Does anyone know how early Netflix usually starts teasing/promoting their shows? It feels a bit early for a teaser poster if it's coming out late this year or early next year.

Sad about SaRa but saw it coming weeks ago. I'm hoping they'll bring her back early next season for an episode, just for a proper goodbye, if anything. I'm confused by the wording of both her and Shonda's statements though. "Time off" implies she might be back. Is it possible she's leaving to do something on Broadway and will make a return once that wraps up??
I hate to say it but I really did love this episode wholeheartedly. The sister scenes were just so much fun - proof that you don't need disaster and death to make the show enjoyable. This is what I want to see more of...compelling character and character-dynamic stories, with respect and honour given to the history of the show and its past characters/relationships. That opening scene with Alex and Meredith felt particularly heavy to me emotionally. The entire theme of "is there just one true love?" also felt like a meta commentary on the show itself, which has now split up basically all of their big MFEO couples - MerDer, Calzona, Izzex, Crowen. It felt like the perfect conversation for the show to be having as they head into next season. And speaking as someone who was livid when they killed Derek off, it really did get me thinking - maybe there is more than one love for everyone and maybe Meredith will have another great love. Ellen and Martin's chemistry was definitely present in this episode. At least I felt it. Obviously nothing can beat what Ellen and Patrick had, but I'm rooting for them. And that final scene with Maggie was the cherry on top, I think it'll lead to some really fun stuff for Ellen and Kelly (I still think they didn't explore their sister relationship enough before just jumping into it, I'll be glad to see some conflict between them).
This season and this finale fixed a lot of the wounds left over from season 11 for me. As someone who has watched from the pilot and complained about the show relentlessly, I think this season was a huge step up and I'm excited for season 13.

What if they pull a switcharoo and have Maggie and Nathan hook up and Meredith and Andrew. That would be so weird. Meredith as a cougar.

From everything we've heard, including how much Milo filmed and how much Matt (and Alan/Nick/Tanc) are filming *especially* for 'Fall', I'm suspecting a Rory/Logan endgame.
-
The Jo thing is probably that she's been applying for fellowships at other places.
Really curious about the church scenes though.

12x24 is apparently called "Family Affair", directed by Debbie Allen.

Does anyone hate the new location they use for the exteriors of the hospital? It looks nothing like it has the past 11 seasons.

I think Canning's scene at the end was the ultimate foreshadowing for the ending - they'll pull a switcharoo and Alicia will somehow end up going to jail in the series finale.

I find it weird that Bootsy is back, especially because he was only in season 2 of the show.
I'm glad Alex Borstein is back, and I almost feel like she'll be playing a brand new character again.
Odd that Sherilyn Fenn/Anna isn't coming back, I really thought they'd bring her back. And Liz/TJ not being there feels really strange to me because of how much they were in season 6.
-
Poor, poor Liz. She really will be the only one left not invited to the party. I can't recall if TJ is signed or not?
I don't think TJ is in it.
Wayne Wilcox (Marty) wasn't invited back either and he very much feels like a part of the GG family (the Palladinos love him, etc). Wish he was coming back esp. after his awful story in S7.

The "cliffhanger" thing re: the final four words makes me think that Rory telling Lorelai she's pregnant is a likely final scene.

The timeline is so strange, I haven't thought about it in a while. S1 - 3 were a single year, but after that most seasons have encompassed a year or more + the year-long time jump last year... so I'd say we've definitely gone at least 10 years.
Seasons 1-3: Year 1
Seasons 4-5: Year 2
Season 6: Year 3
Season 7: Year 4
Season 8: Year 5
Season 9: Year 6
Season 10: Year 7
Season 11: Year 8
Time Jump: Year 9
Season 12: Year 10
I'm still curious if they're gonna write in Stephanie and Jo taking their Boards at the end of this season or if they've lost track of what year they're in.

Don't know why but I still get the feeling that SaRa is exiting at the end of this season. I hope I'm wrong though because I do love Callie and I miss Calzona. Wish they'd announce the contracts so we can just know once and for all...

Again, would be inclined to agree if MC wasn't in multiple episodes with the LDB and Mitchum making appearances as well.I think its a little far fetched but not impossible. Couldn't Rory be traveling from Stars Hollow to New Haven in a 90 minute episode? If all 3 exes are in this; I'm going to wager that maybe Dean is in Stars Hollow? Or she could run into him in Hartford where he has moved when she visits Emily? See Logan at a Yale event. Talk or see Jess also in Stars Hollow because of Luke/Lorelai (if that is happening)? I mean in a long episode Rory driving around and on different days running into 3 exes is sitcom-my and clear plot points but to me it can make sense.
Dean and Jess are easily explained. They both have family in Stars Hollow. I just don't know how Logan's circle fits into this story 8 years later.

BTW I am in the camp that believes this is all a ruse, and Sookie most certainly is in the series... This was just a ruse that got out of hand.
Well you're setting yourself up for disappointment. She isn't in it.
I think Kathleen Wilhoite said something a while back that suggested there was bad blood there. As for TJ, unlike Jackson, he's not a sufficiently prominent character to warrant inclusion if his significant other has been written out.
To be fair to Marty, Lucy and Olivia aren't back, either.
Given that MM is on good terms with the other cast members, if there is bad blood I'm inclined to blame ASP.
Kathleen might've simply been implying that the reasons are different because MM is a huge star though. Clearly that's not an issue with her.
And I only mention Liz and TJ because a) there's other characters who are appearing in the revival that are much less significant and prominent than them and b) with the amount they were used in ASP's last season it's just odd she wouldn't bring them back. They had a surprising amount of screentime in season 6.
Lucy and Olivia would never be back. Amy and Dan didn't create those characters. But they did create Marty and they loved WW, so it's odd he wouldn't even have a cameo.
-
They don't look very much alike...however, it looks like they're shooting on a non-hospital set so it doesn't look like she's playing a patient. There is also this so it would be a cool thing if she actually did appear.
-
All it takes is one town meeting or event and you can see many characters at one time. I don't think it will take anything away from the 'regulars'
I would be inclined to agree except so many of the characters that have been announced to be returning don't fit into the same world/storylines at all. Having Logan, Dean and Jess all in one episode feels super unrealistic and strange.

I just can't believe that DIGGER is back but Marty, Liz and TJ aren't. What?
-
Seriously. You figure ASP must really hate the people who don't get invites.
Yeah, I actually find it really strange that Digger is coming back, yet Liz and TJ aren't...especially given how frequently they appeared in season 6.
Melissa is a different story, to me at least.

Chris Eigeman being back (like what??) really makes me think the Tristin character IS the Tristin from Chilton. They seem to be bringing back every single character ever on the show........
-
Casting news:
1) Stacey Oristano (Truly from Bunheads) is in the revival.
2) Chris Eigeman (Jason/Digger) is back too...wtf. They really are bringing everyone back.

Grey's will be at 338 episodes at the end of it's 15th season, should each season continue to have 24 episodes...
Shonda DID once flat out say she wanted to beat ER. I'm having a hard time finding it now but I will continue looking.
