5 p.m. episodes-

You're Young and Mumbling, I'm Old and Deaf -Plaintiffs Palmer Rosenberg and her daughter Versha'e Rosenberg are suing defendant/mother of teen car thief Tenaya McDonald for car damages, stolen money, and something else.    Car is in both plaintiff's names, when their son/brother (he's 13) had one defendant teen stay the night, and claim defendant teen took the keys and their car.

Brother / plaintiff  Vertrell Rosenberg stole the car keys, and money, and let the other 13 year-old drive.    Defendant teen driver, 12 years old, claims plaintiff brother stole the keys and money.    Brian Bickham (defendant) claims he wasn't at plaintiff's house, then says plaintiff Vertrell picked him up on the way to McDonald's.      Defendant teen  claims plaintiff brother gave him the keys and the money.  Both teens need to stop twisting their hair, it's driving me nuts.

Defendant teen was picked up by plaintiff brother on the sidewalk,  Brother/plaintiff took the car, stole the money, and they spent the plaintiff money at McDonald's.

Car was wrecked, and it's all on video, but as JJ says they were wearing seat belts (yes, just like the barrel of cheese balls were in the classic drunk driving case).

Nothing is getting through to defendant, but plaintiff teen looks like maybe something is getting through his skull, and I hope so.    I expect to see defendant teen back on the show a lot.    I hope plaintiff teen doesn't follow that path, because he really seemed to get what JJ was saying.

Plaintiff claims keys were in a locked room, that brother broke into.    The video of the village idiot driving is played.    When plaintiff mother saw the teens driving, the defendant teen driver took off backwards, and crashed the car.  JJ says both teens are responsible, and since car only had liability (or not).

(Judging from warrants and arrests after this case, Vertrell learned nothing).

Officer Byrd isn't amused by the litigants bickering after the case deci

 The plaintiffs get $2500.

Bedbugs, Rats and Parties -Plaintiff/former landlord Michael Kerwin suing defendant/former tenant Timothy Ruzzo for unpaid rent.   Plaintiff was renting out a loft area, in a warehouse space, accessed only by ladder /stairs to a college student.    There was only one bathroom, and it wasn't in the loft.    Landlord was shocked when defendant moved out after two months, after seeing the accommodations.     $1600 a month was the rent (it's a high rent area).           Defendant wanted to move because of partying, various roommates.    Sharing a bathroom, and kitchen.     Defendant also claims there were rats in the warehouse, and bedbugs also, and claims there were many 'roommates' moving in and out.

Plaintiff is not getting the unpaid rent, case dismissed.

4 p.m. episodes-

Case of the Missing Angel Statue-Plaintiff Janie Cato hired painter Yvonne Brindeiroto paint mirror frames, claims she was paying $165.  However, defendant/painter says the paint cost over $165, and $30 an hour for the work.   Plaintiff wants an angel statue back, but never paid the defendant.    Mirror was finished by artist, but plaintiff disputes the price.

However, plaintiff had another estimate to paint two mirrors for $1800.  Defendant actually painted five mirrors for the plaintiff.   Defendant was given an angel statue by plaintiff, and she sold it.

Case dismissed, since plaintiff gave the defendant the angel statue in lieu of paying her bills, and defendant accepted the statue, and resold it.

Storage Battles-Plaintiffs Greg and Becky Danelz suing and defendants   Brandon and Karrin Buckman were going into business together to buy storage units, and resell items from the unitis in a small store.    Defendants were to work in the store, but man alleges that plaintiff was rotten to him.

Defendant swears money wasn't a loan from plaintiff, but an advance to buy stock for the store.  Plaintiff and defendant worked at the flea market selling, but stopped.

$1k to plaintiff, since they never paid defendant for his work.

Jealousy-Fueled Breakup-Plaintiff  Kiara Lee suing ex-boyfriend Calvin Craig for vandalism, stolen property, and unpaid rent.   They moved in together, both signed the lease, and then fought and he moved out.  She claims defendant vandalized her car.   (Why do all people who move in together have more TVs in one apartment than I've owned in my entire life?).

Plaintiff says a neighbor said some woman was in her apartment with Love Muffin, resulting fight was when he moved out, with his clothes and two TVs.

Plaintiff gets $700 for two TVs, but nothing for car damage because her phone dissolved or something.

4 p.m. episodes-

Dice Throwing Disaster-Plaintiff Spring Townsend suing defendant/former friend Sheena Brown for the cost of a TV that plaintiff claims defendant's six-year-old, Deshawn,  threw dice at a TV, and broke it. Plaintiff claims a visiting six year old (one of nine or ten kids being watched by her 13 year old daughter) is accused of causing $2000 in damage by throwing dice at a TV, and TV screen cracked.

Defendant mother claims her kid didn't do it, and that she never saw the damage.    (From my experience, a flat screen can have internal damage that doesn't show until you turn it on).   The TV was a gift from a boyfriend, and a refurbished one, and is worth $350.

$350 to plaintiff.

Burning Down the Trailer-Plaintiff /trailer owner Judy Esperanza is suing neighbors/Paul Brandner and Judy Russell who started his RV at the storage place, and her trailer burned down.  The storage place is fenced, but not covered (Lake Havasu, California side).

Plaintiff never registered or titled the trailer in her name, and it was always on private property, so no insurance either.   Trailer was purchased $2300, and plaintiff wants $4,000 for it,   Plaintiff just doesn't answer what JJ wants, and keeps trying to say it's worth a lot more than $2300.

Defendants' RV was registered, but no insured, and only went from storage to the camp ground.  Plaintiff registered trailer after the fire.

(I wouldn't have given plaintiff a penny.  Trailer wasn't in her name, she had no insurance, and no claim to any payment).  (At the end, Defendant Russell asks why plaintiff was suing her for $850, JJ dismissed that part of the suit, and then JJ says she has no idea why plaintiff sued defedant Russell, since the RV wasn't hers, and she didn't start it up, causing the fire).

$1622 for plaintiff.

Teenage Loan Sharks?! ; Subletters from Hell!

5 p.m. episodes-

Roommate Meets Jail Cell  -Plaintiff Jon Stansbury is suing two ex-roommates/defendants Nathan Spires and Jeffery Dingillo for security deposit, and personal property he claims defendants trashed.    Three men were roommates, everything went bad. They moved into a four-bedroom home.  Defendants suing about lease breaking.   Spires signed the lease, Stansbury paid the security deposit of $3,600, but Spires claims he paid half $1800.

Defendants' claim of lease breaking dismissed because they didn't get a replacement roommate.  Plaintiff moved out after defendant had him arrested, and both defendants still live in the house.

Plaintiff gets his $1800 back for security deposit.   Plaintiff gets his fridge back, and Kitchen Aid mixer.    iPhone 8 ($2,000, with $800 left on payments for phone)  stays with the defendants, because plaintiff loaned it to Dingillo's wife, Kim.  Defendants get no lease breaking fee.

Pushing, Shoving and Bleeding-Plaintiff Lisa Caron suing ex-roommate/defendant Mila Montanez for assault during an argument.  Plaintiff was renting room in defendant's house.

After move in, plaintiff claims defendant wanted security deposit, and other stuff, changing their agreement. There was a physical fight between the two women, and the police were called.

Everything dismissed.

4 p.m. episodes-

Grandmother Glam Shots Scam-Grandmother Nancy Crager suing ex-daughter in law Beth Crager and her new boyfriend Nickolas Arbiso for Christmas photos, and other glamour children’s photos, and 'family' picture of her ex-DIL's new boyfriend included with the kids, and ex-DIL.

Grandmother claims ex-DIL used her credit to have huge photo packages, and Christmas package, but she only authorized the first set of kid pictures, not the Christmas.

Grandma authorized daughter, and ex-DIL to have kiddie photos taken, including the contest of prettiest kid photo for a lousy trophy.  It was just the girl grandkids who had the photos.

The defendant thinks that former mother-in-law should be happy to have her new live-in included in family photos.  Defendant is delusional about having her new shack up in the family pictures.

Grandmother claims she would pay $1,000 for photos, but not the $5800+ the bill ended up being.    Grandma claims she only authorized $866, not the $5800+.   (This case, and the relationship between the plaintiff, her son, and the defendant sound awful).

(My guess is one reason for the delayed divorce from the military husband by the hopefully, ex daughter in law is probably to last for 10 years of marriage while husband is on active duty, then she can keep her benefits until she remarries, and go after his pension.     My guess if that happens, she will never remarry. My guess is JJ is right, the DIL only did the one set of pictures for $868, and the daughter did the other pictures).

$433 to plaintiff.

Repossession Roulette!

Arson Payback for Vet Bill-Plaintiff Denise Bailey suing defendant (her daughter's ex-fiance) Darren Keller for setting her car on fire, and he's suing her for an unpaid loan, $.   Defendant says he didn't set her car on fire, and she never repaid the loan.   Defendant loaned money for vet bill for her dog, and he sold her collateral after she never repaid the loan.   Defendant received $300 for the property.

Witness for plaintiff is former friend/roommate of defendant, and claims he has recording saying the defendant slashed the tires on plaintiff's car.  There is nothing on the audio recording on the witness' phone about the car fire, or anything else.    No police report, as usual.

Cases dismissed.

Spay and Neuter Your Dogs-Plaintiff Tina Nevill suing former friend Kristy Elam for unpaid loan.    Litigants were roommates, and defendant'scar need repairs, and so defendant borrowed money from plaintiff for car repairs, $900.   Defendant paid back $460, but the credit cards have an interest rate of 29% each.  Defendant had a dog that she didn't spay, and used plaintiff's credit card for this also.

Plaintiff gets loan amounts, plus interest on both loans, $1096.

Crime Victim's Funeral Plight-Plaintiff Marlena Moore owes money to funeral director Malcolm Morris for son's funeral, and is suing him for funeral payment back, after her claim to a state crime victim funeral fund turns down her application.   The grandfather paid both payments to the funeral home, not Ms. Moore.    (This happened in Kansas City, Missouri.  Because of the emotional toll of working with families of homicide victims, Mr. Morris no longer handles funerals of homicide victims unless he's acquainted with the families.  )

Defendant is a funeral director, and is counter suing for the funeral costs she didn't pay.   Defendant has a signed contract for the funeral, and plaintiff claims she never signed it.

Plaintiff  disputes her son's funeral costs and says the funeral director owes her for emotional distress. Plaintiff claims defendant called her relatives the day before the funeral, and threatened that if no one paid the bills, son would be 'coming out of the casket'.   That's total bull.

$3,925 was cost for funeral, with $1023 left on bill.   $1023 to defendant.

Moldy Daycare-Plaintiff/former tenant Faith Hudson suing defendant/former landlord Delores Thompson for loss of property due to mold.

Plaintiff claims the mold came from the basement/garden unit she lived in.  However, the photos show all of the mold on her suitcases, and other items that all came with plaintiff when she moved in.

Defendant is counter claiming for unpaid rent.   Plaintiff accuses defendant/home day care provider of have a mold infestation.  Plaintiff is former tenant of basement apartment, and day care space, defendant is former landlady.   Defendant was going to have day care on first floor, and plaintiff tenant was renting garden apartment in house basement.

Plaintiff/former tenant says apartment is mold infested, and she had to trash mattresses, clothing, shoes, etc., and defendant claims tenant brought it in to the unit.  Plaintiff claims defendant changed the locks when tenant said she was going to move, and after some bizarre woman (defendant swears it was the plaintiff) was outside her house with some man right before move out.

Plaintiff claims all that she had in the apartment was her bed, and she was paying $1,000 for a place to store her bed.

$250 to defendant, nothing to bizarre tenant/plaintiff.

How to Live to be 100-(According to JJ, a Gerontologist told her the secret to living to be 100, "Don't Fall").   Plaintiff Lillian Howard  suing defendant / dog owner Angelina Flahiff  for medical bills, replacement pair of eyeglasses from defendant’s Chihuahas assaulting her.

Plaintiff/ grandmother  and granddaughter were walking down a public sidewalk, when a swarm of Chihuahuas came out of the yard, started nipping, and clawing, and plaintiff fell down.   As usual, lying dog owner swears her dogs were not out, and didn't do it.  Defendant’s daughter that was home at the time, saw the plaintiff on the ground, but claims the little dogs were always in the fence, and didn't do it.

Plaintiff is only suing for her out of pocket expenses, and her glasses replacement that were broken.  Animal control came to defendant's house, and there were citations for too many dogs, and animals at large.  Defendant didn't put anything through her homeowner's insurance, and JJ thinks she doesn't even have insurance.    Plaintiff says she did talk to the defendant at length, but defendant claims plaintiff never talked to her.

$2,000 to plaintiff.

c**** Cat Custody--Plaintiff (room renter)  Libby Crawford suing defendant/former landlord Dawn Jarman for return of her Maine c**** cat, and an assault by defendant.  Plaintiff moved in with the cat, Melvin, but defendant still has it.  Cat is in court with defendant, and a designated cat holder.

Police were involved with the dust up, and plaintiff did get some property back. No rent owed.  Security deposit $150, according to defendant loon, and plaintiff says she paid $650 total.    Ms. Jarman, defendant was emergency contact on vet paperwork, not as co-owner.   I really hope Byrd takes the Flyswatter of Death after the defendant, and I get to see it.

(This is the case where the defendant states "A cat isn't a roommate, it's an infant".  When JJ says something's wrong with the defendant, the defendant looks at JJ like she's the nutty one. )

Officer Byrd is totally over the defendant's ranting.   She better not advance on JJ's Sacred Bench of Justice, or Officer Byrd will stop her cold.

Cat was declawed before plaintiff adopted it three years ago.  Defendant got a license in her name, vet bills, and other 'proof'.     All of this happened a month or six weeks ago, so plaintiff gets her cat back.   Defendant claims plaintiff assaulted her, and I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to punch her.

Plaintiff gets her cat back, and defendant gets nothing.

Crash Sob Story-Plaintiff John Velani suing defendant Tina Prewitt for repairs to his parked car that defendant hit.

Defendant has a bunch of garbage excuses, including the mysterious truck that ran her off the road.   (Must be the same truck in all of these cases, wandering the country, and forcing other drivers off the road).

 Plaintiff receives $5,000.

Pitiful Porch-Plaintiff /homeowner Nancy Carroll suing contractor/defendant Ian Hoffman over a home addition.    Defendant is a licensed plumber, but not a licensed contractor in Virginia, where this happened.    Defendant was hired to add an enclosed  porch onto her home.

There is a signed contract covering the work, and the scope of work, and $6,000 total was paid to the defendant.    I don't think the deck was built according to code, and it doesn't look like the structure is up to date, but that may be the before picture.

$5,000 to plaintiff.

Workman's Comp Chaos-Plaintiff Shawn Cornett suing former friend/defendant Timothy Duncan for money owed for helping defendant's mother close a workman's comp case.   Plaintiff claims that defendant's mother needed help to resolve her worker's comp case, and she would pay him $2,000.

Plaintiff hasn't worked since 2004, and is recently on disability, and was unemployed for over 10 years.    Somehow plaintiff interfered in the case, and the attorney actually communicated with him.   Was plaintiff qualified to interfere in the worker’s comp (it was called Workman’s Comp before, now it’s Worker’s Comp) case?    I doubt it.     I wonder if plaintiff’s working part time conflicts with his disability or unemployment payments?   I agree with JJ, why was plaintiff sticking his nose in this Worker’s Comp case?   Plaintiff had zero right to talk to her attorney, go to the doctor with her, and he had no standing in this case.

Plaintiff has no case.     In hall-terview, defendant says his mother had dementia, and wasn’t competent to do anything with this case.

Shady Car Deal-Plaintiff/car buyer Carolyn Omatayo saw car by side of the road, near a car lot, and bought it from defendant James Daniels . Car wasn’t in a car lot, but near a car lot.

Plaintiff is suing defendant who sold her the car, because she claims the title was not in his name, and car was stolen.      DMV called police, and car was impounded.     Plaintiff paid $8,000 for a car that KBB says is worth $7300.

Case is dismissed without prejudice, to go back and try it locally.

5 p.m. episodes-

Reign of the Homeless Terror-Plaintiff/teen homeowner Elise DeGradderied suing defendant/former tenant Jancey Quinichette  for unpaid rent, medical bills from an assault, and damages.  Plaintiff/teenage homeowner was renting to woman, and her two sons.   Plaintiff claims her 53 year-old tenant jumped her over a Wifi dispute.    Defendant claims plaintiff cut off Wifi, and it interfered with son's homework.

However, it is testified that the Wifi outage interfered with son's Grand Theft Auto play.  Rent was $400 a month, plus utilities, equaling $2800 rent, and they only paid $1782.  What the hell is up with the defendant's son's hair?

For the last two months, there was no outside support, so rent owing is $1600 additional funds, so total is $3382.    Another professional tenant victim in defendant, who knows all of the buzz words about housing court.    JJ gives the  'if you ate the steak story', and defendant says "there was no steak".    But tenant lived there, sometimes with two sons, and didn't move, and that was in one bedroom.      Malachi Glass is defendant's older son, now 21, who slept in the room too when he was in town, and 16 year-old is the one who needs Wifi for GTA play for his PTSD.

The fight was defendant woman attacking young landlord (great for her to own a home at that young age), over a wifi outage.     Police were called about fight, and defendant and son were arrested.    Defendant says plaintiff slapped her, however, I can see defendant as a truly nasty person, so I don't believe it.    This is the case where the younger son (16) Ashton, was playing GTA, and needs wifi, because of his PTSD, and not doing his homework.

Defendant just knew the Wifi went down, not who did it, or doesn’t know if it wasn't due to an outage, or cable issue.  There is no proof the landlady cut anything off.

Plaintiff has audio of going into her home, and defendant getting ugly to her, and hitting her.  Plaintiff also has video of 911 call.    Defendant says she also has a video, of plaintiff's "Reign of Terror".

Amazing, defendant claims she didn't do the marks on the wall, but recites them without seeing the photos of the writing on the wall.   The rent the tenant was supposed to pay was very low, compared to the market price, and after her assistance ran out, she stopped paying the bills, and that's when the attack happened.

Tenant claims being homeless wasn't her own fault, but the landlady was somehow responsible.   Defendant and son claim plaintiff had a wild party for 300 people.

(I'm mean, I enjoyed the fake crying of the defendant in the hall-terview.   I also sounded like my mother during the hall-terview, and wanted to give the loathsome tenant something to cry about).  (I live in a new neighborhood, and I can't tell you how many times some guy with a backhoe cut my cable, it was so often that the backhoe guy would call the local cable office to get the line fixed before I went outside to confirm what happened).

Plaintiff gets her rent, and medical bills, and damages.  $4500.

Intimate and Incarcerated-Plaintiff Wendy Shabazz gave defendant Jerome Lida $1400 on his release from prison, and now wants it back.    Sorry, he was 'incarcerated', previous time in slammer was two years or so before.  Formerly incarcerated person says it was a gift, not a loan.   Defendant starts whining about what plaintiff expected in return for her money.       (JJ tells defendant that if he was the prize at the end of a race, then she would walk backwards).

It's so sad that someone is that desperate to pay someone for a relationship.   Defendant says they were intimate for a while, but no longer. Defendant doesn't think it was a loan, because he thinks women should gift him for his presence, (He's very wrong).

Defendant claims he was working despite his MS diagnosis, but plaintiff got him fired.     Plaintiff got out of his unfortunate incarceration in April, but didn't work until New Year's Eve, and now is a server at Buffalo Wild Wings.        (Back story is Wendy Shabazz is a stand up comedian-have we had another comedian on the show before?)

$1400 to plaintiff.

Daughter Sideswipe? Mother Money Gripe  -Plaintiff Lakisha Patterson suing mechanic Romi White for damage to car that her daughter was driving when it was damaged, by her sideswiping another car.

Plaintiff had a $250 deductible, and mechanic said he would try to work with her so the deducible would be less, more damage was found, and adjuster paid a total of $4,000+.      Car has yellow spots in the paint, and plaintiff wants money to repaint the car.   Yellow spots looked like either pollen, or paint wasn't mixed correctly.    It's entirely possible it's pollen, that stuff is nasty.

$1544 to plaintiff.

Silk Purse From a Sow's Ear-Plaintiff DeNaya Bryson suing defendant/ex-boyfriend Jeffery White for 2 month’s rent, ambulance bill,  two tickets for setting off false alarms on a security system, and stalking.   Litigants were shacked up, had a kid, he lost his job, and didn't pay the rent.   Plaintiff wants back rent (and he was unemployed?).  Plaintiff claims defendant set the alarm off twice using the app, but defendant says he set the alarm off twice getting his stuff back.

Defendant punched a hole in the door, and he was arrested for damage to property, and something else.   Plaintiff tries to charge JJ's bench, and I really hoped Byrd would tackle her.   Plaintiff was charged $85 each for the alarms, and the door repair, and defendant claims he paid restitution.

Plaintiff also claims her son got sick, day care called, and defendant was supposed to pick son up, six days after the big blow up.   (On a shallow note, is the plaintiff's hair supposed to be cute? It isn't.) Plaintiff then told defendant the child was sick, and defendant picked up kid, but she already had a protective order against defendant.   Defendant took him to urgent care, and then an ambulance was called, and she objects to paying for the ambulance.    Mother of the year candidate isn't she?    Too cheap to pay for an ambulance for her own kid.

Defendant has seven children, plaintiff found this loser, got knocked up, and now wants to be paid for this?    Urgent care does not call an ambulance for a kid with a cold, so plaintiff is a fool too.    When defendant moved out, plaintiff says she put all of his property out on the curb.

Byrd looks like he would like to help the plaintiff leave via a foot up her fanny.   I do love the plaintiff's stomping out of court, and the hall-terviews.

Defendant gets $500, plaintiff gets nothing.    ($500 was for the property of defendant that plaintiff threw out).

Teen Cheating Ruins Aruba Vacay-Plaintiff Skyler Cirillo suing ex-boyfriend Anthony Katz for a non-refundable flight to Aruba ($770 for ticket), in July, after they broke up in March.       The ticket is non-refundable, non-transferable, and only in defendant's name, but he can change destinations.  Plaintiff is the one who dumped the defendant, but after that she wants the money for the ticket.

Defendant says no payment was ever mentioned.  (in the hall, defendant says he's using his ticket to go to Hawaii). Plaintiff is a vindictive little fool isn't she?

Case dismissed.   Plaintiff has no expectation of payment.

Supermodel Reality Check-(This is the dog attack one, where JJ responds to the defendant's obvious lies by saying she's Christie Brinkley, if his ludicrous story is true).    Plaintiff Mayumi Sappington is suing idiot defendant Lise Petrella for his dog attacking her dog.    Defendant has a ridiculous story about the attack.   Defendant Michael Petrella and Lise Petrella (wife) swore to different stories.   Defendant's miniature Rottweiler (40 lbs or so) (No such thing as a Mini Rottweiler, just because it has the coloring) attacked the Yorkie cross.  (When Officer Byrd tells the audience to be seated, the plaintiff's dog sits).

Plaintiff witness/neighbor and dog walker, Ms.  Sukuma was walking the dog for owner, and dog was on leash.  Plaintiff witness is a neighbor and dog walker, was taking the Yorkie for a walk, on leash when the attack happened.

Defendant man claims (wife wasn't there) he came in from the garage with his friend James and the Mini Rott., and holding dog's leash (I don't believe this at all), and when he went on the porch he took his dog off leash.    When Defendant Bozo got outside, little dog was on ground, on leash, being attacked by the defendant's dog (off leash).   JJ doesn't believe the attacking dog was on a flexi leash (I don't believe it either).

Defendant suing because her vicious dog was quarantined, and this was emotionally damaging to her. I don't believe the defendant when she says the dog was quarantined at home for 90 days, that's either a repeat attack, or no rabies shot , and for her dog's emotional distress from the quarantine,

Defendant case dismissed, plaintiff gets $750 for vet bills.

Paid in Cigs and Soda-Plaintiff Lise Gane suing defendant/niece's father (her former tenant) Richard Parker III for unpaid rent and a damaged couch.  Defendant swears he never signed a lease, plaintiff puts a 'signed' lease into evidence, JJ says the sworn statement and defendant's signature on 'lease' are similar.

Defendant claims plaintiff has long criminal background, and stole identities.    Defendant's young daughter lived in the room, slept on the couch, and he was going to move when he got his own place.  Lease runs through June, but defendant moved out on 1 April.   Defendant is counter suing for damaged property, and vet bills.  (Plaintiff is out to lunch).

Plaintiff is a tenant, who subleased, and doesn't even have a lease.   Plaintiff claims she's the leasor, but she's not even on the lease for the home.   Plaintiff claims defendant damaged her couch by lying on it all of the time.

Defendant claims plaintiff threw bleach on his clothes, and plaintiff has a lot of bizarre reasons she couldn't have done this.    She seems like a bunny boiler to me.

Case dismissed because plaintiff has no proof, and has no sense.
