So is Carolyn, counterintuitively, a slob? That's what I took away from the scene in the hotel room. It didn't seem like everything was strewn about from a night of wild sex with Konstantin or anything. It looked like Carolyn is one of those people who present as super-together in their outside lives but whose dwellings are a complete horror show. When she responded to Eve's question about the room's chaos by not knowing what Eve was talking about, I took her not to be pretending but to genuinely not see what Eve sees, because it's her normal. I've known people like that.

Good point. She always apologizes for the smell when they enter into a new work space. Ha ha.

  2. It's also going to be interesting to see how they work in Coulson's role with Captain Marvel since he will be in her prequel movie. Who knows? Maybe he's in the Avengers 4 too? (doubtful). I'm so happy it's coming back and I think making it a summer show is a good idea.  It could get an audience because in a few weeks there is nothing on and that's when I start asking people for shows to binge because I'm bored.  And also, it's the perfect way to work in all the Marvel story lines that happened in the movies.

My brain is going to have a meltdown watching this show.

Anyway, Audrey Plaza was on Conan the other night, and she talked about how she had auditioned for the show.  She had auditioned for some other role, but was called in for a meeting and was told she could have the part of Lenny.  And she said "Isn't that the middle aged guy who is a drug addict?", and they said "Yeah, we think you're perfect for it".

Not sure if that helps any though...  More of an amusing anecdote...

I'm trying to follow what you're saying:  According to your theory, was there ever really a middle aged guy he got high with or not?  And was that guy named Lenny?

Yeah I don't know. All of David's memories have been manipulated by SK. Even when he said to Lenny a few episodes ago, "were you ever real?" Means he doesn't really know. I have heard that the original Lenny was a guy but remember that last season, prior to Clockworks, when he had that girl friend, he "interacted" with Lenny but now that I think about it, I think that was an SK manipulation that made him remember that memory differently. I think Ptonomy helped him with that.I should go back and rewatch and not offer my random thoughts. ha ha.

That's my recollection, too. In one of David's flashbacks last season where he was hanging out with Lenny getting high in his apartment, it was a kid of overweight, middle-aged guy.

From some of "Lenny's" scenes and dialogue this episode, I get the sense that Amy is still in her resculpted body along with "Lenny."

IT's so hard to follow this show, but from what my mind tells me (is it real or not? ha ha) David met the real Lenny (Aubrey Plaza) in Clockworks. Prior to clockworks he was potentially hanging out with an older man who he would get high with. When Shadow King took Lenny, he then changed the memories to be his pal Lenny, Aubrey Plaza. Or maybe those memories never happened? Geez Louise.  I still love this show though! I actually wondered if Lenny was Amy in the first 15 minutes. Her hair was longer and her dress and the blue eyes. And then I was like, no, that's too crazy and then Amy was in the show and then I was sad for them!

I certainly never wanted Jessica to come back. Nor do I want a Lucy- Flynn romance.  The writers been telegraphing their desire for a Wyatt- Lucy romance since episode 1 episode  1 when Wyatt tightened Lucy’s seat belt.   They must have decided recently  they prefer Lucy- Flynn. In order to do that, Wyatt and Lucy have to somehow not be a couple. Having them get to ‘that special point’  in their relationship and then have Jessica show up to destroy it  was the writers method of  telling the viewers ‘hey, see, we gave you Lyatt, sorry that it won’t work- here is Lucy Flynn for you’.

I didn't say it was logical or that the viewers would like it. I said that’s why  the writers decided to bring Jessica back. Anyone that thinks  logic will ever exist  in this show might as well wish for untold riches- you’ll be as likely to get either.

I agree with you that it was just a convenient narrative to break them up. And it was a good one. I gasped when it happened.  I have never been a Lucy and Wyatt fan.  Abigail Spencer is an awesome actress and I have seen her in some great roles. The actor who plays Wyatt was on the 90210 reboot. Soooo, I had a hard time seeing that in my head. But I like Lucy and Flynn and I have always thought they had chemistry. Just them sitting on the couch watching "It Happened One Night" showed more sparks than Wyatt and Lucy.  But I am curious they have a relationship down the road (which is why she gives them the journal and why he thinks he knows her so well) and they have to work up to that quickly because they might not get renewed. Orrr, is he using what he knows from the journal to use her?  I like him now and I like him on missions. He does what needs to be done. I've always thought Goran was hot. Back in the ER days, woo!  Fire!

For some strange reason I keep looking for Faith to be in the background of the scenes, hanging out with Billie or someone, but nope

She probably couldn't be because she is on another show on MTV "Ex on the Beach" Or something? I wonder if she was going to have a bigger arc but then got that show and decided to get into MTV's family.

  7.  I wonder if Kim thought she had Andy on her side because they had so many little side conversations where he was saying but Kim you said that on camera etc.   In a weird sort of way I feel like he might’ve been fighting for her but she just was not giving in or apologizing.     I can’t believe that last line she said about racism not really being real like 10 years ago? She is an insane person. As much as I hate how Kenya goes for the physical when she insults when  she said Kim needed to talk to her plastic surgeon about her double chin and then right at that moment the editors put in a picture of her with making double chin face. That was gold.  I think Sheree knew she was done this ep. she looked defeated. And this was her part. Or as Portia said, you’ve got the spotlight on you now. Good reunion. Atlanta does reunions right

So I guess that means we shouldn't count on seeing Black Lightning or Thunder in the annual crossover event this year?

We shall see... I bet we will. All they have to do is have Cisco vibe there by accident and boom, they have an entry. I don't know if they will do all 5 shows together in crossover but why not cameos? Right now it's just 2 superheroes on BL.  Not too many to guest star.

I miss his shorter hair!!!!!! I do not like a giant hair he's currently sporting!

His hair has got to go. Why is it so large and helmet-like? I like  that they are letting him keep his gray sideburns though. Love the little salt and pepper. I thought felicity and ray were cute together. (I was in the minority though)

Yeah, Syd unintentionally walled her when she and David body-switched.

Yeah but I always felt like it wasn’t clear that she was that Lenny and not just a figment of David’s consciousness.  I think what I mean more is that Lenny is actually Lenny in the shadow king.  So confusing.

soo.... every time David and future Syd are talking and she has to go she looks nervous, like someone is watching or giving her permission to be there. Short before she has to leave we hear that "scratching sound like the one that mysterious figure made after Melanie consumed the vape. In the series we are giving to think that that´s the shadow king, I think, but in the future the shadow king is death. In this episode we find out that there are two versions of it, could it be that one survived (prob. lenny) and has different plans and is manipulating the situation in some way.
What do you guys think about this theory or am i just mixing that wierd sickness with the shadow king

And @duncar that’s possible. Maybe in the future  some of the consciousness of the shadow king, like Lenny for example, could break off from him somehow. With this show you never know!

  11.  This was a good episode. I really like that they finally revealed fully that Lenny was real in the asylum. I liked the interactions with Foruhk and David.  He’s had much more practiced honing his abilities unlike David.  It does make me wonder if the big bad in future Syds life is David. Vulture has a good recap.  I actually understood John Hamm’s narration this week because both David and the shadow king can change your perception of reality so that does give them power with humans.

Also stray thought does the basket general guy have eyes on everyone because of his basket or is it because of his Androids?

  12. I completely agree with the consensus on last night's Flash. Ralph is all over the place. One minute he's in and being a hero, next he's scared and doesn't care. Then he wants to be a constant comedian? I mean What? Also, I really HATE Barry this season. I feel like they are all having their male egos stomped on and it's making for a bad show. Though I will admit I laughed at the Ralph whoopie cushion.  I know people have thoughts about Iris and I don't mind her, but I think that now that they are a couple it takes some of the fun out of it. I enjoy good tension and I like a love story.

I felt for Marlize. Wow. When they started it was a week until the body gave out and she said it would take her 3 hours. Then at the end she said 1 hour. I mean, is this going on like every 10 minutes or something? Yikes!

Also, Crucifer?! That cracked me up so much.

Where does The Flash go from here?

    Good link.

Well @Swellcatt I did research and found tons of hits on your theory and your theory is correct.  I can't believe it.  Neither Thomas nor the nanny dispute the fact that Thomas was screwing her teen daughter and gave her alcohol.  Was it this nanny that told Thomas to keep the kids in the guest house?  See this link for the best info I could find and be sure to watch the video another Charleston resident posted.

Thanks for your research. What a disgusting monster Thomas is.

  14. Ok, I'm not doing any research and maybe this is a fever dream, but when they were in Florida last season, didn't Thomas and Kathryn  have an argument about the nanny and that her daughter was watching the kids and there was a rumor that Thomas was sleeping with the daughter? Was that the same nanny? It sounds like this nanny was trying to find a way into Thomas' family. Yuck. And also, I love that this show is back! Bravo needs to separate RHONY and SC because they are both powerhouses and they air in the same week! Woo!

  15. I thought it was interesting that all of the survivors had Biblical names and when the sheriff said Leah's name was from the Bible, she said, what is that?  All of the ones, but Reese.  Caleb, Hannah, Thomas, Leah, etc.  I enjoyed the pilot. It had a enough catnip to keep me interested.

  16. I laughed so hard at this episode. When Ray said "Run Barry Run" I was cracking up. I was wondering why Mick was so into watching Lord of the Rings and then boom. How clever!  I enjoyed Damien being so emotional and having that moment with Sara. It does seem a little like they gave him a redemption arc but it makes sense that he and Sara would connect over the League stuff and how it makes you emotionless until you learn to love.  Maybe both Nate and Amaya erase their memories? I can't see how she stays on the show, but I suppose it could still happen!

Jennifer is thinking that she can't control her powers because right now she can't control her powers.  She doesn't really know how they activate, what they do (aside from fucking up her phone) what their limits are, etc..

The fear of the unknown (which her powers) are can easily lead to paranoia.  And is her father fertile?  He was earlier, but was that before or after he had powers?  Like Anissa, Jennifer has clearly thought about her future.  And to Jennifer the future is an accomplished but fairly normal life with college, a husband and children of her own.  It certainly wasn't becoming some metahuman super-type.  It's kind of a cool contrast with the sisters.  For Anissa, gaining powers completed her sense of self - making her the heroine she always wanted to be.  For Jennifer, they're damaging her sense of self by threatening to take away the life she'd envisioned for herself.

Good point about how the sisters reacted to their powers. I think a lot of Jennifer’s fear comes from her being a teenager. When you’re a teenager it’s all about fitting in and not standing out. That made a lot of sense to me. And it’s also funny because teenagers always act like they have all this  bravado but they’re still kids and they need to cuddle with their dad.  I can’t wait to see this play out. I loved this episode  And i love how well the characters are being brought out.  I really do hope the show crosses over. Even if it’s with one and not all. I’m sure it will,  and it’ll probably be with the flash because he seems to be the big crossover character with the new shows.

  18. Lala coming back makes me think back to Lady Eve and the first time we met her. People thought she was embalming someone who was alive, but maybe she was bringing him back? Maybe that's her power (or they have some Lazarus Pit water hanging around) and if that's the case, that's why Lala is back and acting crazy. (it was like that for Sara on Arrow/Legends too) And that could also mean Lady Eve could be back too... I really liked how they have set up the show with lots of potential new meta baddies with the green light revelation. And I am happy that Jenn will be getting in on the powered family action. I love that Jefferson is so progressive with his girls. He wants them to fight but he also wants them to be badasses who can take care of themselves. Really liking this show!

I couldn't really enjoy this because once again, for the third week in a row, or maybe ever since all CW shows returned from the mid-season finale, when I watch, the screen freezes, I miss dialogue and I expect my screen to get all pixelated next! But it only happens with Arrow, Flash and this show. I'm going to have to see if it's because I'm watching the dvr version and not live. Which means I'll have to actually watch Flash live tonight to see if that's it.

This happened to me too! I was watching live and at minute 39 it just stopped. So I went to the live version and rewound and was able to watch. I was thinking with the ghosts and stuff, was my DVR possessed? I'm not going to lie I was a little nervous.

It's possible, but I kind of doubt it.  Figure the "maybe-shady" role has gone to Gambi.  Lynn is a supporting character on a superhero show.  Her actual job isn't relevant until it is.  At some point I'd like to see a show focused on a hero's love interest with the hero in the background.  Say do a "Models' Inc." show focusing on Mary-Jane Watson as a model/actress trying to make a name for herself in NYC while just happening to date SpiderMan.

They tried that last year with the one season wonder, Powerless. I LOVED that show but it didn't appear that anyone else did. It was the lives of those who live in a world of superheroes but don't have powers themselves. It was really funny.

I would love a show about regular people in a world with superheroes. This is why I wanted the show "Powerless" to work so much. But it was so boring...

We had the same thought. Ha ha. I liked Powerless. I think it could have grown into a really good show if it had time.

And what's with bibianas " he's on page 10 and I'm just on the title ". He wasn't asking her to marry him , he said he'd like to communicate with her once the shows over lol . Overreaction a little much ?

That made me so mad. I said, how about chapter 2 or 3 Bib-idiot! When that whole thing went down, I was fuming. I loved all of the international guys. They seemed very forthright and open about their feelings. Even Christian was pretty open that he's not going to rush into things. This "experiment" showed that the American players or contestants are garbage people.  Could I find a Jordan please? Sigh. What a sweetheart! Also Courtney and Lily are adorbs. Maybe they were able to "move" here on a visa because of the show.  I was listening to a podcast (will you accept this rose?)  and they said that Bachelor has been trying to integrate some international contestants since the last BiP but with scandal they couldn't. So here's hoping we will see more international faces!

Also, I think the lack of drunken shenanigans was partially because they were actually doing things (events) and not laying in the heat on beds all day and a lot of them were older.
