and knows he could be in for a backlash for his restaurant?

I don't know. And maybe the purity of the sentiment behind what he wrote doesn't matter all that much as long as he puts it into action.

I can usually tell when it’s a PR or not, but this seems actually genuine and I, glad he is recognizing his shortcomings. He’s not a bad guy, and compared to statements from others who’ve been caught with ignorant comments, I can see that he actually seems sorry.

    But, that’s just me.

Gregory volunteered.  I found Kevin smug in this episode.  Of course none of chefs wanted him back.  It’s another person they have to complete against.  Stephanie was the most honest about it.

Yeah, but going through LCK and beating 2 of the 3 chefs still left in, I would be smug too, 🤷‍♀️ but that’s just me.

  7. How I kind of want Season 3 to go:

    - More bonding between Chen/Harper/Lopez, especially Lopez/Chen. I would love to see them work together, since Lopez is the only TO she has never worked with.

    - More after work scenes between the T.O’s. We know Lopez and Tim are best friends, but let’s see Bradford/Harper try and become friends more.

    - Lopez and Wesley going through wedding planning and the struggles of being an officer and a lawyer.

    - More Jackson/Lucy scenes

    -Cojo the dog.

-If/When they decide to go the Bradford/Chen route, which they totally will, let them connect as friends first, then build that up throughout the season and possibly pull the trigger in Season 4. Eric has even said he wants the two as a slow burn( watch them fumble p, make mistakes throughout, and then get to their Ross/Rachel moment as he described it)

    - More of Grey outside of work, or just more Grey in general.

Nolan AND Bradford join the NYPD as the oldest rookies in history...

Yeah, Bradford was already on the fence about possibly going to NY and when Grey told him that, it was over. Bradford legitimately cares for Rachel, especially since she is complete opposite of Isabel, but you know this long distance stuff is ripe for future drama and a break up. I mean, he was ready to “rip the bandaid” off and break it off. But, he is a nice guy, so try and make it work, I guess.

Please, don’t pair off Lopez and Nolan because Nolan wants to fast track to detective (even though you know they’ll find a way to get him there by seas. 3 finale).

What do you mean by the “high perch he sits on”? Nolan is like the least egoistic character on the show.

Let me reword it...the writers present Nolan as this a White Knight hero. He’s able to solve everything and be the Big hero every episode.

  10. I will say, I did like the opening in Armstrongs point of view, at least that felt different.

is it bad that I was rooting for Armstrong to get away with it? We know whenever they get into Season 3, that Nolan will be fine after the first couple episodes. It’s not a cliffhanger and not shocking anymore.

Look, as cute as Tim was wanting to try and make a long distance relationship work, the fact that he vocalized he didn’t want to visit NY, says volumes. It’s obvious, they are going to try for a lil bit next season, but ultimately the bandaid he applied to a giant ass hole In The relationship will only be ripped off and they’ll break up. (Ultimately, I think it’s all a setup for Chen/Bradford possibly at the end of Season 3 into Season 4)

  11. I did like the episode overall.

    - Harper continues to move up the ranks of my favorite characters. Just like Bradford, I’m glad they added layers and humanized her. Plus, her getting her daughter back made me so happy.

    - Lopez is just a BAMF. And, I definitely see them going with Lopez/Detective story into season 3. Maybe work more with Rita Calhoun or the Detective that lost his partner from season 1.

    - I get from a spectator perspective that Tim was being mean to Lucy, but just step back Emmitt. Like Lucy said, she doesn’t need saving. I do feel like Emmitt and Rachel are just temporary interests  while they most likely build towards Chen and Bradford.

    - I hope the Armstrong ordeal is more then just being a dirty cop.

A Munchausen By Proxy diagnosis in all of 30 seconds by someone with absolutely zero qualifications. What could possibly go wrong?

    "You did that for me?"
"No, dumbass. I did it for the kid/mom you screwed over!"

Nolan is very picky. He wasn't satisfied with Sarah Shahi, and now Ali Larter goes by the board. I wonder who next?

😆  Bradford would never..but yeah, good job almost destroying your dream job before you even set into NY.

It was interesting when Grey was talking to Bradford how he was basically going to be starting over:  new city, basically living together, no social network, going through the academy again; and telling Tim if Rachel is the one, it essentially will be worth it.

  13. I already see how it will be: Rachel will most likely break up with Tim, especially after Lucy said that Tim basically bled LA and he would be miserable having to start over and be away from everyone. Plus, what got me was bout Tim and Rachel asking Lucy about the other cause they really didn’t know each other that well like Lucy knows them both.

I do like Rachel as a character, but you can definitely tell she was only temporary. Plus, would they actually have gotten together at all if Lucy never set them up? 🤔

Grace/Nolan: Thank you god. Even though Grace’s excuse was a pile of bullshit, I’m still happy.

So happy that Angela didn’t let that comment stop her from being the Badass she really is.
