  1. From the PEOPLE article -

No one else thought this was interesting? I think this is the first time I've heard Jill talk about taking her midwife exam. Previously I've only heard her hint at wanting to finish her studies and now, it SOUNDS like she has set an actual timetable for when that will happen. I sincerely hope she makes it.

Her lay midwife apprentice permit expires the end of August so I'm assuming she will be taking the exam before then.  If she goes through with it then I hope she makes it too.

  2. a "paramedic" commented on pickles  "ambulances are usually only called to a homebirth when an emergency transfer to a hospital is required. Frankly this isn't a good sign. A standby ambulance wouldn't make much sense even for filming purposes, but it definitely would not have its red lights on. That rig is in emergency mode."

hope all is well with jill and baby dilly.

  3. I think Jessa's friend Anna on the recent show highlighted for me why I still think Jessa isn't a 24in pant size. Anna looks 23-24in/00-0. Jessa does not, imo, unless we're talking size 0 mall store/vanity sizing pants. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if she had size 0 dresses...but I don't think they're Rag and Bone or even higher end. I think she could squeeze into some that contain spandex, but they aren't going to be too comfortable, imo. She might fit in a Seven brand 24in. They run baggy. But, considering I think she has some hips, I think she could pull off a smaller size dress better than the same size pants. If Jessa came to Nordstrom with me to buy jeans, I'd pull 25, 26 off the rack. Anna would get the 24.

R&B, Paige and J Brand jeans have some stretch in them. so if Jessa is a size 2 then 25-26 may be a good fit for her.  I'm not sure if Anna is a 23/24 (size 0) though.

off topic:  if anyone has a TJ Maxx nearby with a Runway section they usually have an extra 50% off clearance on their already 50% off clearance yellow tag the last week of January and August.   maybe a little earlier or later depending on the location.  I've gotten R&B, Paige and J Brand Jeans for $15 each and they usually run $150 and up.

  4. At the age of 7 I learned to wash and then cook rice over a gas stove and then stand just near enough the stove to watch until all the boiling bubbles disappeared before lowering the fire and still do it the same way to this day.  Well, except standing there watching until all the boiling bubbles disappeared =).

After her first attempt at cooking rice from a box I hope Jill at least gets it now.

  5. Are you talking about the (myth) "rule" that a couple has a year to send a thank you for a wedding gift??  Total BS, made up by a lazy/rude bride and groom.  You don't "have" a year to express thanks for any other type of gift, why would you get a year just because it's a wedding gift?

I don't know of the 1 yr rule.  J&D send theirs out sometime in December I think so 6 months for them.

  6. Does anyone actually believe Jerick will send you thank you card for the baby gifts?  They haven't had time to send thank yous for the wedding gifts (and I'm pretty sure they didn't send those anyway.)

I didn't want to go back to when it was discussed here but they did send out personalized wedding thank you cards. Lol, I actually thought that they were sent out late but learned that they were sent within the time frame.

  7. I'm getting over a cold I got from Sin City and today was the first day that I haven't felt stuffed up but after reading your last post wanderwoman....well I'm all stuffed again.  But I'm not complaining!  I'm so happy that Maisie has a wonderful and caring team.  ((((HUGS))))

  8. And yet, like I said, Alyssa Bates doing it isn't hypocrisy? I don't think either are!

Maybe Jill is just loosened up a bit since her mother or father weren't there. Plus, the idea of modesty is to keep away impure thoughts. I guess a pregnant belly highlights that this married couple had sex, but so can just saying - yes, I have kids. I don't think a pregnant belly is sexual. I mean...people have all types of fetishes. But I don't think a high cut sports t-shirt over a pregnant belly is trying to say, "come hither, my boy toys...and you sexy lady, standing in the corner." I mean....I'm not going to slit shame people either way. But, I can also say that I don't particularly suppose Jill is looking amorous or anything by her clothing choices.

I don't think Jill can win with anything she wears.  Too tight, too big, too frumpy, too long, too short.  She'll probably be criticized or modesty would be mentioned if she wore a sleeveless top like Alyssa Bates or if she wore a sheer top like Jessa with her bra showing through.  A lot think Alyssa looks great in her sleeveless top and jeans (I think so too!) and I don't think it was brought up where I saw the pic of Jessa and her sheer top.

  9. I'm a little overweight and love to wear stretch jeans that look like they may be too small for me but are actually comfortable. ; )  So what I'm saying is that even if Jill's clothes look small/tight they still may be comfortable for her.

  10. I'm not following. Why is Jill blasted for going to a sports game unlike her family once married but someone like Alyssa Bates is praised for wearing jeans and sleeveless shirts unlike her family once married?

And, why should Jill have to care so much about what she looks like? She's, what, 8 months pregnant? Put on a skirt and show some team spirit by putting on a team shirt. What's so trailer park about that? (and if not meant to those living in a mobile home, then whom precisely?)

I do think the other women putting basketballs up their shirts is strange because it seems like they're promoting "everyone be pregnant!" which is just...too much. But, I think probably they meant it to come off silly.

But in regard to going to a sports game and Jill's attire, with respect, I'm really failing to understand the logic and emotion behind being offended.

I'm so lost right now.  I think Jill looks absolutely fine.  She looks no different than any other woman who is 8 months pregnant, but maybe I just know some dowdy people?  I kind of like she doesn't seem to obsess about how she looks. The skirt is probably super comfortable right now and she probably threw on an OSU shirt to show some team spirit.  We really can't ask for anything more. The girl can't catch a break.

I'm not even going to touch on the fact that we are complaining because she's at a college basketball game, sitting amongst normal people. Some people on Instagram even said she toured a frat house.  We should be rejoicing, people!

There are things that Jill says or does that annoys me but, not what she's wearing at 8 months pregnant.  What she wears at this point is probably what is comfortable for her.  That matters, more than any criticism she may get.

I'm happy that she went to the basketball game with Derick because exposure to anything other than Duggarville to me is a good thing.

  11. Jill did seem to be a little taken aback by their reactions.  But in her family and social group (using that word loosely), your sole purpose in life is to have babies.  "Babies are like flowers, you can never have too many" is her mother's favorite line.  She's probably never witnessed anyone appear less than thrilled and not praising the Lord for the newest blessing.

Edit:  Derick and Jill apparently went to an OSU women's basketball game today.  Derick also dressed up as Pistol Pete.  Sorry if these are huge or don't show up, I'm not sure how to post pictures really. :)

This is a pic from a fan's IG.  Derick dressed as Pistol Pete at the game.  Is that the TLC film crew in the second pic?  If it is then maybe it will be shown on 19KAC.

  12. So apparently it's the year anniversary that Derick asked JB for Jill's hand in marriage (according to his instagram).

Also I'm confused about what Jill is wearing to the gym

    https://instagram.com/p/zV52oZrs_3/

Even though I'm impressed that she's staying active, hope she keeps it up after the birth.

    [Edit for spelling]

It looks like a coat but, maybe not the same one she wore in the pic she was shown wearing pants at the gym.

  13. I thought it was sad when I heard Jill say that when she was a kid, she had to grab some food and eat it in the bathroom to make sure she had some,

Did I hear correcty?  In one of Mechelle's talking heads I thought I heard her say that it's been only two weeks since Jill and Derick's wedding and now they have to plan another.  IIRC Jessa and Ben got engaged on August 14.  Hmmmm....

  14. Re: Jessa's culinary skills....

The picture I saw of her turkey on the cookie sheet was raw. I was under the impression that she cooked that thing on it also. With their wedding registry miles long, yes, I, too, would assume she had 5 complete sets of high end pots and pans to choose from for every occasion.

Once again, Michelle is "full of it" as she went to lengths to specifically tell us how she invented jurisdictions to teach all of her daughters all of the things that they would need to know when they are married as that will be their career in life... how did Jessa not learn to cook at all? That is a main skill that a traditional wife should have from the get go. Shows me they are full of it.

I also don't know why these married girls have a fixation to photograph food and beverages all the time.. does anyone else find that strange?

BTW, if Jessa's oven was a dripping mess after that monstrosity came out of the oven, I'm quite confident that she did NOT clean the oven..that would be Ben's job as he proved to be so good at cleaning things, remember the toilet?

I went on a 2 week tour to South Korea with a group of 34 including our tour bus driver and guide and ummmm.....every single one of us took pictures of the food.  As soon as the food was served, out came the cameras, lmao.

I really don't find it strange that Jill and Jessa are photgraphing food and drinks and posting them on social media.  I have friends that do the same constantly.

  15. US Weekly ripping off the pic is confirmed by the fact that they claim the shower happened yesterday, when we all know it happened LAST FUCKING WEEK! If I could comment on their stupid site, I would tell them to get their facts straight before posting shit as fact.

It also looks like US Weekly is recycling things that they reported last year.  Like the part where Jill told US that "We are super excited" was from September or October of  2014.

  16. I dunno. The rest of her still looks slim; it's all belly. And yeah, it's a huge 'un! :D

How about a Baby Pool? Date, weight, length. Keep in mind the due date is 3/24, and I feel for her these last few weeks.

    I'll start: 3/21; 9 lbs. 2 oz.; 21 1/2"

I think she's all belly too.

As for the baby pool.......3/23, 8 lbs. 15 oz, 22".

  17. I agree and now that Jessa and Jill have their own households they can control what they buy and eat. They don't have to worry about cooking for 20 on a limited budget.

I noticed on one of Jessa's Instagram posts she mentions jogging with Ben. I wonder if she wears pants to do that, I don't know how you'd run in a skirt without it riding up your legs.

Maybe she wore a running skirt with leggings?  Looks a lot more comfortable then if it was a regular skirt.
