  1. I don't know if they knew they were told they were going to lose. I don't think they knew much, except they weren't the "stars" of the show and it would only be one episode. So I guess they knew they wouldn't be winning anything and moving on anywhere. My godson was super "meh" about the whole thing, but he's a crabby teenager. ;) I think they were excited to have the experience and the exposure for the group. The kids all sort of know each other from the real competition circuit anyway, so it was probably kind of fun for them.
  2. It was a very long day for the kids...I think more than eight hours of taping and hanging around for the performances. Each group had to do their song twice so they could get camera angles. We were sitting one row down and to the left of all the groups. Without knowing much about them at that point (last summer), I noticed HV were completely "on" the entire time, very camera ready and aware. ST seemed much more like regular kids. I was in an audience shot cheering, but they edited me as cheering for either HV or ST (can't remember) when I was really cheering for my godson. Boo! And yeah, there is no "competition." My godson's group is Unaccompanied Minors, and they were simply asked to participate in the episode. This whole thing is just made up for the show. Although there was a real competition a few weeks ago and my godson's group beat Stay Tuned! :) Oh, and during a break my friend and I talked to Deke about Pitch Perfect and he was simply the nicest guy. He talked and talked until production told him to sit down. Diana just fussed around.
  3. Looking forward to any chat about this week's episode. I was at the taping and my godson was in one of the "competing" groups. I've been watching the show since the beginning so I'm a fan, but uggggghhh.
