    Weed whackers are cool!

I can't imagine mowing a whole yard with a weed whacker. It would take forever. Unless your weed whackers are different than ours. In one pass you get about 8" inches of cut with a weed whacker vs 20" to 24" with a typical push mower.

Yeah that’s the kicker. I really liked the first few episodes but it went downhill VERY quickly when it became the Bode show.

I liked it (Fire Country) in the beginning and watched the entire first season and the first 2 episodes of the 2nd season. I was just hate watching midway through season 1 and after the first two episodes of season 2 in just got to be too much so I stopped watching it. NCIS: Hawaii is/was far better overall.

Out of the 14 drama series that CBS has aired this TV season, it ranks No. 6 in total audience (behind Tracker, NCIS, FBI, Blue Bloods and The Equalizer) and eighth in the demo.

And yet the crap disaster of a show Fire Country has been renewed. 😠

What gets me is if Dan is 70 he could have been collecting his full Social Security for a few years now and could have been applying that to paying down the mortgage.  I get putting off collecting while he's working to let the SS payment increase, but only a percentage of SS income is taxed so that would have helped.  And if you're paying off something that's costing you interest for a few years with it that also helps.

Dan is a year older than me so he would have had to wait until he was 66 years and 3 months old to get his full SSA but you do get a little bit more if you wait until age 70. Most people would benefit taking it as soon as possible because many people that wait until age 70 don't stay alive to get anything. Also you can still work while taking SSA and your SSA in not reduced until you make a certain amount of money which trust me in this show Dan would never make that much. So he pretty well screwed himself by waiting until age 70.

I thought drywall was his own business - if he worked for the town/city then he would be getting a pension.  How much depends on how long he worked for the town and if was there long enough to be vested.  I seem to remember how happy they were when he got the job working for the town and I believe they mentioned a pension way back when - but then again both Dan and Jackie both  had sons that seems to have been forgotten about so who knows about the pension.

If you pay into the pension, you are not paying into social security so that may be affecting what he is getting. But his jobs have been so hodgepodge over the years who knows?

He was in the union for his construction job working for someone else before he started his own drywall business.

I paid into 4 pensions, 3 union and 1 company pension, during my working life and I also had Social Security and Medicare deducted weekly from my paychecks. There was no option for me not to pay Social Security and Medicare deductions.

Eight Days A Week by The Beatles. Trying to remember which of the Fab Four's albums this is from but I'm blanking.

Released on their December 1964 album Beatles for Sale.

Let's build Jackson an indoor soccer stadium, while Lylah gets treated like a sack of potatoes!

But it is so RAD! (according to Tori)

When they first showed the "shop" being built I thought good idea...a place for tools and equipment to do actual work...but no it turns out it is an indoor playpen for Jackson and Zach. Pretty soon there will be a sign "NO GIRLS ALLOWED".

    What a waste.

And Isobel shouldn't even bother with questioning Scola about Tiffany.  "You're both on admin leave, starting right now."

Well they can't do that. They apparently only have 4 field agents for all of the New York City metropolitan area and they would cut that in half by doing that.

  9. Watching Zach, Tori, and their 3 kids camp out in their backyard is not entertaining at all and neither is Amy, Chris, Matt and Caryn planning a fundraiser. Last weeks episode was a real snooze. I can’t see anyway this show continues after this season.

I hope he was just saying that to keep Amy off his case. He has 4 children why would he leave it to his former wife?  Makes no sense.

Makes no sense to me either but he said it and even said it was Caryn’s idea. Chris’s eyes lit up when he said it though. 🤣

Umm… you can’t leave animals alone overnight at a vet clinic, can you? Now I’m retroactively concerned.

I’m going to tell myself there’s a vet tech or intern or something, who Neville told they could take a couple hours off.

My dog had cruciate ligament surgery about 3 months ago and had to stay overnight. I asked if anyone would be there at night and they said no.

That huge house was Chris’ dream not Amy’s. She was appalled at the size.

Agreed. Chris wants to be Matt 2.0. He either has a lot more money than I think he does or he is just insane. Most people are looking to take it easy when they retire and enjoy life...not take on a full time new career. You would have to hire a full time landscaping crew to just do the upkeep on that property. In Chris's mind I think he said he would only need to do 10-12 weddings a year. I think that is a pie in the sky view even though I have no idea what a wedding venue charges. Chris has definitely turned in a full fledged Roloff.

Did anyone else thing Bailey was dead when she was laying motionless half off of the unmade bed in her wedding dress the next morning?

I get that school boards are nutty about every little thing these days, but Lanford is in Illinois, a solid blue state. I get the social commentary here but it may be slightly misplaced, geographically speaking.

Oh, there are red pockets all over Illinois!

Illinois is a very blue state in its overall population which the majority is in Chicago area but by area it is much more red.

And of course mom of the year Tori had to tell everyone that Lilah peed her pants at dance class.

Which was after Lilah told her she had to go to the bathroom and Tori ignored her.

The producers vastly over estimate my desire to hear everything going on in Zach & Tori world.

And I will never say a word about what women do when they gather together after seeing and hearing Matt and his two buddies and Chris the fourth wheel discussions.

I am "this close" to just giving up on trying to get through an episode.

Same here. After two miserable episodes I can't continue. I hope for everyone's sake still watching that it gets better for you.
