I'm confused as to why this is the second episode, but my TV claimed it was the fourth one.

I have Xfinity, and it also said this was Episode 4. Episode 3 (Mt. Shasta) aired on Paramount Plus.

According to Xfinity scheduled programs, Episide 2: Springland will air on 2/25, and Episode 3: Mt. Shasta will air on 3/3.

I don't know about December, but it seems like there are only 4 episodes showing in November - at least when I checked for upcoming season 6 episodes after the 4th one, "Aftermath," the message I get is "There are no upcoming airings available at this time."

After the fourth episode, there was a preview for the rest of the season six episodes. At the end of the preview, it said they would drop on December 14.

Same with Billy!  He looks sooooo old in the 70's that I'm having a hard time suspending disbelief.  It's like an old, weathered, Dad running around with a bunch of kids.  It's distracting.

Billy (Sam) reminds me of Rick Springfield, who looked older to me even when he was a young man.

It was not congenital-and he even spoke to the fact that modern science has produced medicines that reduce suffering, but his child ends up grossly deformed by the one harmful one that was pushed to market. Everyone is carrying around a lot of guilt over that, including the doctor.

DEFINITION FOR CONGENITAL (1 OF 1)

    adjective

of or relating to a condition present at birth, whether inherited or caused by the environment, especially the uterine environment.

Based upon the dictionary definition, I don't think my phrasing is incorrect. Yes, Susan’s defect has a pharmaceutical origin.

  5. Jack is losing his appeal for me. Instead of the rugged ex-marine of the books, we get unkempt mountain man. :(

Preacher is as handsome as ever.

Mel seems more mellow and confident. I like her this way.

  6. I cannot stand Hope. The way she treats Doc makes me wonder why he's so devoted to her. I understand she's having issues due to her accident, but I find her just as annoying and ridiculous in season four as I did in season one.

I loved what they did with the patio bar at Coaches Corner, but I'm not terribly tall and I might not be able to see the view over that wide horizontal bar just below the windows that open. Maybe the tall bar chairs are actually taller than I realize 😊

    I had the same thought!

I personally hope the twins powers aren't tied to one another since they are fraternal twins after all.

I agree. I'd like to see each of the them manifest powers independent of the other.

I watched some of season 1 of Jamestown, and although I thought Stuart Martin was cute, the level of attractiveness was nothing like it is here. Holy heck, William is FINE. He can pull off a beard, which many men can't, and his Scottish accent is swoon worthy. Someone pass the smelling salts.

I cannot love this post enough.

Noticed right after Christmas, H & I dropped NYPD Blue from the schedule, 😠

I wrote to the network to voice my objection, and this is the reply I received:

Thank you for contacting Heroes & Icons. Thank you for your support of NYPD Blue.  Our contract expired for the series, and while the series was one of quality, the ratings were never as good as we needed them to be to support the substantial license fee that the producers and distributors required us to pay. Perhaps in the future we can bring it back to the Network.

Thank you again for watching Heroes & Icons and for contacting us with your thoughts.

I did not read the books but read an article about the changes. Apparently Issac didn't exist, the car crash at the end of the season didn't happen, Ryan didn't exist, the Eric/Helena ship went faster, the school board threatened to fire Cal over his romance with Maddie, Kyle wasn't friends with Noreen at all nor was he into Annie or felt ignored by his family, and Annie had an eating disorder that landed her in the hospital due to cardiac issues. (Bulimia? That tends to wreck havoc on your heart.) Her relationship with Ty developed as a result of him coming to the hospital and caring for her. There was also a single mom sous chef named Karen. She might still come into play?

That sounds like a better plot than what we've seen onscreen so far. I know teens are dramatic, but the changes they made are not working for me.

I don't think the point was to be a "reveal". I think the point was Randall was being super self-absorbed and defensive in the first appointment, and just swirling with himself and all the stuff he was pointing out about the office. Whereas once they showed her face, he was actually looking at her and treating her like a human. THAT SAID I think it was a stupid directorial choice that didn't really land and I only came to the conclusion I did because it's the only thing that remotely makes any sense. (Unless she later turns out to be "the mother" but really at this point hiding the therapists face and then revealing it is just melodramatic.)

If any of you here watched Thirtysomething, the same technique was used when Nancy and Elliot went to therapy. We saw the two of them through the therapist's eyes in a few episodes. Since Ken Olin is an executive producer, I wasn't surprised to see it used here on TIU.

Am I the only one on this forum in their 50s? Definitely have friends completely grey (I've lucked out with only a few white strands, but I'm definitely the exception.)

No, you're not. I'm 53 and sporting a head of salt-and-pepper hair, as are most of my friends who have chosen to go with their natural hair color. 🙂
