I've been out of the dating world for a long time.  Is this the way women find out if they like a guy?  Because (old person voice)  when I was that age, you were supposed to get to know a guy first, the make out sessions were AFTER you decided you like him.

Well, she hasn't made out with all of the men so maybe she is kissing only the ones she likes. We've seen her deny Chad a kiss. Jordan might be her favorite but she could still be testing her sexual chemistry with some of the others. I am just not picking up on the strong chemistry between her and Jordan. He just comes across as fake and performing for the cameras.

I forgot to mention Luke in my post yesterday.  Does he ever show any emotions or facial expressions?  I think when JoJo said his name at the rose ceremony I detected the corner of his mouth going up ever so slightly.  Then poof, it was gone and his face was back to deadpan.

None, but two, of these guys show any personality.  Wells has some wit and I like him.  What personality Alex has shown is just ugly.  The rest are all just bland, bland, and more bland.

Luke shows emotions, just not as much as some of the others. Could be the West Point officer training or maybe he internalizes things more than he emotes. He's my fave right now. I like his intensity and I like that he gives JoJo his full attention when he's with her.

I found it totally obnoxious--Jordan was so camera aware--or "prepped" as Riplet68. Look how goofy-charming I can be by eating this cucumber!! Blech

This is how I find Jordan throughout this whole thing. He just seems to be acting except for when JoJo asked him about the cheating claim. He was caught off guard there. I watch him and JoJo and just feel sorry for her because she is so attracted to him that she is ignoring red flags and he is going to end up hurting her. I just don't get his appeal and I have no problems with tight jeans. Some men wear them well.

I can see Chad telling the producers "Look, I really just want to be on "Bachelor in Paradise", but I know I have to be on the mother show first.  Can you just tell me what part you want me to play, and I'll do it for however long it takes it get me to Mexico?".  Or he's decided to Kobayashi Maru the whole deal as others have suggested.  Play HIS game, not theirs and try to re-wire the proceedings from the inside.  Because his real estate business will benefit from whatever type publicity he gets. People are and will talk about him, and that's the most important thing.

Jo (I'm with ya, wings707!) is pretty maniacal and as artificially animated as I thought she'd be.  And it would be nice if she could dial down the sparkle a little.

JoJo is just fine and doing a good job of making sure guys she's interested in get to spend time with her. I see absolutely nothing maniacal about her. Funny who is seeing all these over-the-top flaws. Very funny. Anyway, she needs to stop talking about Ben and his and Lauren's love like it's some kind of ideal. That rejection seemed to have affected her more than we thought.

  5. Did Mischa stop at one point in rehearsal to put on blush? I was pissed for Artem when she also stopped in the middle of what he was showing her and arrogantly asked if they can dance to music like she was in charge and knew what to do. Artem went along with it although he told her it would be harder because she clearly hadn't learned the steps yet. Last week she mentioned that she has done a lot of dancing in her life. I bet it's difficult to teach someone who thinks she knows already. I really don't know what to make of her. Last week I felt sorry for her and thought she needed encouragement and to just relax. This week her attitude really stunk.

  6. You can come from a family of doctors and still be a fame whore. Not sure how those are mutually exclusive. Her family may be rich, but they come off tacky to me. Nothing wrong with that but if you're going to put yourself and your family on TV best be ready for the snark. Her brothers came off more as dicks than as protective older brothers. They are probably manwhores which is why they would assume Ben, who always gives off more of a boyscout vibe than anything, was playing all these women, or that's how the brother who already did this kind of thing acted so he assumes all men are dogs. Who knows. I don't really care. I have no interest in watching JoJo's season so I'm out...again. (I watch based on the lead. Didn't see Andy's season either, or Emily's. Of course I actually loved Kaitlyn's so what do I know? haha

I don't see how they were fame whores or tacky, but maybe you have more inside information than I do. Good luck to Jojo in her search for love. That Ben would instinctively go to her when he needed clarity or comfort and that she shared her clothes with the other women speak volumes for me about her as a person. None of the unearned badmouthing on this site has changed my mind about her. I wish her well.

  7. I dont know about this family, seem off, all this reality tv business. i dunno, maybe all actors, i mean, how much of these shows are real - ??!!??!?

what are the odds of both bro and sis being (reality) famous from dating shows?

    just my two cents...pondering....

Who knows why both siblings chose to go on a dating show, but they're not actors. Jojo comes from a family of doctors. Her mom and dad are doctors, her brothers' father is a doctor, one brother was in an African country fitting the deaf with hearing aids, so I assume he's a doctor too. I noticed on Instagram a close cousin who is also entering the medical field. The brother who went on the other dating show was/is a Wall Street investment banker and was managing the finances of the Royal family in Dubai; and of course Jojo is a real estate developer. Maybe another theory is needed to put the family down because two members decided to look for love on t.v. Jojo said her brothers raised her because her parents were busy with work. I can cut them some slack for being protective.

I've already lost interest in Ben and Lauren.

  8. No secret I'm not a JoJo fan, so I did enjoy the dig (probably unintentional, to be fair) by Ben's dad when he and his mom were talking about how JoJo and Lauren are similar but so different, to which dad said that Lauren is very polished. I don't want to say JoJo comes across as crass (she's no Kaitlyn), but there's just something off putting that has nothing to do with her wardrobe.

I don't think this was at all what Ben's dad meant. There was no dig. Polished also means confident and rehearsed. Jojo was nervous and emotional. The dad even said she came across as more "real" than Lauren.

  9. When I see happy couples, Ben and Lauren for example, I am not envious. I am happy for them. I am not even thinking of myself in that moment. Do you see the difference?

Well, that's nice. Of course there's a difference, you are not envious of other people's happiness. Some of us are. We are not taking anything away from the other couple. We would just like to have that happiness as well for ourselves. It doesn't make you any better than the envious ones. How many people have said they would love to have a marriage like their parents or to find long-lasting love like so and so? That is envy without using the word envy. Good on you for never feeling it.

  10. Lauren's overall look/persona is elegant and refined--sure, she's young and could use a few style tweeks, like getting a good hairdresser and losing the shorts, but overall, I find her much more attractive.  JoJo borders on Kardashian for me--trying too hard and showing too much.  However, some people like that, so that's fine.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on this. Lauren maybe taller but I didn't see how she was more refined. She wore the tackiest outfits. Those tight two-pieces with the slits spell cheap and trashy. Let's also not forget the too-tight, wedgied jeans shorts she couldn't walk in. If anyone showed too much it was Lauren, maybe trying to make up for the lack of a personality. She got the guy in the end, so fair play on her part with the tackiness.

  11. No, I am saying the exact opposite. I have never wanted people to feel jealous of my relationship because I am not that kind of person. Jo-Jo is. According to Jo-Jo.

No, you're not saying the opposite. Jojo prefaced her statement by saying she has looked at other people's relationship and been envious of what they had, meaning she would love to have a happy, healthy relationship like theirs. Then she said she would like others to look at what she and Ben have I feel the same way. That's how much she believed that what they had was a good thing and maybe others would want it too. Isn't this the essence of role-modeling. What is wrong with that? Why are people manufacturing reasons to demean and hate Jojo?  I also didn't think her family was as bad as others make them out to be. Her brothers are protective of her, so?

  12. JoJo is pretty and "hot," but in comparison to the tall, slender Lauren, JoJo could look a little bit Neanderthal -- low forehead, broad back, a little bit short and stumpy.

This made me laugh because in my eyes and those of so many others Lauren the Chinless and Dead-eyed cannot hold a candle to Jojo, in appearance or personality. She personifies bland. Good for her though that in spite of these shortcomings Ben wanted her. I wonder if she reminds him of someone he wanted in the past and didn't get or someone he had a really good relationship with and wants to re-live that. Outside of the attraction, he never sought her out to discuss anything of meaning. Jojo was the one he would always go to calm him or hear her views on what was happening. He even said it more than once and to his parents. Anyway, I loved how the audience was more excited for Jojo being named the Bachelorette than seeing the new couple. Good luck to them.

  13. Wow, that was really low of Ben to go to commercial rather then answer the question about if Olivia had bad breath--basically by doing that he said she had bad breath to the nation. Cruel imo.

Someone needs to be direct and honest with Olivia and let her know her breath is foul. I don't think she knows and she is expecting kisses. Ben having her chow down on mint did not get through to her whatsoever.

  14. What also bothers me with these non-Ballroom styles on the show is how unfair it is that they are forcing Ballroom specialists to do them. The pro and star both end up looking like amateurs. I don't want to see that. Viewers aren't fully outraged as yet because they haven't gone too extreme, but imagine if they added Hip Hop or Krump? Where will the line be drawn? Why would the much more successful DWTS try to be like SYTYCD?

  15. Yorklee2 I am totally on board with your reasoning. Tenley did not need Joshua to extend her time in Paradise. She had JJ and Michael. She could have also gone on the date with Chris Bukowski and gotten prime camera time, but she told him she has romantic feelings for Joshua and he should ask someone else. I also saw chemistry between her and Joshua. I think physical attraction was probably all that was there for Tenley, which wasn't enough to get her to move to a one-stoplight town. I also don't think it is fair to compare the way she is around Joshua with how she was around Kiptyn. She is older and more cautious now. Getting dumped will do that to you. I liked the little moments when she gives into her feelings and acts a little giddy around Joshua like spontaneously kissing him, hugging him, slapping his butt, or telling him she loves being in his arms. I also liked that after JJ kissed her and bragged about his expertise with women, Tenley went back in the night to be with Joshua. Maybe these were all faked moments, but I liked them.

The problem I have with this reasoning is that when Tenley had the choice at one time between the lawyer guy Michael, JJ or Joshua she picked Joshua because she said he gave her, "butterflies." To me that's a sign of chemistry. Maybe not a deep chemistry but chemistry nonetheless. I think when these people first get together they are not really thinking long term,(exceptions are of course Juelia, Carly and Ashley I) they are just enjoying their summer beach vacations. I think she came to really like and care for Joshua and if she thought of the distance it was something to put off for later and just see how things progressed. In the end although she cared for him it just wasn't enough. I don't agree with some who think she used him to make her feel better about herself. I'm sure he enjoyed his time with her also. One poster even said he didn't seem to take it hard. I disagree. In the limo as he was leaving his eyes were very red and you could tell he was holding back tears but he had nothing but good to say about her and didn't act like he was unfairly wronged in any way as some of the others did. It seemed to me like a case of two adults who had a nice time together, who liked and respected each other but in the end it just wasn't enough. Happens every day.

  16. I think Tenley went to paradise with no relationship in mind. She had just come out of a difficult breakup and wanted to feel good. Joshua provided that good feeling. There was no way she was moving to Idaho to be with a welder in a one stoplight town.

  17. Regarding that article on Tenley, something is off to me. While anything is possible, why would Tenley pretend with Joshua when he wasn't her only option? She is very friendly with JJ, even now after the show. Why didn't she choose him or Michael, who came to paradise for her? Those are guaranteed roses yet she chose Joshua, who she supposedly doesn't like, to stay on the show? If you check out what goes on in the background, you will also see that she spends a lot of time in Joshua's space and they are usually touching or talking to each other. She is a damn good actress if this was all pretend and I will say again anything is possible, but some things don't add up for me.

  18. By most accounts, Joshua is an a-hole in real life.

Who are the "most" being referred to here? I've seen no evidence of this. Ben, the new Bachelor, even got him to make a rose for his mother and Chelsie said he and Tenley were her two favorite people on the show. Joshua is also now helping to raise money by auctioning off a date with him for a trauma patient who was in a car crash. Dear wonald, who has Joshua been an a-hole to? He's back in farmland, away from the spotlight. Are the people from his town giving the scoop on his a-hole behavior?

  19. So, I like Joshua and Tenley. They don't get much camera time, nobody really talks about them, and they seem doomed, but their relationship is drama-free, natural, and light. I also like that they are almost always with each other in the background talking and that Joshua can't keep his hands off of her.

I wonder why things ended between them. Tenley doesn't communicate with him on Twitter whatsoever.

  20. I like Joshua, but that drug talk really concerns me. He brought it up so casually like it was a good topic of conversation with strangers. He did it twice not noticing that his audience was uncomfortable. I wish someone from those bothered groups had said something to him. They just clammed up while judging him. He and Tenley were sweet together though. I felt their attraction to each other and wonder how far things went with them.

  21. Kaitlyn was a sour bitch towards Nick tonight and I think, actually I'm sure, it has everything to do with Sean's jealousy.

I have to say I saw none of this on my television. Did ABC broadcast an alternate version into the homes of Nick fans? What I saw was a woman struggling to spare the feelings of a man but still make it clear that while she cared deeply for him she was in love with someone else. Nick signed up for this show twice, TWICE. He, more than Kaitlyn and Shawn, knows how it works because he went all the way before. If he was as in love with Kaitlyn as he said he was, would it have hurt less to be rejected earlier? He's still losing the woman he supposedly loves to his arch-nemesis on the show.

  22. Their next dance is a Cha Cha, for "My Jam" week.  ZZ Ward tweeted her to which she replied she hoped she could use her song. We don't know if it's for this week, but her tune "Put the Gun Down" would be a cool Cha Cha

Ha I stand corrected. The next song is Rumour Has it....Val mentioned that to Access Hollywood.   Rumer Has It.

Oh My... If Adele's "Rumour Has It" is her next song, that is not a Cha Cha song.

  23. I think all the pros do well with driven, competitive, strong partners. But not all pros are consistently gifted with those.

I remember everyone thought Hope Solo being an athlete would be a good dancer. She wasn't. Neither was Misty. Gladys Knight moved better than both of these "driven, competitive, strong" women. What I've found is that pros will always do well (not always win) with partners who have rhythym, musicality, and great personalities. No prior dance experience necessary.
