I watched it today. It’s a really strong episode and I still don’t understand why it was ‘controversial’. It ends on a message of hope which made me tear up because the issues addressed in the episode have not gotten better over the last two years.

I am a 61 year old Nurse Unit Manager of an Older Persons Mental Health unit in Australia. We advocate for person centered health care and my staff come from everywhere in the world. I was last in the USA in December 2008 and the hope and joy was palpable. This episode made me sad  , Black lives matter as do First Nation people.

I think she may have called Nurse Jackie to fill the prescription. She has Eddie's pass-code to the pill dispenser.  😀

The cancer patient took the pills and checked out of the hospital so she wouldn’t be killing herself on the premises. Still, Sharpe should have put the meds in an unmarked bottle.

A doctor can prescribe pain relief for a terminal cancer patient but it is up to them how many she takes. Bloom would have provided a prescription but she is "not responsible" for how the patient uses them

Have you watched Drag Queens of London?

Slightly off topic, but I remember watching a low budget drag competition show in Australia. It took place in a house and the two hosts always walked the eliminated queen out to the driveway at the end of each episode. Does anyone remember what the show was called?

Could it have been "I will survive" a 2012 show about finding performers for Priscilla Queen of The Desert stage show?

This episode has to be the new "jump the shark" episode of recent times.  SOOO ridiculous.

Max is getting more and more annoying each moment. "I can't choose. I won't choose."  More head tilts, more puppy-dog eyes …

Hurray for Helen saying that she will then make the decisions. I loved her calling him out on his shenanigans.  On a shallow note, she was rocking her scarf and coat.

I saw this too. There is no way. Bad job, costume person.

The mother said she was discharged as her insurance didn't cover a longer stay

She should have said that in Australia, graduation IS in the fall.

Australia's school year is late January to early December so most graduations from high school are in summer. University graduations are dependent on semesters. I graduated in March but there are later graduations

I didn’t care for the way Paul’s story ended, either. Also, am I really expected to believe that Paul would haul off the rails in front of THE Meredith Grey? Isn’t he supposed to be a general surgeon as well? For someone who seems really concerned about his career, he sure doesn’t mind showing his a** in front of one of the most prestigious surgeons in the country right now.

I really don’t like how everyone on this show still treats Kepner like an incompetent fool. She is written to be a good trauma surgeon, but everyone still acts like she’s an idiot. It’s annoying.

I cried at the end when Bailey and Ben had that talk with Tuck. That was the most powerful part of this episode IMO. The kid who played Tuck really did a great job in that scene, too.

My ex started yelling at me in court in front of a judge. When they lose control of you they can't help themselves.

no real description of what they do except “make your dreams come true”.....?

Rhonda should go back to web design school. One link takes you to a broken link spelt thialand.com. There is a man who will give you a " physic experience ". For millionares Chris and Nikki went super cheap on the web design!

Did anyone else notice the nurse in Meredith's OR is the same scrub nurse who has been there forever?  For such a long running character, even a minor one, they should give her a tiny bit of a story.

Glasses the intern isn't as dumb as he looks, he told Meredith before she started surgery that the tech gadgets were susceptible.....but she chose to go ahead.  Oops.  Of all of the new interns, I like Glasses the best so far.

    Her name is Bokhee

  10. If Sr MC had deep depression or even psychotic depression ECT will help. I am a MH Nurse and we have at least 4 pts a week having ECT. It is done under aanesthesia in a theatre. Results are excellent in most cases.

I don't think she packed adult diapers, and here's why: there is no way an adult diaper company produces diapers in that size. Or that they'd then come in such a small package, unless that holds only one diaper.

I think the blue package contained baby wipes as Erica said she didn't know if she could fit in a hotel shower. As a nurse I have only seen incontinence aids in xl which struggle to fit 120kg (250lb or so) person.

thank you maya1959! I know that the name was one of the most popular in the late 50's and early 60's but it seems really interesting that this season has had so many this early. I find it especially noticeable since that is my name. This week's Linda seemed to be especially wacky and seemed to expect to be able to use the Hoarders crew to organize her mess as opposed to cleaning it up. It kind of reminded me of Randy and his vintage arcade collection years ago.

I am a child of the late 50's and was named Karen. I had best friends called Linda, Debbie and Susan. The most popular names of the era !

Has there been someone named "Linda" on everyone of the episodes so far this season? I'm too lazy to go back and count but it sure seems like it.

    Just checked . There is a Linda in episodes 1 , 3, 4.

My son with multiple disabilities is not able to do buttons or zippers. Though he is cooperative, I actually do have to dress him. And it's difficult for ME, while facing him , to button buttons or do pants with zippers. Things are worse when he can't stay still. It took several years , and severest gentle "hints" to get family and friends to buy easy pullover shirts and sweat-type pants. My ex husband was the worst! (His dad) he'd buy the "stylish" button/zipper pants and jeans that HE would wear...then wonder why our son never wore them.

I had a patient who   loved button up shirts but could barely bend  their arms to get  in the sleeves. Problem solved by splitting the shirt up the back, using velcro and front already buttoned.
