I’m creeping out of my hole to comment…
I never “hated” VK. I don’t hate people I don’t know or have never met.
What I greatly disliked (and I don’t think I’m alone in this) was the obvious, glaring special treatment she was given by TPTP in Season 13. There are too many examples for me to count and if you’ve watched the show you know what they are. No need to go there.
All you have to do is watch Season 14 prelims and watch her fall out of her turn. Had it been anyone else who did that, Kelli would have put a big N in her book and moved on. Instead, Kelli laughs and says, “Oh, Victoria!” and Victoria moves on to semis.
With that said, I do believe VK matured in that year between Season 13 and 14, and earned her spot that year. I wish her all the best in her return to the squad.
Going back to my hole now…

I follow Michelle Keys on Instagram. Her recent casual pics with her husband/daughter look so much better (softer) than the ones she posts promoting her classes. Those look quite harsh in comparison, imho.

They tore it down in late 2018. I saw it a few months before that. They were supposed to be building apartments on the land, don’t know if they ever did.

That’s what I thought, too.
If you watch when Kashara’s called last at finals, to me she looks like she’s about to cry because she thought she might have been cut.

I have a theory about Gina. I’m guessing she wants to shine as co-point with Rachel.
Remember that Kashara gained weight over the summer between her first full year at point and the second?I think I’ve got that right. I just remember it was between seasons.
Kelli and Judy punished Kashara at finals by making her the last vet called. It sent a clear message that if she didn’t lose it she’d no longer be point and possibly be off the squad.
Gina is no dummy. I think she remembered that. Maybe she went overboard to not gain weight over the summer and it went the other way.
I think she’s photoshopped her pics in the past to look skinny but what we’re seeing now (I believe) is really her. And that’s sad because she is a great dancer and doesn’t need to do go overboard.
Just a theory…

I think she has sculpted abs but Gina has always over-photoshopped her photos, mainly her torso. I wish she wouldn’t because it makes her body look markedly wonky.

That’s what I was thinking when I read it.
I really hope we find out soon what’s going on. If she re-auditions next year, fine. She took a year to deal with whatever’s going on and has the right to try again like anybody else.
But if they give her an automatic spot next year without auditioning, I’ll be pissed.

Maybe, but they didn't.
If they’re going to take the huge risk of holding training camp in the midst of a pandemic, it’s their responsibility to make every effort to consult with available experts and public health officials about what safety measures they should be taking to consistently to protect the TCCs and the community they’ll go out into after training camp.
But anyone watching even one episode this season can observe that their attempts at enforcing consistent mask wearing and social distancing were haphazard at best.

More options? Where? Covid shut down Broadway and many of the other dance venues they could have tried for in a "normal" year.
After seeing how poorly the "Bubble" was maintained and how Kelli and Judi cut two top-notch vets for a few unproven rookies (esp one like Alora Rose who is a yawn fest), I'm betting those that didn't go are thanking their lucky stars they didn't.
They should have kept vets and never had training camp this year.

Okay, I have a confession to make. I'm 52 and not "with it" in terms of current styles, cosmetics, hair styles, etc. But when I was watching that 15-minute compilation of the audition videos, I kept staring at their eyebrows. How much time does it take to get your eyebrows to look like that? Is it now a "thing" to have them so perfectly shaped and sculpted? If so, I'm glad I'm old and don't have to take the time to figure out how to get mine to look like that. It would take me all day! 🤣🤣🤣

Nice to see Gina's natural waist here looking quite normal, unlike the ultra photoshopped weird result we see in what she herself usually posts. I love Gina as a dancer but will never understand WHY she does this to her own photos when she looks great as she is.

I will always wonder why they brought her back a second time. Maybe the men all liked her? She still had the overly done eye makeup and pigeon toed walk she had the last time. That didn't change. She did have better showmanship from being on the Mavs but I think that was the best place for her, an NBA setting.

YES YES YES. I like Gina more than I used to in the beginning. But I honestly think she photoshops her waist in every flippin' photo she posts and there is no need to at all. She would look perfectly fine without trying to convince us she has a corset-produced tiny waist yet somehow normal healthy toned legs. She's a great looking woman without the filters/photoshopping.

Jasmine and Danielle on the other hand ... looked like they had alot more in common besides cheering on the Jets. Besides if I remembered correctly, Jasmine's final year on the Jets, Danielle wasn't even on the Jets anymore because she did her 3 years on the Jets the year before (about a year before her rookie) and she spent the next year on the New York Giants unofficial cheering team but the production wasn't exactly going to "talk" about unofficial things without making themselves look like they promote "unofficial things" and it did feel like they kept in contact during that final year before their rookie year.
Also Jasmine and Danielle both had alot more in common than Tara and Savannah in terms on things to deal with their rookie year on DCC eg first time paying rent and bills for the first time, and seems like they lived at home when they were on the Jets and had their parents comforts to an extent eg parent chaffeur etc (I know that was not said by anyone on the show on Danielle/Jasmine but the way they talked about it ,makes it like that) and Danielle has also said on instagram that her parents spent alot of money coming to Dallas just to see her at every football game and that looked liked it included when she is All Stars too. Both seems too proud to ask their parents for help in rent/bills etc as its their first and that in itself brings up alot more bond than Savannah/Tara.
I was just looking at Danielle's wedding web site and Jasmine is going to be her Maid of Honor. That tells me they are still very close. A number of former DCCs are going to be bridesmaids, including Jordan Elizabeth, Alex Hermes and Jessica. I can't remember the others.

After the uproar about Jaylyn not being chosen again for Show Group last year so VK could have a spot, I knew Kelli would never, ever put her back on. I have no doubt both Kalinas insisted on that. I’m honestly relieved Jaylyn is still on the team. I thought she might get axed, not Hannah. That stunned me.

Random thoughts...
I always liked Lauren Williams for her "the cow they named after me" comment. She seemed real to me.
It kind of surprised me that Judy went ballistic over Lauren Castillo's reply. Every time I saw Lauren C, she was attached to Cassie's elbow. I didn't think she'd go after a Cassie buddy like that.
Someone asked a few pages back about why Jordan missed the Game Day bus. I could have sworn in one of the first airings of the show she said something about oversleeping because her alarm clock didn't go off. But it got edited out.
I think one of the best DCCs that came out of the show was Brandy Kilby. She came back from being called a stripper to make the team, did it for a year then said "buh-bye" to become a Laker Girl. Now she's happily married, has six (?) kids and looks fabulous. She definitely didn't let DCC define her.
Then there's Karissa, who never made the team. I think had she not had the wacky family issues that were dogging her, she could have had the time (and money) to take the classes she needed to improve her dancing. But she moved away from Texas (SMART MOVE), went on to law school in Miami, got married and is practicing law in San Francisco now. She moved on and is doing great.
One last thing. After they moved to the Star, the show got more fake/plastic/mannequin-like (to quote Kelli describing one of the Minschew sisters) and the TCCs started to run together for me. Less interesting back stories about the girls and more guest choreographers/celebrity crap. As a result, even with the Ericka/Holly/Jenna drama, it got boring.

I think Heather H very much wanted to stay on. Turning the wrong way in the kick line was an unfortunate error.
Charlotte already had it out for her, Allie, and Raylee. They were gone no matter what anyone thought.
The only vet I’ve seen to escape Charlotte’s wrath was Anne Luxe. Somehow she she made it to a second season.
