Yeah these writers are one step away from writing in Tamarian. The only saving grace is that they still use complete sentences.

Using an obscure reference to complain about obscure references...

  2. Threw on a random Chopped episode this week.  One contestant said she was a former Olympian.  I wasn't sure if it was Dawn cuz she looked a lot different.  When she got eliminated in the 2nd for not being able to finish plating I was 100% sure it was her.

I was at the HK restaurant in Las Vegas last week. You couldn't eat there if you didn't have a cell phone to view the menu with. I hope they have brought back regular menus now that LV is back to no restrictions. If not, they will lose a lot more of old fogey customers such as me.

Seen every season of Hell's Kitchen.  I know the menu by heart.

I've never watched this show before so I really enjoyed this episode.  I just feel grossed out looking at 4 people eating from the same dish during COVID.

I read the 1st 10 episodes were filmed before production was shutdown.  It'll be interesting to see if the final 8 episodes feel dramatically different or if they acknowledge the Pandemic at all.

He’s shown up on at least one other show (Bar Rescue) as an “expert” - and somehow I can’t picture Bob Taffer saying, “so here’s my culinary consultant, Blue Jay...”.  Beyond that, it has been (yikes!) a decade since that season - maybe he’s trying to act more grown up, blue hair not withstanding.

There was another Jason that season so TPTB might've forced him to go by "Jay".  The "Blue Jay" angle is why they didn't ask the other Jason.

Yes, Natalie/Jeremy were certainly a duo (apparently, not a tight enough one for Natalie to gift Jeremy an immunity idol though)...but you gotta also think LONG-TERM.

Natalie could only give the idol to someone on the losing tribe.

  7. Ordered my Cup Board Pro from William Sonoma on Jan. 29th. Estimated delivery was Feb. 24th. Now it says Jun. 15th?!

While it was a nice story and everything I really wish the kids got a deal that didn't involve the Sharks giving away their profits to charity. This product is a slam dunk and they are still having trouble fulfilling orders?  As Mark Cuban likes to say, "They need skin in the game."

The way Jamal was staring at her through that act was REALLY funny.  He showed no empathy, just straightforward cynicism.

I was sure he was going to call her out.

This is something I don't get.

In the first episode, Rob acted like the Olympian swimmer Elizabeth was the Dumbest Person Alive for not realizing that if she hesitated long enough Rob would sweeten the pot.  Why?  Why is it valuable to take a long time to answer a question?  That really annoyed me.  I guess I would understand if he made it explicit that it's good to nOT TRUST information you're given in the show, but he didn't.  Also, the information that Jeff gives the contestants is usually straightforward with no "tricks".  Yes, the other contestants lie, but not Jeff.  So I don't really get why Boston Rob was acting like Elizabeth was the world's biggest moron for not getting that Rob would sweeten the pot.  How----- would she have possibly guessed

She didn't have to guess but she should have at least thought harder and longer before jumping at the opportunity. Instead she admitted that because she's an athlete she loves challenges and competition.

Compare that to Kellie tonight. She was playing for an advantage right when they read the IOTI disclaimer and the point of IOTI was to outplay these All Star players. She might not have known that she could negotiate but she did take the time to weigh her options and in the end that's what helped her.

Rob and Sandra have played 7 times between them. They know how to read people. Elizabeth came to island acting like a starstruck noob. Kellie came off as a "smarty pants" and looked like she wasn't paying attention. Rob guessed that she wouldn't jump at the 1st opportunity but incorrectly betted that she couldn't answer 3 of the 5.

I liked it!  And I know it's not a popular opinion, but I LOVE ME SOME BOSTON ROB!!!  seeing him and Sandra and her snark made me love the episode all the more!

You know I've been thinking the next twist in Survivor needs to be : Survivor back to basics, and they need to do the game as they did the very first season (they can reveal the votes at the end) but take away all the idols and stuff, it will FREAK ppl out!

It's obviously not an unpopular opinion or else they wouldn't keep bringing him back.
