I agree with all the commenters suggesting that Carrie and Aiden weren't right for each other then, but could be now. It frustrates me after people have divorced to hear them suggest they "never loved" the person. It's usually just retconning to justify the end of the relationship, but to hear a widow who wrote a book about grieving say that? It makes no sense. I also don't think Che was appropriate to ask about why it didn't work out given that they had just met Aiden.

So I was just talking to my husband about this. First of all, I think we all knew there would be a screw up with the invitations after that anvil of a conversation thanking Herbert for taking over the invitations. Second of all, whoever mentioned Succession was spot on. Now, that show is in a whole other galaxy of leagues, BUT, it does show how they could build a funny storyline around party planning (Ken's birthday where he keeps being managed away from his most d-bag instincts) without being completely insuntingly stupid. Hiring a party planner is not out of reach for many people and it certainly would be SOP for this group. I think they're trying to keep them likeable and relatable by scrubbing away some aspects of their wealth, but it doesn't quite work because their wardrobes, apartments, and social lives don't match.
Also agree with everyone who mentioned the numerous red flags with the Miranda / Che / Lyle (?) threesome. No discussion ahead of time about what the parameters are, everyone's intoxicated, cheap humour of Miranda being excluded etc.
Oh, and if Che and Lyle got married in Vegas, is that even really a legal marriage? I thought that was more for the fun aspect?

Fatphobia is alive and well and it doesn't surprise me that Che would be feeling it, even if they're super confident and body positive. What didn't work for me was how Miranda's insecurity about their relationship being only sex played out. Che is super enthusiastic, eager for the strap on. The phone rings and Miranda overhears Che comment about some relationships are just about sex and suddenly projects that on to their relationship? It made no sense. It was soap opera levels of poor communication and I hate when shows do that.

The kids just cannot get out of their own way. Your Dad is a prick but he's not wrong about the deal. I guess they assume Pierce will wait around for them to get rhe money from a delayed sale?

I can suspend disbelief about lots of things, but yes, it should have been that simple. Also, nobody seemed terribly concerned that Edgar could escalate to hurting children (putting aside the real victims in the material). Why the need to protect him?

I'm a horrible person, but I'm sick of Rafael and his backstory. I thought most of the videos were confusing or embarrassing but I'm old.
I don't know if these designers are inconsistent or the show is rigged to create ups and downs by fiddling with the timing for example.

This! I was thinking the same thing. The "anything goes" festival brief didn't provide enough guidance obviously. Plus they must not have enough time to do a good job.

I know it's a stupid "reality" show but the Kevin and Kim stuff is so ridiculous. He owes her literally nothing in terms of explaining his actions with that other woman he hooked up with. Is he supposed to be a monk while she strings him along? He also needs to just move on to someone else. This is like a high school relationship.
This show could be an advertisement for the dangers of too much plastic surgery.

The editor was talking about the book being a stocking stuffer. Is it spring and it's for next Christmas? Timeline is so confusing.
I'm no Che fan, but they didn't exactly promise Miranda a rose garden. They banged in the kitchen and left it on a "see you around" basis. If I was Che, I'd be shitting my pants to hear Miranda tell me she loves me. Horrible judgement.
Oh, and asking your wife to do something / give your wife advice is not mansplaining.
Totally agree that a school this elite would have an actual m/c and probably hire an auctioneer too. The plot contrivance that this woman who is the charming leader of the mothers can't work a crowd is beyond silly.

Not the most unrealistic thing, but doesn't Rip not exist legally? Also, I thought Catholic ceremonies had to happen in a church? Beth looked like a 15 year old's idea of sexy - in other words super cheap.
Fast forwarded all the KC stuff. I couldn't remember how this white dude got himself invited into ceremony. It made no sense.

The horse stuff gets old but it's on point for the show. The Tate bathtub scene was super cringey, didn't advance plot or character, and left me wondering if these writers have ever been around children? Our youngest is 10 and we haven't bathed her for a couple of years. Proximity of course but not toweling her off. The Jimmy stuff is equally cringey, though sex on a couch with a recently broken back/neck is hella impressive.

Did they explain how Carrie, charged with involvement in killing the president and a bunch of other treasonous stuff, is wandering around and having repeated contact with Jenna, a witness against her? I thought the season started off strong but it's all kind of falling apart.

The Brian storyline is like a perfect storm of so many narratives:
a. He's a nice kid. Just a little quiet.
b. He was just "following along", which ends with him handling a dead kid's body (!!).
c. Good family so the hoops are not as onerous as they might have been.
Do we know Brian's backstory in terms of when they adopted him? Was he an infant, and/or did he experience abuse early in life?
I don't know how Tench keeps this on the DL. I also can't imagine how I would react in the doctor's situation. My co-worker divulges his kid manipulated a dead child's body? Yikes.
Manson stuff was great.

The case was fairly interesting, but I hated the way they portrayed the ADA and her interactions with Bull. She might be young, but the woman has gone to law school. His infantilization and her crying at the end were ridiculous.

I admire players who have such a breadth of knowledge. He's obviously weird, but aren't we all in our own way? He seems to have studied DD board placement too. I am looking forward to seeing how far he goes.
