I don't have a problem with Tasha leaving her daughter behind for training camp. I'm sure they occasionally came and visited her. Her daughter was in her snapchats quite a bit during the summer so I assume they were in Dallas a lot.

I don't either.  No reason to uproot a child from home and friends and your husband's job for the summer when you don't even know if you are making the team.  I was suprised more women would not be supportive of any woman pursuing her dreams.  I don't think being a mom means you have to put your dreams on hold... And DCC is something you age out of... There is a small window.  WIth so many vets gone, this was the year to make it.  I am a stay-at-home mom and I am in college pursuing my masters right now.  Does that mean I am studying some days we could be out at a park or museum... Absolutely.  Does it also mean they see hard work and example of study they can apply to their own study habits and school?  Absolutely.  I am not a huge fan of Tasha's but I would support any woman who wanted to strive for something challenging and fufilling.  That can be an example to her daughter as well.

I can't believe they cut Kyndall but kept Kelsey.  I'm surprised they didn't focus on Selena at all.  She came back from last year and made it this year.  Not even a short interview.  I have more to say, but it's spoiler related.

Selena IMO is passable on looks and also like Amy very short which is always a boots issue.  I think they did not focus on her because there would be too many comparing her to Auto Amy who the viewers love and adore and has a great DCC face.

Overall this season was better than the last few. We did see more dancing and more actual correction and critique, less fluff, and the talent pool was amazing. Loved all the new routines as well.

    ETA - Emma - she's a trooper. I wish she'd stayed a year and could've been point.

Yes, Yes, and yes!  Also Emma always keeps her figure and they can just slide her in like she never left.  I love that!

Kyndall was so sweet during her cut - I am so bummed about her and really wish she would have made it this year - she is so pretty and has the nicest figure.

I agree... And when they showed on a previous episode Jessika and Kyndall doing side-by-side sexy hips I thought Kyndall looked much better.  I think she has goregous leg lines and figure.  Anyways, she is one of my favorites and I was hoping for her but I did not see an improvement in "power Pom" from her.  My guess is Judy and Kelly were hoping for development and improvement in that area.  It would be very difficult to have your roommate make it and you not.  I think she needs to take hip hop and practice hard hitting dances and I hope she comes back next year.

  5. I may be in the minority, but I liked Melissa R with the vet (was it Megan?) going over dance moves and deficiencies.  I like her and think she does add a human perspective and interaction that Kelli taking notes into a recorder can not provide.  I remember on an old episode Danielle saying she was trying to be fun and show her personality to Kelli during fittings because it was her one shot at interacting with her one-on-one.

What I do find super odd is the fact that Kelli handed Kyndall, her own fitted finished blinged out uniform at fittings. Had Kelli ever done that before? Anyone in Kyndall's camp would have thought, wow this is it. I'm golden and this finished uniform is my ticket. And I couldn't blame anyone for thinking that way.

I do think they meant it as encouragement.  I do think she was a last minute cut where the uniform was already done and then they decided to cut her last minute.  I think handing her a finished product was just to say, you are back.. We wanted you back...etc.  I remember them calling Alex into the office and saying she was so much better than the last year and to not be nervous in TCC the second time... And I think this is what they meant by the uniform.

I like Kyndall.  I think she has a great figure and her hair is great for the humidity and 4 quarters of a football game.  I am routing for her, but I do not see her getting more powerful.  I always say I saw a difference in Alex from the year she got cut and the year she came back.  I think Kyndall seems sort of the same.  So, we will see.

Candace is a hoot, and her input is actually understandable and useful - not crispy bacon pastel puppy blender arms. I hope they keep her.

I agree.  She seemed to have good comments about style, and some others.  I think she is a lovely lady and a person you would want to see associated with the Dallas Cowboys brand.  I enjoyed her, I felt she had something to contribute and hope they keep her.

  8. I really like Yuko, but I do find it interesting they are working with her visa status and seem to be allowing some leniency compared to other girls.  The staying with a former DCC of such stature seems unusual and makes me think there is more going on here than we are aware.  I think she has a real spark for dancing and is entertaining to watch but I am not certain how they feel she "passed" the interview if she is having an interpreter come to her classes.

Kelli Pickler had a recent show where she and her husband went to Tokyo and it did not appear to me this was a locale that was on their lifelong bucket list... It was a little bit fish out of water story over there.  So, I wonder if CMT is trying to bring itself to the Japanese market and there is some crossover branding going on.  Maybe they have a Japanese girl trying out so she creates buzz and copy over in Japan about her experience trying for DCC to open a new market of viewers to CMT or country DCC MTT or something.  Not sure, but if it was a CMT branding thing I could see DCC wanting to place Yuko in an established home during production.

In my opinion, I do not think we should be blaming Kelli and Judy for bringing in more girls into TC. I think CMT, Charlotte, Jerry Jones and a few other outsiders have a major say so in the matter. You can tell there are girls Kelli and Judy do not care at all, but they still make it into TC. Girls like Ashley Pro, Morgan, Kaitlyn from Season 8 make the team, but I am not really buying into Kelli's I think these girls have potential and can turn out to be great performers by the end of the season. Does she really believe what she is saying or is someone behind the scenes making her take these girls in. Look at this season. There are girls Judy wants to have a chance of making the team, but obviously her wants are not being listen to. You can tell she was not happy about Ashley P or Morgan making the team.

OMG, I typed a whole long thing and I don't think it posted.  Maybe you were all meant to be spared my critique, just never Kelli's....lol.

I totally agree with above.  I think 50 yard line Kelsey? Is that her name? Was a Charlotte preference because of her look and some of the male judges.  I remember I was really harshing on her previous seasons because she did not prepare for the interview, but she has won me over this year.  I think Kelli is rude in her comments because Kelsey is not her selection/preference and I wonder if she is trying to get her to crack or get her digs in.to justify cutting her.  Very passive aggressive on Kelli's part if that is the case, but I do wonder.  I think Kelsey has handled the pressure and the odd bacon feedback really well.  No problem Kelsey, just have crisp movements, you can do it.  You will be sizzling on the field and a great rep of the brand.

  10. Originally loved Barrett until last rounds and this. i just think it is his time to go, does not have more to show and clearly doesn't get the lyrics of Delta Dawn. Mistake Blake!

I think Evan has a great voice but this old music is doing nothing for him. I'm not certain if that is Pharell or Evan driving that?

I'm ready for them to cut a lot... Down to Amy, Jefferey, Jordan and maybe Shelby or Emily Ann.

  11. And yes, Gwen needs to go. She's not totally to blame, but this season it's really become "The Voice Makeover." Considering all the time that's been spent talking about hair and clothing, why even bother with "the blinds" anymore? This season seems to about seeing a bunch of young people overcome their shyness and become role models for other gawky unpopular teens. I understand the public service message, but for me it's killing what was supposed to be the one singing competition show actually about singing.

Yes, it was more about "the Voice" when Rhianna was giving good advice about vocals earlier this season.

Watching Pharrell crack up (when Blake made the comment about Gwen singing to him on the Tonight Show) was amusing. Pharrell really lost it for a moment.

That whole thing was funny and shocking (that Blake would mention it) and Pharell losing it cracked me up. bUt to his credit he turned it around to say it was Amy's moment and gave her some comments. Blake should have thought about the fact he was robbing his own singer time to "sing her praises".

  12. I never cared for Jeffery... He had a nasal type voice that just did not do much for me. That said, he was the best performance of the night and I voted 10 for him because of it. Jordan, I just love him and if he wanted to do a spiritual hymn this was the night to do it (going down to 11, before stakes are too high) but there are so many other hymns or even gospel revival I would have selected over his choice. Shelby I felt came in strong and at least moved me, so she should be good this round. Emily Ann and Barrett were two of my favorites until now... I like them as people and want to vote for them but both performances were just decent. I think sunshine did a solid performance. i just struggled with the fact that the show overall was lack luster and I agree too many dated songs. Someone said upstream Pharell has managed to typecast Evan and I agree, it will hurt him in the end. i do think Evan had the potential to take this far but not with the direction Pharell is taking him.

  13. "You're so unique, Korin, and I want to really highlight those different unique facets. To that end, I'm going to make you look just like me."

Dear Gwen, kindly stop messing with my favorite artist.

I agree- from the strong red dress that looked like it ate her a couple eps back to the new blonde hair that does NOTHING for her but make her looked washed out... Ugh I liked her quirky glasses and personal sense of style because it was her. I wish Gwen spent more time on the voice coaching than this other stuff.

  14. i really thought Brooks looked like he was trying to control his rage during the Andy interview. I thought he was so twitchy because he was furious.

l Yes, he didn't like the way Andy laid out the accusations. There weren't alot of open ended questions where he could spin another parcel of lies. I think Brooks' twitching/jaw clenching and how his answers started to be short and defensive was telling.

  15. I never was crazy about Shannon, but I sort of found her entertaining with the colonic and having her husband checking her. I think she is lightening up a little bit which was nice because the OC was good when they are just having wild, wacky times.

Is that what Heather said? I kept thinking I was mishearing her when she said "noncologist".

That and a comment she made at the baptism about jews never forgetting? -wish I could remember because it was clever-were the best quips of the season IMO.

  16. I think the difference is Brooks claims Dr x treated him. No one is calling the office blindly to find out if a certain patient is in their files. Just like if a friend refers someone to a doctor and "Joan said you did great work and her surgery was a success" he doesn't need to say "I can't confirm or deny I helped Joan"

    • Love 5
  17. As I said before, if this doctor wanted to make a public statement that Brooks wasn't his patient, he should have been doing that himself rather than Heather.

I do not share your same opinion about confidentiality, but I do agree with this. I'm not certain the neighbor doctor appreciated Heather making this comment on air.

  18. I think that Heather's problem in general is that her life is pretty close to perfect. That is a good thing in general, but maybe problematic if you are on a Reality show surrounded by people who have some seriously bad shit going on in their lives. She is rich, has had her own successes that exist outside of her marriage, has a beautiful family, a rich husband that she loves and who loves her, and she has a body that most women would die for. It's all so good for her that I often think she has to come up with small ways to get some attention on a show where the talk is always about the horrible thing that is happening to someone. I also think that in the world of reality TV, she is just not that prone to drama for the sake of drama. I love her, but don't always think she makes for the best in Reality TV considering what it has become

I think u r right. Maybe that is why the leeches...she is trying to do something fun and different.

  19. Yeah. Heather was right about the human body's natural cleansing ability.

Why then did she put leeches on her tummy?

I know, I was so glad that Heather corrected Shannon on that issue. I know I am in the minority, but I like Heather. She is not just a trophy wife and not afraid to use her vocabulary. But the leeches... that was as cooky as some of Shannon's things.

  20. Also a hard earned life lesson don't complain about where you live to the people that live there . I moved to NC from NY about 15 years ago for my husbands job. I was really looking forward to the move and I was shocked to discover I hated it . I had some sense knocked into me when I saw a bumper sticker that read WE DONT CARE HOW YOU DO IT UP NORTH.

This made me chuckle! Perhaps because of my recent move. But so true! My mom said 20 years after we left a certain location "I liked so-and-so and so-and-so but Oh, I hated that place. It is the armpit of America." I never knew. She was a seasoned military wife and had moved 17 times... grow where you are planted.
