  1. I really did like this season. But I felt the last few episodes were a let down. Kudos for Nick finally coming out publicly but it felt anticlimactic with a simple IG post. I did love all the family scenes, with Nick’s brother and Dad. And obviously Olivia Colman is a queen.
i wish they went more into Charlie’s apparent eating disorder. And the cutting kinda came out of nowhere. I wanted a much longer convo about all of this between Nick and Charlie.
I’m ace so I was SO here for Issac figuring out his feelings have a word.
    more for next season please!

Thank you for starting this thread.

I wanted to love this show.  Dan Levy is a treasure, and brunch is my favorite meal of the week.

However, it's just so...forced?  I know it's trying to recreate the vibe of GBBO, but I thought Netflix's recent Drink Masters did a better job at camaraderie with its cast.

There's just not enough of the food. Six episodes in, and it's barely registering with me.  I'm not sure why I'm still watching.

I also am not a fan of Sohla.

All of this. Forced, is the perfect word. Both the judges and contestants seem so forced. The contestants with their million jokey comments when presenting their food.  This is a cooking show, the food should speak for itself. Just say what your dish is and zip it.

Sonny can forgive someone who murdered his husband and left him where their daughter could have found him.  Yet the guy who made himself to attractive for Sony to resist then sued for sexual harassment is unforgivable.

Totally! Sonny was in tears thinking about what Leo did to him yet he quickly forgives Ben when Will becomes besties with his jail bunkie. I can't wrap my mind around this.

First episode I've watched this season. Lordy lord, so many "likes" I wanted to gouge my eyes out. I might try to watch next week, but I don't know if I can sit through more of this:

C: "Like, I thought you would, like, understand but now I find out that, like, you're, like, not my person and I'm, like, I'm just done...."

S: "Well, I'm sorry, but like, I just thought you know, like, if you were, like, serious you would have, like, told me and, like I believe everything you are saying but, like I don't know, like, how could you, like, do that...."

    *********

"Well, I am in love with the other women, Susie. But I love you the most!"  Just what every woman wants to hear.

It was Gabby that did my head in with the likes.  Then I couldn't stop noticing they all were saying like!

I’m only one episode in to the show but yes, it’s being added to my “hate-watching” list of shows.  Anyone who puts more than a half second of thought into it knows that an investment is a better use of your funds than a party, no matter how meaningful the party is.  So the attraction of this show is seeing couples who have already completely made up their minds about what they want act like they’re open to persuasion on a reality show to get a few freebies thrown into whatever they’ve already going to do.  Or more accurately, the attraction for me is shaking my head at how extravagantly over-engineered Pinterest makes everything—obviously with all the extras on the wedding side (Trolleys!  Food trucks!!) but also on the home buying side too (Man caves! Dressing salons!!!)  It’s not that these things aren’t fun, but rather the way these shows present them as almost non-negotiable components that leaves it wide open for me to mock.  And in that sense there’s TONS here for me to work with haha!

I get wanting to provide transportation for your guests but a trolley and a food truck was just too much for me! Go to a diner or bar after the reception!

  6. I’m so disappointed the cute older lesbian couple chose to have their “big, fat, gay wedding” with the same amount of guest during the pandemic. I know they wanted to share their day with the LGBTQIA+ community (which I’m apart of) but ugh, I just can’t get over people being selfish during the pandemic.

They live together and are raising Parker together.  What would change if they got married other than certain benefits (she should really want Jonah to have health insurance) and inheritance issues?  And making a commitment to someone whom she says she loves?

I feel really bad for Parker losing both his "fathers". When Amy's not available, it will be Emma or strangers.  I don't even understand how Amy is able to move so far away from Adam.  And didn't Amy say that Emma had a new boyfriend just last episode? She must be thrilled to be leaving.

So now Jonah needs a new place to live? Will he need to move back in with Garrett?

Glenn's income is going to shoot way up again.  They'll probably never mention it, though. (Or the fact that he left the job because he was working crazy hours.)

Nowadays, people have really long engagements.  She didn't have to marry him right away.  I do wonder if Jonah was hoping for a child with Amy, who may be done with all that.  That would be a very good reason to break up, but, instead, she loves him, trusts him to co-parent Parker, but doesn't want to commit to him?

Even though we never saw Jonah raising Parker, we still know what that connection feels like because Jonah is such a good guy. I don't like how they didn't bring this up more. Jonah is losing a family not just Amy. And WORD, no mention of how Adam plays in her move.

I appreciate that Bennett is trying to be respectful when discussing wedding night expectations! I'm really not feeling this ice cream/freezer analogy though

Most sex jokes go over my head. But this one really got me, I literally thought he wanted to eat ice cream with Amelia in their room.

That’s what makes me hesitant to watch this. I read the Massey biography of Catherine and I don’t want to spend 10 hours yelling “that’s not what happened!”

Well that part is at least true.

They also got right the horse rumor right.

Every time Peter said his father was Peter the Great I wanted to throw something at the TV.

Always appreciate non-straight Miggy references! "Your thing has hunks?"

Will & Angie are still pretty cringe as a romantic prospect, but Tarran Killam really won me over with the sincerity of his pining this week. I wasn't expecting the scene with Derek, which just made me feel bad for Derek in that he knows he'll probably lose her and his son if Will lets any feelings slip. He's a great guy, unlike most douchey rival love interests, so it's hard to root for Will to break them up.

At least they skipped the bitter crying and hating each other phase with Douglas/Poppy, but it's odd to see them nostalgically reference their relationship that ended last week. They were talking like they dated in high school.

Yes! I did a legit spit take when Miggy said, “your thing has hunks?”
I loved how they, out of the blue (to the audience) made Miggy bi but on the show, the characters were like, “oh, right we remember some of your past boyfriends”

Taran killed it this week, I finally bought the Will/Angie paring, even though I’m still not sure I want it.

i hope this show gets renewed

I almost forgot this one throwaway line. When Jack was listing all the ways the understudies can be taken out, one of the suggestion was a respiratory infection. Yikes! I know this was filmed way in advance but I'm surprised they didn't edit that line out.

Right! I caught that line too. They finished in December, plenty of time to edit that line out.

What? Jessica would bang Barnett in a heartbeat and love it. She's not into Mark. That's it. She has no underlying condition.

Oh you meant Kelly. It's possible.

Yes, Kelly! I totally meant Kelly. Obviously, Jessica wouldn’t need more time to sleep with Matt if he had picked her...hahaha

  13. I feel like Kelly may be demisexual, where she doesn’t feel sexual attraction until there is a strong emotional bond... and with her past lack of reaching orgasim and needing to trust Kenny more, my ace spectrum-gar went off.

i find it so interesting that Matt is so different from the rest of his family. Not knowing him at all, obvi I do admire his devotion for his family... I just don’t think the Amber\Barnett family is gonna let Matt\Amber last
