The Oscars moved from their traditional monday night to their now traditional Sunday night...sometime within living memory. But the ceremony is typically after the SuperBowl or whatever that thing is called that has all the new ads.

A TV UO! (sorry about the all caps there...): I really enjoyed Robin Williams in a few films and whatnot but sweet Fanny Moses, the nonstop carrying on all over the interwebz and the teevee are just too much. I'm sure his comparative youth (63 is nothing these days) and the tragic circumstances are adding to it, but it gets to a point where what was (perhaps) legitimate grief becomes all about the griever rather than the dearly departed.

For those in need of a break from all of the nonstop weeping and wailing, the comments following this story are very funny. They riff on the media, not Williams. there are a couple of good ones about Fox News that I think Jon would appreciate.
