    Just a 20-game series?
Perhaps it will eventually be released in the US, like the UK Ghosts has been.

I'm guessing the 20-game series is a pilot. I wouldn't be surprised if it's picked up for a longer run if it's successful.

Does anyone know the timing of the filming schedule and how it lines up with Majors’s arrest? Is it possible his death in this episode was a way to off a problematic actor and either rid themselves of the character or open a new way to reintroduce the character with a different actor?

No, Majors' arrest happened weeks before the WGA strike started. There would have been no time for them to rewrite or reshoot anything, and obviously with the SAG strike ongoing they still can't have done anything.

I'm not sure if this is an ignorant question or one that hasn't been answered yet. Does anyone know what the temporal loom does anyway? Does it create a sacred timeline from many multiverses? What was the essence of time and the multiverses before the loom? What is so horrible about its destruction outside of those in the TVA?

The mythology of this season is just baffling to me. I have no idea why the characters are doing what they're doing or the consequences of them failing.

Ke Huy Quan's charm is the only thing keeping it even slightly afloat.

All in all, I really like the show. I want more, but I realise that can't be less than a year away if at all.

Mando S4 was written pre-strike, so that'll likely film next year and air in 2025; Ahsoka S2, if it happens, is unlikely before 2026 at the rate they're currently putting things out.

  5. I really liked this one. Lots of jokes, and a decent plot.

Has there been any reason for the episode being written under a pseudonym ("Nona di Spargement")? It's been confirmed that the actual writer is Ken Keeler.

Wyatt doesn't know how to roast, so Sherm agrees to help him. Noah tries to make things right with a disgruntled customer. Nicky dates a sleep talker. And there's wine.

    Original airdate 4/7/23

Another Fay-less episode. The Anthony hat runner was funny, but odd. It felt like they had written the rest of the episode and needed an Anthony plot that could fit in to three minutes of screentime.

I assume we'll see Noah's new employee again? It was nice to see him at work.

  7. I loved it. I liked how they constantly referred back to episodes of the show without it feeling inaccessible (Mickey's backstory, Felix's homicidal girlfriend (and his treehouse), The One-Eyed Snakes, etc).

I did think the identity of the murderer was fairly obvious from the start, considering the screentime given to such a minor character as Grover. I didn't even realize he was a pre-existing character until looking it up right now - he was in Roamin' Bob-iday in Season 9, and Copa-Bob-bana in Season 11, which would have been probably produced after the movie was written, as it was originally scheduled for 2020. I'd have liked for them to have added him in to a few more recent episodes, just so that he didn't stand out so much (and I like David Wain).

On April 8, 2022, Discovery, Inc., purchased WarnerMedia from AT&T for the very Twitter-y sum of $43 billion. And on April 26, Variety reported that the new mutant company known as Warner Bros. Discovery will be shutting down scripted television series development at two WarnerMedia cable channels, TBS and TNT. Discovery has yet to announce how these cuts will affect already-existing scripted series at the channels, including The Last O.G., Miracle Workers, Chad, and American Dad at TBS and Snowpiercer and Animal Kingdom (which has its final season in June) at TNT.

No word on how this affects AD yet, but not good news.

That was my response as well. I even watched the credits to confirm it was her. Was her involvement kept a secret or did I miss the announcement she was in this?

Yeah, critics were asked to keep it a secret, which not all of them did: https://episodicmedium.substack.com/p/review-heartstopper-meet-season-1

So Netflix’s screener email had a warning that I wasn’t allowed to reveal who was cast as Nick’s mother before they announced it, and I said to myself “Who in the world could it possibly be in such a relatively small part that it would be such a big deal?” And then I heard Olivia Colman’s voice, and I was like “Oh, okay, fair.” Definitely made me move faster through screeners knowing that she’d be playing out scenes from later in the series. (And unfortunately, one outlet did ignore this note on the screeners, so many of you didn’t get to experience it as a surprise like I did).

I think there’s more season left, and we just hit the halfway point. The other path is that Adult Swim is putting the Chicken out to pasture. Or barbecue. Or something similarly permanent.

Ah, some places referred to it as the full season before it began, but this article says midseason finale: https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/robot-chickens-nerd-has-to-cope-with-a-new-kind-of-halloween-in-this-exclusive-clip/

Glad there's more coming, it's been one of the better recent seasons.

For anyone with DVRs . . . I think a Halloween special is airing Thursday night, and it doesn’t have an episode number, so you might miss recording it.

The Halloween special was also the season finale.

The season's episode numbering is confusing, as the Adult Swim site counts the Archie special from May as the first episode, meaning Ep. 1 is Ep. 2. etc.

I have the same issue.  While watching last night’s Closer Look on YouTube I saw a number of commenters say they have the same issue.  When I first discovered the problem I unsubscribed then subscribed thinking that would fix it.  It did not so I’m guessing it’s an issue on their end like you mentioned.

When you're uploading a video, there's a box for "Publish to subscriptions feed and notify subscribers." It's checked by default, but I assume someone at NBC has, either by design or accident, had them uncheck that box on most of the videos they upload.
