I'm bitter that Kate still doesn't know that she slept with Curtis 2.0 (Clyde). I'm bitter that Chad has been named the baby's father even though it's not mathematically possible. I'm bitter that Ava is back just when Steve and Kayla found their way back together.

One thing that I hope really happens is Nicole gets her miracle baby. If Theresa and Abifail can have one, why can't she? The downside of this would be Super Dan being the father of course. I'd be willing to try and overlook it though.

Great thread idea.
...since we just got this from both Ben and in a way JJ, I'm burned out on the inherited violent tendencies concept. Plus, its malarkey in real world terms. But I do think far down the line Chase could explore this and lord knows he needs some resolution regarding his now immensely complicated past.
Eric being gay in the 90s? Hmmm. What was shown on-screen to make you think they were setting that up?
I'm still irked that the show bumped off Aiden, so I'll forever wonder how it would have been for Aiden to know he's filling in for the deceased Bo if Hope came back to him after Bo's return and death. Would they be able to work? Would Aiden have understood why she needed more time with Bo? I would like to think so. Plus having Aiden and Justin face off in court as opposing counsel would have been really exciting if done well...
I get that Aiden was always a bit grey as a character, but he had such long-term potential, as did young Aiden and Ciara as siblings.
Good points about Chase. I would like to see him in a interesting story other than hinting to him bullying Theo.
As for Eric, I always liked the character. I saw him as the "Anti Sami". While I saw nothing pointing toward him being gay, I think it could have been an interesting storyline at the time when Jensen first came on.
In the case of Aiden, I wholeheartedly agree. Lots of wasted potential there.
In a WAY back moment, I wanted to see more of Jack and Steve. We had that joke of a return in 2006, but I mean a REAL reunion. Going back to 1990, at the time of Steve's "death" Jack and Steve were finally on good terms. I have often thought about missed conversations that could've been. Now, with the PI business between John and Steve, I could see Jack's sleuth reporter skills being helpful and maybe joining the two of them.

Omg! I'm glad I had not just taken a drink of water when Jenn asked Abby "how". Is she that blind??? Oh how I wish that Jack was alive so that Abby and JJ would have a parent with a functioning brain. Maybe Jack could help Jennifer locate her's. An APB needs issued for Jenn's brain! Abby had to tell Jenn that she......wait for it......CHEATED on Ben. Yes, she actually admitted it. Well, I guess she had to considering that the Dr told her right in front of Jenn that Ben wasn't the baby's father ((((eye roll)))).
And another one goes under the bus. Eric drunk driving! Well, at least GV might get some decent material for a while. It's not like he couldn't have before now if the writers would have bothered. SMH

Today just confirms my earlier speculation that Joey has inherited the Brady "I'm too stupid to live in a land with people in possession than more than one brain cell" Black award. Joey needs to fall hard and fall fast as the last three Salem kids who were that oblivious about the world they live in and the people around them and were that self-deluded were: Brady, Belle and Abigail, and as the comments on this board have demonstrated, no good came from that. It's bad enough I have to see Jack and the formerly awesome Jennifer's daughter be a walking, talking embodiment of a nightmare, I can't stand the sequel starring Steve and Kayla's son.

So glad to see yet another legacy character sacrificed at the alter of the Taniel clan. Never really been a fan of GV , but as the case with GW as Will, if you don't think the character is working, recast, don't destroy the character. If however, a Brady had to be sacrificed, couldn't it have been JT's mumble-mouthed, plastic-faced, fauxman.
Any bets on how long will it be before a statue is erected in Salem Square in honor of Saint Taniel -- naturally the statue will be bronze.
I guess Taniel's demise will usher in his horrid daughter, cause he's so special, unlike Bo, who no one managed to return for, heck, Theresa who actually lives in Salem couldn't be bothered to attend her uncle's funeral, but all the world will stop their lives to bow down before the tan one.

Wow. Didn't see that one coming. Both Brady and Eric needing a transplant. The situation is a mess but I'm sure we are gonna see some great performances :)
I vomited while reading the trash about Chabifail.
How the hell the Victor find a way to blame Theresa for the accident? Shut up, asshole.

Theresa hyperventilating was hilarious.
Anne was her usual self.....love it!
Belle is just behind repulsive right now. She cheats on her husband.....again, gets upset because he wants a divorce, and treats her daughter like she doesn't have the right to be upset at all and just walks away from her. To top it all off, she attends the show with her ex and leaves with Chad!
Kate needs to take a seat and shut her money grubbing mouth!

I wouldn't mind if Daniel Cosgrove (Aiden) comes back for flashback scenes how he knew the Dimeras to fill in the gaps into his copycat attempt to kill Hope. I still felt the both writing regimes still did a piss poor job not to fill in enough gaps with the Aiden character into his past and why he was in Salem ultimately.
Another story that needs to be explored is Chase and if he really did kill his mom. I'd love it if he hears a gun shot goes off and he immediately has flashbacks accidentally killing his mother. The boy who's playing teen Chase could definitely convey a later of emotions and it would probably give him a solid performance, maybe Emmy worthy. Plus Hope did take Chase's baby clothes and deposed the evidence to help Aiden and to protect Chase.
Oh yes yes yes. This should be done. As it stands right now, everybody is just thinking that Aiden went psycho and tried to kill Hope. Major loose end!
As for Chase, the storyline about his mother needs to be brought out. Right now, the only one who knows is Hope. The gunshot trigger sounds great. He could go dark and even think that he shot his mom because he was a killer like his father.

Maybe maybe not. But this is a soap opera. If I wrote it, both them had children by different people to start as a means of bad karma they would had found a way to work it out together. Patrick still could had been locked up, doing time and Bope still could had raised Ciara as their own. It would had made Bo like the Shawn Brady, Hope be Caroline and Patrick been Victor of sorts.
This is what I was hoping for with baby Thomas. It's been done before with Shawn, Caroline, Bo, and Victor. In that case the truth didn't come out until Bo was grown. With Thomas it could have been told right from the start.

The fallout of Kate finding out that Clyde raped Jordan after bringing him to town could have been a good one. Imagine her knowing that she had been sleeping with Curtis 2.0!

Having Ben been the father would had made for better storytelling. Sami has paternal twins for crying out loud by two men! It was good story even if the rapid fans of Lumi and EJami still go cray nuts over it.
It would had made Abigail realize she shouldn't be sexing up every guy she meets and gave her a layer of guilt whenever she got with Chad finally.
I don't know why these asshats refuse to do good soap storytelling. Then they wonder why these ratings are in the toilet.

Exactly! So many possibilities missed with this one. Abby coming to terms with the fact that perhaps Chad or any other man may not want the responsibility of raising another man's child, having Chad slowly accept the baby and struggling with the fact that he'd be raising the son of the man who tried to kill him twice, Abby struggling to deal with the fallout and long term effects of raising the son of the man who kidnapped her and tried to kill her. Therapy sessions could have been shown between Abby and Chad.....and later with Thomas. Imagine a soarased Thomas dealing with the fact that his biological father was a murderer. A lot of drama there.

Only Days the writers/producers can fuck up a timeline to appease rapid fanbase for the money couple. I remembered at least twice that happened with Bope (Zack and Ciara). Hope should had at least had one of them children not be Bo's. But because Bope fans didnt want to see Hope go down that road, I think it was Reilly, let Ciara be Bo's instead of Patrick. And don't even get me started on the mime sex RoboBo had with brainwashed Gina/Hope to confirm he was the definitely the daddy of Zack. Total bullshit.
So I'm in no bit shocked Abifail and Chad have a kid together via a fucked timeline.
Oh yes, the infamous mime sex. I've gotta say that one is worse in terms of over-the-top than the current baby issue. Sorasing is one thing for elementary age children like what was currently done with Ciara, Chase, Theo, and Joey but soarasing from the womb is a little out there. It is what it is :)

True. It's just that these things are so outlandish sometimes. It would have been better to have made Chad the father later while everything isn't so fresh in the viewer's minds. This isn't the first time or the last time that this will happen in a soap. Ciara should be Patrick Lockhart's by logic. I just think it would have been more dynamic to have let Ben stay the father in this case especially with RoboChad's little speech about the baby being another man's etc.

How is it a retcon when the baby was always shown to be Chad's on screen through the storyline? The viewers always knew the baby was Chad's, the voice over of Daniel's today talking about Thomas's father while we saw Chad wasn't a shocker. It was just Abby/Chad that had to be clued in, not the viewers.
The pregnancy was quickly brought up and a DNA test was ordered quickly because Abby was experiencing symptoms at that time. Clyde was shown telling the lab tech that Ben was the father no matter what in no certain terms. Meanwhile, the viewers at no time were shown that Chad was absolutely the baby's father. The viewers were never shown the true paternity results.
Now we come to the birth. When Abby was in the cabin and had the baby, a scene was shown with JJ and Roman at the police station. During their conversation it was told that Abby wasn't due until January. She gave birth in November. Take away the premature birth and count back 9 months and it gives you Abby getting pregnant in April. She didn't have sex with Chad until the end of May - 1st part of June. That makes Ben the actual father. Making Chad the father is a retcon of the conception timeframe. With Chad being the father, Abby would have only been 5-5 1/2 months pregnant at the time of birth. That baby would have had extremely underdeveloped lungs etc.

I dislike the Abigail character as much as a lot of others do, but I agree not EVERYTHING she does is bad. But that doesn't mean I want to see her onscreen most every day. I wish they would backburner the character for a while, because even

Daniel isn't quite as annoying now that he's been off screen for a while.
This could work. Maybe during her off time, the writers can come up with a way to buildup her character. Like a transformation. Take her from being clingy to Chad to being more independent and willing to be a single mother. Have her show more general emotion for her child. Let her admit her mistakes, ask for forgiveness, and actually try to make amends without being coddled. I never thought I would dislike the character of Abby seeing as how she is the first born of one of my favorite couples. I really wish that I could like her. Unless a situation like I have suggested above happens, I just don't see how I ever can.

OK, rather than talk about how horrible KM is "acting" as a "mother," I just have to say I loved the very few Steve and Kayla scenes today. Steve DVR'ing the game and not wanting to go the party in case someone talked about it. Then Kayla sitting on the couch watching the game while Steve was getting ready, made me laugh because things like that is what really happens. Personally I wish KM would be relegated to 5-10 minutes of scenes a couple of times a week and we could get 30 minutes of Steve and Kayla scenes three or four times a week.
I would be all over this. They have always been my favorite couple. We can watch the crime, backstabbing, manipulations, over-the-top plots and so on, plus have a little reality too. It keeps things in balance.

And so it begins. The 5 month retconned story of Thomas' paternity. ((((Eye roll)))) A baby is sick, better start genetic testing. Get real!
At least Jennifer can show emotion for her sick grandson. The poor child's incubator (calling her a mother doesn't just feel right) couldn't muster up any emotion. It seemed as if the baby being sick was more of a nuisance than a worrisome situation.
Kudos to Nicole for screwing Kate the way that Kate screwed Theresa. Karma! Now, let's see if Theresa can deliver and shut Kate's ex pedophile screwing ass up.
Oh poor Belle. She's SO devastated because her husband filed for divorce after she cheated on him AGAIN that she has to flirt with other men. Oh the horror! Belle is another one in the "Princess Entitlement Club". I'm sure she's met president Deveraux.
Way to go Claire. Tell your mother how it is! Somebody needed to.
Whatever Phillip.....whatever. Every time I see this guy I keep having visions of scissors.
Belle has always been entitled and childish but I don't remember her being like this. She's so unappealing. She and Abby are probably going to become friends. Why didn't Victor call Belle a whore for cheating on Shawn again and call Phillip a whore for messing with a married woman?
Good question. I guess Victor's memory is selective. Maybe he should start taking Caroline's miracle drug.

I don't see a problem with helping Sami get away with jacking the Dimeria money. For once Marena is being a good parent. She should encourage Sami to take ALL of the Dimera assets and property and neutralize Stefano and Andre permanently. Maybe give her a couple of vials of the drugs she used to put Stefano into a coma back in 2008.
This would be sweet! I like Andre and Stefano sweating Sami. It's about time that somebody finally gets the upper hand on the Dimeras. I just wish that it wasn't done offscreen by AS.

Would so look forward to the day that Chad cheats on the princess, but how could he ever do that since he only has scenes with her.
This is the problem with pigeonholing a character. He could stay with Belle or (although they have a kinda bad history) there is Gabi. In fact, the Gabi angle could be interesting given their history and she is kinda dating Abby's brother.
