  1. I had to stop following a few weeks ago because I was getting too invested in Taylor's fate. I'm so happy she won!

ETA and she AFP? Whoo hoo!

Exactly what I said to one of my cousins who watches the show. Just admit to it, and be done. To me, this is excessive drama over something that isn't the biggest deal in the world.

Thank you. That whole scene was much ado about nothing. One person confronts her on camera AND gives her several outs by suggesting it was her employees, and Lisa V. decided THAT was a bridge too far.

What I found even more interesting was that Lisa V. went to the producers later and tried to force them to get the other ladies to believe her. That confirmed everything I ever thought about Lisa V.

  3. I couldn't get behind the Gizelle dating Jamal for a storyline thing because it didn't make sense. It didn't make her look good, and made her look worse for taking back such a cheater.

Monique's text actually made me more sure than ever. Those texts sounded like something a guy would say to his side girlfriend to keep her on the hook. Or maybe Gizelle is the side girlfriend. All I know is, she and likely numerous other women have been played once again by Jamal.

  4. The whole time Michael met with his sister, I was waiting for her to throw in a line about "Yeah, dealing with the funeral planning is stressful, etc.", and it never came. Did she mention the death before and I just missed it? If not, I believe Unc is either sitting at home laughing at his dumb nephew, actually died 10 years ago, or doesn't exist.

  5. I was actually a little worried about a second season. These kind of shows tend to go off the rails during that period, but I have been happily surprised through episode 8. It is more controlled chaos. I like how they deepened the relationship between Cora Lee/Bob B. and Bob A/Patty's mom. Many showrunners forget that characters need to be likeable to accept the crazy.

Meh. Unless Brigitte Nielsen is asking the questions and it is to win Flavor Flav's heart I'm not interested.

Can LVP find ANYONE besides Sessa to film with? I know Blizzard was  busy sabotaging Erika's sound system, but there must be someone else around.

Tom was awe struck. Awe struck that he has wasted all that money.

And Teddi got a haircut. Hi I'm Teddi's haircut.

Pour one out for the classic VH1 trashy reality shows...

I gave myself a headache from rolling my eyes so hard at the lie detector thing. Really?

Bravo, Teddi! (See what I did there? ha-ha)

Well said - keep talking Teddi - “big mouth” truthtellers rock, in more ways than one!

After LVP raised her to always put Lisa first - poor kid. A normal mother would have refused to wear it and insisted the day was about her daughter.

I'm fairly indifferent to Teddi, but I do agree 100% with her blog this week. I don't care at all about the whole Kyle/Lisa blowup. If Lisa wants to stay mad, let her. I still enjoyed the show this week.

Again, this feels a bit like shifting the goalposts. I certainly have never made the claim that she is the only manipulative one on this show. Brandi, Kim, and Yolanda also had pretty manipulative personalities. Of the current cast, she does strike me as being the most consciously manipulative, though I do think that Dorit is, as well.

The rest of the cast has other negative traits but for instance, I think people know where they stand with Rinna, Erika, and Teddi. Rinna is a loud-mouth people pleaser and Erika is cold but I don't think that they pretend to be okay with people when they aren't.

That's what came to mind when Camille made that confession that it was Lisa who prodded her to talk about Taylor's abuse issues on camera. Yes, Camille is the one who ultimately decided to do that, as all the other women did who make similar claims about Lisa V. But it was yet another big honking red flag about Lisa's different personas on and off camera. What is curious about this week is that so many seem aghast that anyone could think Lisa would do this, when the defenses after the Camille reveal was essentially "So what? The others should have been smarter like Lisa." Which, true, but I don't see how it's so shocking that the cast believes it and that poor Lisa is a victim who would never consider doing such a thing. And that's why I'm ultimately pretty indifferent. There will never be any proof, just like there was never any proof about Adrienne's accusation, but I think she's fully capable of at least getting someone else to do it for her so she can actually not be lying by saying she herself didn't do it.

  9. My take on the Kyle/ Lisa argument was that it was a continuation of one they'd previously had, based on Kyle's reference to previous texts.  Therefore, Kyle is referencing things discussed before, while camera-ready Lisa knew just how to respond.

I actually thought Lusa handled the Dorit thing ok up until she inferred-but didn't say outright, oh no-that Teddi would likely be spreading gossip about her. 90% of what Dorit says is bullshit, but for once I think she picked up exactly what Lisa wanted her to.

Deborah Ann Woll said that Karen was 19 in the flashback and that she’s now 33, the same age as her. So it would be around 2004.

That makes sense with the Petey Pablo playing in the opening party scene. I was pretty sick of Karen by the end of the second season, but this season has done a lot of good things with her character.

i'm starting to dislike every sketch she is in. i don't know what it is, overexposure, too much whoring for the camera?

I think they're relatively restrained in their use of her, compared to the way they used to insert Kristen Wiig in every single sketch. The problem to me is that her male character imitations are her weakest and tend to blend together, and they've been having her do more of those.
