Geez, that was an AWFUL episode, absolutely terrible. Incredibly slow pacing and badly shot. The credited director was someone called Cherien Dabis, which I think is a fake name/anagram because the “direction” was so embarrassing and downright inept.

And that was NOT 35th/Broadway-the exterior street area of the Snitch N Stitch shop was clearly somewhere in Queens or Brooklyn.

I loved last week’s episode. The directors (Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini) did a great job. I really hope next week’s finale is good. Because I thought this penultimate episode was horrendous.

Wow, that’s a bit of a rant. This was the sixth episode that Cherien Dabis has directed — 2 per season, including the excellent season 1 episode about Theo Dimas.

  2. I figured out surprisingly early who the killer was because the suspect board had the transcript saying he worked or volunteered in a rose garden. That was a red flag for me, given the whole “gardener access to poison” premise. But I also thought I recognized the actor at first, and I was very wrong about that.

Fantastic episode and exceptional acting.  I love stories about former 60s radicals in old age. At first, I thought it would be very sad, about their decline in a scuzzy nursing home.  But damn, those old ladies went out fighting until the end.

Hey, now. They were ‘70s radicals, and don’t you forget it!

Why would a spy claim to be a nationality whose language he wasn't fluent in? Young Konstantin was not smart if he was so easily made by Young Carolyn.

I think Konstantin was pretending not to recognize Russian, not failing to recognize the language of his cover story.

  5. Carmen Moyo is a great character addition to the show, I think. She had us sympathizing with her in the cold open, and then proved to be stone cold herself.

She’s like the opposite of Maya. Hmm, Maya/Moyo. Is there a deliberate play on names here? (Edited to say: Oops. The earlier character’s name was spelled Maia.)

Enjoying Survivor SA so far! They are starting with a pretty big cast. This must be a long season, does anyone know how many episodes it will go, and is it only one per week?

As far as I know, it’s 16 episodes — just one per week.

I freaking love that they are bringing in Isaiah Bradley. Does that mean maybe an Eli Bradley appearance as well to set up Young Avengers. Also does anyone think they had his wartime appearance be in the Korean War to say he got his serum after Steve instead of before Steve like in the comics? That feels a little like a cop out that way.

I was operating under the assumption that the kid who answered the door might be Eli.

The cast credits at the end of the episode listed one character as Eli Bradley.

  8. The UK had a 6-episode celebrity season earlier this month, and is currently airing their season 3 now (6 nights per week).

I believe all editions of the Circle film in the same building, and the US edition premieres almost immediately after the current UK season ends.

  9. If’s funny how many people complain about the credits being long and complete, but the credits did indeed show that Kathryn Kahn sang the theme song at the end of the episode. There’s gold in them thar hills, not to mention vibranium!

I definitely could sense hints of Modern Family, The Office, Happy Endings, Stranger Things, and Desperate Housewives, along with The Munsters in Agatha's theme, with a possible dash of The Addams Family.

Thanos definitely prefers The Addams Family over The Munsters.

Someone had posted a hope that sitcom Darcy would have a food truck as a nod to 2 Broke Girls. It would've gone with the traveling carnival of outsiders aspect, but at least she stole a funnel cake truck, right?

Happy Endings also had a food truck,

I think that the character Sara is immature (sleeping with a guy she picks up in a bar just after meeting him that night, and her other antics.)  The actress always does that smirk in all her pictures.  But I was surprised to read that she was Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway.

She’s a Tony Award winning actress. I assume if they didn’t like what she was doing, they’d ask her to adjust her performance.

So glad to see my beloved Phil looking tough & healthy.  And did I see the name Louise Keoghan in the credits?  His wife, sister or daughter?  Cool to make a show with a loved one

Louise is his wife. She was an executive producer on season 1 as well.

Phil was great on the Rob Has a Podcast recaps for season 1. I hope he joins them again for season 2 (and maybe brings Louise along).

  14. Regarding “recasting” Pietro: With Vision, Wanda had his body. She didn’t have access to her brother’s corpse, though, so it makes sense that it she were involved in bringing a version of Quicksilver into Westview, it wouldn’t be the same version necessarily.

That said, I’m not sure Wanda was behind the arrival of Pietro.
