  1. Please tell me how Kelsey is being edited badly? I have not seen that at all.

Also, though I do agree that Kelli has been hard on Kelsey this year, it seemed she dialed it back this episode. She admitted that Kelsey was one of the best in the fashion show. And she seemed fine with her in her office visit this time overall. I don't know, I must be watching a different show than ya'll.

I remember last season when Kelli told Madeline that she would be front and center in a hip hop routine. I can see that. Definitely her strong suit. I'm so glad to see her doing so awesome this year! It's like a completely different Madeline this year!

The whole interaction between Kelli and Melissa on the phone was so obviously fake it was painful.

Melissa is a hot mess.  I have two little kids too so I give her a mom pass, but don't come on tv looking like you just rolled out of bed and put some red lipstick on.

Kelli says the same thing at the salon year after year.  "We just dig through their hair and etc. etc.".

Jackie and Bethenny are so blah.  Please cut them now to put us and them out of their misery.

I thought the scene between Kelli and Judy was great when Whitney left the office.  You can tell the two women are like sisters at this point.

Michelle Keys is hot.  Love her.

Jenn K looks a lot bigger.  Sorry, but she is definitely not small.

I can't like Cersten after multiple reliable sources has said she is a mean girl.  I just can't with mean girls.

What show were you watching? Did you not see her hair and makeup done and dressed decently?

  3. Clearly Melissa R has listened to the past criticism about her look for TV and amped it up with look more put together and wearing makeup now. I like her look this year more than the plumped up lips she had last year. Overall though, I don't know why she seems so universally disliked on this board. I agree that as a showmanship mentor, she knows what she's doing. She's not here to be a technique coach, that's what they have Kitty for. She does know how to sell it and that showed on her Dancing With The Stars stints.

  4. Is it true what I heard I think at some point last year that Holly P accidentally sent a text to the squad members that was meant for her mom where she was bitching about some of the girls and became kind of the hated girl after that?

Good for Caila!  I hope she makes the Mavs! It's cool that she is sticking with her dreams of dancing!

Is there anything to the "partying" concern other than the one picture of her outside of a bar? I really do not think that one picture would get her cut and I don't think it's fair to assume she is a party girl based on one photo.

    Caila got cut?

  6. I think it's ridiculous how Judy always expects the rookies to have the field entrance practically perfect the first time. They wait so long to teach it and then she acts panicked cause their first game is always "right around the corner and they need to have it perfect".

  7. Kelli certainly did not like having the tables turned on her, but she herself said it would have been the same result. Regardless though, Megan B is just painfully awkward. The more she tried to act normal, the worse she looked.

  8. And no Rose is not pretty. Those eyebrows have been horrendously distracting since her panel interview, though it seems they fixed at least that in the makeovers. She still is not DCC pretty....not even close.

  9. What is their obsession this year with constantly mentioning that they can have no more than 36 on the team. I thought they had 37 lockers! And didn't they even take 39 a couple years in a row?

  10. I hate to see any woman w/ a "good job" quit it for DCC. It like is reversing feminism 50 years or something like that :). I guess if it was a job w/ varying hours that conflicted w/ TC and games, you'd have to choose, but they practice in the evenings and cheer on weekends right? And the girl would know going in that this is the schedule, right?

I also still stand by my feelings that if these girls were strong dancers they would not need to practice so much during the day that working a 9-5 job would be an issue. My 12 year old daughter has danced on studio competition teams for years and she can remember choreography w/ very little to no outside of class practices (they are in school when not at dance just like these TCC's would be at work) - and as far as I know her whole team is this way - like my daughter is not some special photographic memory of choreo kid, being able to do this is just a part of being a "good dancer". Her and her dance friends can even hear the songs from dances they were in years ago and start dancing them in synch w/ very few mistakes out of nowhere. Kids who forget combos and can't pick up new choreo easily usually don't "make" dance teams even as young as 8-9 years old around me, and I would imagine the DCC would be a lot stricter than pre-teen dance teams?

Maybe it's harsh, but I think a TCC who needed to practice all day just to remember a combo taught the night before should be cut. They also should be able to fully "perform" to the choreo by the 3rd or 4th time doing a newly taught dance if they are any good. Seems like Meagan from SD is the only one that is at this level in the girls they showed in this episode, which is unfortunate. Lol - do I sound like Abby Lee Miller or something?

I think a lot of it has to with learning an ENTIRE routine and new one every single night. That's a lot for any dancer to remember. Even Kelli has said as much on the show. However, I do agree with your overall point because they have let some ladies onto the team that can never seem to remember any of the dances at all because they liked their look (i.e. Emily Claire and Morgan Whitney) which was insane and completely ridiculous.

  11. Honestly, Melissa is fine as a mentor. I think she's far more relatable to these girls than say one of the superstars they've had before who could do no wrong and was probably never called into the office. She can relate to them and make them feel more comfortable because she's been that insecure girl who wasn't a shoo in and perfect from the get go. I would much rather have someone like her mentoring me than someone who can't relate to being less than perfect.

I also think there's a bit of copycat complex going on this year. They see last year's Courtney quit her job and look, she made the team! Now all these other girls want to quit too so they can make it. They also know that the more you cry, the more camera time you're likely to get, so why not turn on the water works!

I am not a Rose fan, but when I rewatched it and Kelli was critiquing her in front of everyone, Kelli did say to Rose that she was pretty before telling her that her dancing was not good, so that may be why Rose said she didn't want to make on just being pretty. Otherwise everything else about her I do not like.

  12. I agree that Jennifer K is an excellent dance teacher in that she is personable making the girls comfortable and detailed in explaining exactly how to be more fluid with the dance steps instead of just saying you're too sharp.
