A recurring ADA would be a nice palate cleanser after 2 years of the ADA’s personal life eating up the show. Also, it would be great to have someone who is good at law rather than someone we’re just told is good and wins cases because the plot demands it.

I usually think it's a bit embarrassing when fans proclaim they could have written a better story than the writers, but after reading all the speculation in the build up to the finale I think it's actually true in this case. There were so many great predictions about what would happen with the monster storyline and it was just abandoned, used as a means to get Quentin into a position to carry out the world's slowest throw.
Putting aside all the actively harmful what-the-shit aspects of the episode, it was just a godawful mess that seemed to have been written by someone who had never seen the show before but had gotten a brief recap from a drunk guy who had seen a couple of episodes on mute in an electronics store.

There's reports of Dean Winters showing up for the first episodes and this new ADA Stone "joining" the cast, but do we know if Esparza showed up and is in any of these episodes? What if Barba is already gone and we get some stupid explanation on screen and SVU just has to deal with it until the new ADA Stone shows up to replace him? I fully expect this show to take the tacky, makes no sense road and do just that. Maybe why Cassidy is brought back, to deflect and interact with Benson until her new ADA lover shows up. Just like this soap opera to do this.
He's in the first one and was at the read though for the second.

Which would suggest an ADA and an EADA going over the politics of the case and police tactics. However if the other actor is due to leave with the show still up and running it suggest the Criminal Intent alternating detectives or L&O:LA format of alternating ADA's
I'd be all for that. I really enjoy the legal side of the show so more of that would be great.

Glad to see Julie confirm Raúl is sticking around for the moment, hope it stays that way. It'll be interesting to see the legal side of the show grow, certainly a different approach than they've taken before. Can't say I was very fond of Peter Stone as a character but he might work better when he's not really leading a show.

Every time I think about the movie a new terrible thing about The Enchantress occurs to me. Cursing the servants for not telling their prince to be nicer was bad enough, but she made it so that when the last petal falls their fate is to become inanimate forever? Are they still sentient? Do they just die? That's so much worse than The Beast's punishment! Sure he stays looking like a GoatBear, but at least he's alive, not dead or trapped for eternity in the form of a teapot, unable to speak or move.

I was left wondering what the poor dog could have done. That's an example of one of the major issues I had with the film, the clumsy over-writing in an attempt to "fix" the plot holes. They either created whole new plot holes or disrupted the flow of the script. Like the nicely done prologue seems to be ending and then they rush in "AND EVERYONE FORGOT THE PRINCE THE END".
I don't really know how to feel about Emma Watson. I don't think she's necessarily a terrible actress, but she gave a weirdly downplayed performance at times. She was worst when she was by herself, Dan Stevens and Kevin Kline in particular both lifted her a bit.

In tribute, they replace it with an equally terrible song that also stops the movie cold. Both new songs were bad additions, though Evermore at least gave the Beast a moment and Dan Stevens performed it well. It's a shame it was so trite and dated.

Sssh, maybe if we don't mention it the writers will forget about him and we'll be mercifully spared his continued presence.
Morgan is such a frustrating character I almost forgot what a superb actor Lennie James is. That was fantastic work from him.

While I have to give it credit for some of the themes it tackled, this was a mess. The writing was often downright terrible ("a fire burns within", eeesh), but outside of a few great supporting characters, the acting didn't lift it. Mike Colter is okay, but didn't really bring anything interesting to the role and made other characters less interesting by proximity. The only time Claire really sparked like she did in Daredevil or Jessica Jones was when she was up against Misty. The attempts to create some kind of relationship between her and Luke was undermined by Rosario Dawson constantly looking like she was trying to end the conversation so she could catch a bus.
Misty was brilliant, as was Mariah. It's just a shame that once Mariah had the opportunity to become the complex villain of the piece, a cliched badly acted import from a low budget 90s WB show kept jumping in front of the camera for attention. I thought Shades was bad, but Diamondback was ridiculous. It's fitting that he kept referring to Justin Hammer, an equally irritating waste of screentime.
I get there's only so much you can do with a guy whose powers consist of throwing things and turning his back, but the action scenes were particularly dull. The endless fight in the last episode was woeful. And calling attention to how silly the villain looks doesn't make the whole thing any less silly.
It's a shame, it started really well, and while the pacing in the Marvel shows has always suffered over 13 episodes, this didn't even pick up towards the end. It just dragged to an awkward halt.

The kissing in this episode brought to mind a movie I once watched where an alien, unfamiliar with human forms of affection, just licked a guy's face. And even that was less awkward than whatever Claire was trying to do.

I wouldn't say they glossed over her rape at all. It's what changed the course of the show.
Diamondback is ridiculous, and not in a good kind of way. And while the writing hasn't been the show's strong point, the "you were like a brother to me, previously unmentioned childhood friend! Wait, you are my brother??!" was particularly badly done.

I know we're all well aware of this, but it deserves comment - sweet Jesus Kieran is a terrible actor.
Oh well, at least Eli is dead. Kid deserved that. "Seems to be a lot of murder in this town. Should I maybe mention my cousin is a psychopath... Nah."

I'd say Kieran being the killer is too obvious, but then Piper. I'm hoping his family turns out to be a bit Texas Chainsaw Massacre because otherwise we've been annoyed by the bratty cousin all season for no reason. My current unlikely prediction is that it's the sheriff, so he can be killed and replaced with another former Third Watch star. I vote Ty.

"That must be a mistake! He's been so unslimy and not at all lurky!"While it was satisfying to see Kieran punch him, it was a bit like throwing two beige paint samples at a beige wall.
It was nice to see Audrey finally hanging out with Emma after weeks of her refusing to report a serial killer because she's worried it'll ruin their "great" friendship if she tells Emma that she once didn't realise a woman was a murderer.
My favourite part of the episode was the overacting deputy. I hope he lives and conquers his fear of clowns.

I've spent most of the past 2 months without a TV, without my DVR regularly recording Colbert. And, I must admit, I don't clamor for his clips, even when media outlets say he said something interesting.
I think the Emmys go into a bit of a tizz when they lose their go to nominees. It's why Game of Thrones won actual awards for the "bad pussy" season. The nominations this year are a mix of experimental (Comedians in Cars, which is great despite the weird 'not on TV!' reaction) and lazy (hey, I saw this show on Buzzfeed), so I'll be more interested to see what it looks like going forward.

I think my favourite part of the episode was everyone concluding hope was lost for Porthos and d'Artagnan, with Athos staring broodingly into the distance, only to find them less than three feet away under one plank and four rocks. I hope they never go into a career in mountain rescue.

Emma has become quite the unbearable little brat. I look forward to her hooking up with the irritating little cousin for what I hope is their immediate double murder.
I appreciate they're not going the slasher route this year, but I still think we need to see the killer more. Casually waving Branson's disembodied hand was a highlight of the episode. I still think it's Emma's dad somehow and Kieran's 'secret background' is that he's actually 42.

OITNB is just taking great pleasure in making Piper look like some white privileged stooge and that kind of offends me.
I think the show is mistaken as to the real problem with Piper. They think she's not a successful character because her storylines are dull, so they've turned her into an exaggerated parody instead.The real problem is Taylor Schilling just isn't a very good actress, and even with the best material she would still be a bland presence. Every other actor and actress on the show has done more with less, even if it's just bringing some charisma to the screen.

I started skipping Mary's scenes towards the end and I'm pretty sure I missed nothing of importance. If they scrapped her next season the show would be far better for it.
I'm not sure Steve really is alive. I think he's another 'vision', whatever they may turn out to be. I hope it's not truly supernatural as I thought the show was best at dealing with issues of faith without showing an actual burning ladder - the best episode was Eddie and Hawk's walk towards reality. Speaking of, Hawk was a revelation across the whole series and I was disappointed he didn't leave with his dad, but Eddie was never the main contributor of pettiness in that family so I get why he didn't tell him about his mom messing with his overdramatic teenage love life.

I didn't realise the previous episode wasn't the finale, that's the level of my disinterest in Liz and whatever she was up to. And yet, my disinterest could not compare with Liz's apparent disinterest in whether her husband and baby had just been brutally murdered. Most bad actors would at least have the good grace to overact that moment rather than look like they're trying to decide between chicken or beef for dinner.
