Jorge deserves to be used by Anfisa because , I agree , he is a putz. She has the look and demeanor to pose for porno type magazines not high fashion. She's had too much plastic surgery, her face barely moves. 

Alla doesn't seem happy at all.

I can't believe Chantel wanted Pedro to tell her family their big lie, the guy can barely speak English. She's an immature coward.

Narkiya is a grown woman, she should know better and know that Lowo is lieing. If she ever marries him it's her own stupid fault.

Anfisa's photo shoot is a good example of what I hate about these shows.  The makeup person and cameraman bringing up how men will be looking at her and can Jorge handle that was obviously a setup to play on his insecurities and create drama.  It's totally inappropriate for a professional photographer or his staff to broach such a personal subject like that, and they never would.  I agree that she doesn't really have a chance at being a professional lingerie model, way too much competition.  She was already talking about wanting to do topless, which of course leads to nude, and you know where that goes.  Good luck with that, Jorge.

Every one of these couples is a disaster from what I've seen.  At least in past seasons you had one or two that were kind of legit.

I looked up butterface in the dictionary and all there was was a photo of Anfisa. I never give anyone crap for acne because I've certainly suffered from it but I also don't brag about my incredible beauty. There appeared to be a lot on both of her cheeks that she has been covering pretty well. I have to say that she has a great body, though I don't know how much of it was purchased. But if she's such a fashionista, why doesn't she know that fashion models don't have giant boobs and are almost always over 5'9?

I was surprised at how many super large dresses they had for Narkiya to try on at the dress shop. She had some seriously huge arms. Her mom was quite a bit smaller and really pretty except for the ultra fake contacts.

I understand that Nicole is hurt by Azan's remarks but did the desert trip give her a clue that her size makes life a lot tougher then it needs to be? At 22 I think she would shed the weight really quickly but it would take a major lifestyle change.

Alla's sister was really pretty.

Anfisa and Jorge are the gift that keeps on giving. She keeps his balls in a matchbox and if he acts real nice, she'll let him have them for half an hour. Looks like his traditional wifey ain't doing shit around the house. Jorge: trophy wives don't cook or clean.  He's such a putz! I think the make up artist did a great job on her...she's not as pretty as she thinks she is.

She's clearly out of shape,and if in the prime of her life she is struggling, it won't get any easier. Seeing her shape on the camel, she's like 3 of him and she's only 22! Believe me, the evil menopause fairy packed on more weight than I'm comfortable schepping around, I'm half her size and more than twice her age, and I'm frustrated that I can't do all the things I want to do.

Pao's shitty photography shoot on the beach was no comparison for Anfisa's professional makeup and actual photo studio.  The makeup artist did a great job on her, better than what Anfisa usually does herself.

That's exactly what I said to my TV! I guess Anfisa doesn't watch Project Runway while she's laying around the house watching Jorge clean the litterbox.

I felt really bad for Alla when she was talking to her sister. I believe the only reason she came to the US and is going to go through with marrying that insecure, controlling idiot is to get her sister and nephew over here. I hope it happens and they all have a happy life (without Matt).

I don't know anything about the modeling world, but Anfisas's photo shoot looked like a glamour shots session. Sexy lingerie no changes of clothes, backgrounds, no natural light shots. I am assuming that a real modeling portfolio contains all kinds of photos. And while she has a nice body, she lacks all the facial features one associates with modeling, e.g. prominent cheekbones distinct eyes, etc. Her profile is not good because she has a receding chin which is exacerbated by her collegen filled duck lips. I am interested to know what she did in Moscow besides go on websites to catch a sugar daddy. Did she model, was she a student? I don't get it. 

Speaking about websites, how did Nicole meet Azan online? Are there websites for foreign single men? I have no clue how that happens. And speaking of Azan, I hope he is not pinning his hopes on her getting in shape. Not gonna happen no matter what he says. I'm guessing she wants to get pregnant immediately because in her simple mind that means he can't leave her. It's so clear by his body language that he can barely tolerate being around her, much less touch her. Can anyone tell on social media if the nuptials ever took place?

Alla I care and I feel terrible for her but she is not naive she knows the score. Loved it in the  preview when Matt's mom tries to nix a beach wedding cuz Matt's last wedding was on the beach and we know how that didn't work out. So by logical extension can we assume that Alla cannot have or do anything that reminds of his exes? So if one of them likes fish and wearing a blue dress, those things are out too, correct? Alla needs to seriously weigh her options.

I honestly don't think he was fat shaming her or mentally abusing her.  I just remember Azan saying she needs to eat healthier and work out. Also that they can work out together.  I call that concern for the other person, not fat shaming.  Fat shaming would have been more like Azan calling her names and/or telling her how she needs to get in shape for him.  

Except for his odd detachment of emotions from time to time, I just cannot read how Azan really feels about Nicole and if he is using her just for the green card or he is hoping it's a love match as well.

I didnt see it as fat shaming, I saw it as he wants her to to be able to keep up with him, forget the shallowness, a 22 year old should not struggle to walk like she does--its very sad and very unhealthy--there are plenty of bigger women who are much healthier than Nicole, and she needs to start thinking about what she is showing her daughter, although she doesnt seem to be very concerned about her at any rate.

I really don't know why Jorge has a problem with Anfisa's lingerie photoshoot.                                                                                                                                After all, that is how he met her:  He saw her "sexy poses in swimsuit" pics on Facebook and messaged her with promises of riches untold, till she caved. Did he really think a woman who only posts suggestive, half-naked pictures of herself (on public setting) would make a good stay-at-home wife?  I think Anfisa has a very nice body, but I wish somebody would tell her that there's a difference between having good posture and sticking your butt and boobs out as far as you can. She's constantly over-arching her back, to the point where her shoulders and arms are behind her torso. It looks ridiculous - chest forward, butt back, like a duck. Duck lips and duck posture. 

Azan telling Nicole not to be lazy may sound harsher than intended. His english is probably not be good enough to know that calling somebody lazy is rude and sedentary would have been a better choice of words. I do agree with him, Nicole needs to change her lifestyle for her own sake.

Is Narkiya sure His Royal Highness Lowo studies anything in Vietnam? That he isn't a low paid immigrant looking to take a gullible woman for all she's worth? Wiki 'Nigerians in Vietnam' : " Many Africans, including Nigerians, run fashion shops in Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City....Wages in the country are low, equivalent to just US$200/month even for a college graduate, meaning many of the migrants find it difficult to make a living."   Scamming women may be his second job.

I think Alla could be very happy there. Lots of room for Max to play and a kind husband who will appreciate her. But could she go out dancing with her friends? I feel terrible for Alla--she's really homesick, misses her sister, and is bored to tears. Can we take her to a department store makeup counter for a makeover too? She's very attractive but that red lipstick she favors ages her. With a pinkier lipstick and softer hair she's look really nice.

That drove me nuts. What professional behaves in that way? And every single conversation on these shows is the same. "Did you just come here for a green card?" There are other things people can talk about--how they're adjusting, what they did before, what they hope to do here, what's different about the US from their home, what was something that surprised them, have they done something new here that they hadn't done before, and on and on. Why do we have to constantly watch the horrible shallow mean friends of these twerps needling and demeaning these poor people?

He called her "lazy" and said some other things, otherwise, I would agree he was just voicing concern. I have to keep remembering that English is his 3rd language, so he may come off as brusque.

Bare arms and bare feet in the desert?  Tight jeans, chafing, and chub rub? I am having a hard time believing that no one (Nicole, Azan, his family) has suggested that Nicole buy clothes that are more suitable for the climate. I mean they said it's day 15, so more than two weeks since she arrived. I understand not being appropriately dressed the first couple of days but two weeks in and she is still slogging around in jeans and tank tops? I figure it's one of two things, either they did offer to take her shopping and she refused (I like my jeans and tank tops in the desert) or TLC is pushing the fish out of water storyline and not encouraging her to adapt. But seriously, when your betrothed is already frustrated with you, and you are supposed to be madly in love with each other, can you just imagine life in 5 years and a couple of kids later? Nicole girl, just think about that.

Or plus size clothes are as difficult to find in Morocco as they were (and still can be) here. Even large flowy caftans are one size fits most, but not all, and Nicole is quite large. Plus size close can also be quite a bit more expensive than straight sizes, and she is after all, an unemployed barista. TLC/Sharp paying for the trip doesn't mean she has a lot of money for extras.

Jorge likes walking around with Anfisa. He likes that people look at her. He imagines that all the dudes who see them together are jealous that he got someone who looks like that. But I think he realized during the shoot that if she goes off on this modeling thing, the situation leaves his control. She will be off doing shoots and guys will be hitting on her, and he won't be around to stop it. Maybe more importantly, he knows he won't be able to stop her. If flirting with a guy or kissing him or whatever will get her what she wants, she'll do it, and he knows it. Hell, she'd do it just to piss him off, for her own amusement. 

I guess he thought this modeling thing would be a fun little hobby for her while he was busy doing the breadwinner thing. He clearly didn't know much about what it means to be a model - long hours away from home and away from him, surrounded by other people, many of them attractive, many of them telling her how wonderful she is, living a more interesting life than what he can provide, maybe even making more money than he does. (In theory anyway. In reality there's no chance of her becoming the next Adriana Lima.)

  Ok, this is kind of off topic/picky, but when the lovely Chantel and Pedro are meeting with her parents, Pedro and her brother are in shorts and momma has what looks like her winter coat on.  Made me sweat just looking at her.  I was hoping her father would have tried to talk some sense into our girl, but he probably gave that up a long time ago.

  I feel bad for her because she seems like she might be a nice girl, just very naïve and delusional, living in a fantasy land.  And trying to shirk responsibility for the sham student visa thing was just wrong.  So does she expect somehow to have a wedding pulled together by her parents?

I like Alla, but yeah, something was wrong with the way she said she didn't want to give up "this opportunity" for Max and her. Like, more red flags than a Russian parade! And, Matt can't get married on a beach again because it's too painful? WTF? Can he ever GO to a beach again? Talk about coddling this man! I'm starting to get the feeling that the whole family is enabling this baby-man behavior! Could this monster have been created, at least in part, by his brightly lit family? And jeez, they don't have to go all the way to Cancun!! Kentucky is not so far away from the Florida panhandle. Beautiful white sand beaches. The Redneck Riviera! The whole fam can drive down there, caravan style! She wants a beach wedding. If this is going to work, you should let the bride have at least something of what she wants!

Otherwise, when it's time for Wifey #5, Matt will never want to look anywhere near Eastern Europe ever, ever again. Too painful. Maybe Europe will be off limits, too. Maybe anyplace out of the country.

 

One more short snipey comment. I'm questioning Pedro's ability to handle, like, anything, from riding on airplanes to explaining stuff to Chantel's dad. Although, shame on her for putting that all on HIM! It was HER lie, and SHE'S the one who put him in a position where he looked bad. He was so scared, he did not want to leave that gym and tell the family of Chantel. He really looked like Bambi, standing there, baffled.

Do we know anything about Pedro's background and what he's qualified to like, DO? (Besides smile beautifully.)

I don't think it is that easy. I've heard of people trying to get to the US because they have a sibling living here and it doesn't usually work out that way. I think it only works if you have a child or spouse in the US. However, if this is all true, I don't feel bad for Alla. She has a pretty great deal - to live in a nice big house with her son, entry to the US, "opportunities"... etc. I mean, marryng a guy simply for opportunities, which is what it looks like here, doesn't make you an awesome person, it makes you a user. But whatever, maybe love will blossom ...

Years ago on TLC there was a short lived show called "Daddy's spoiled little girl" and Chantal reminds me of the women on that show; she also reminds me of girls I grew up with.  She's spoiled, she knows she's cute and, I hate to say it but, most black men probably want her because she's light and has long hair; and I am sure she's very aware of that.  In other words, she thinks her shit doesn't stink.

Regarding Anfisa and Jorge, the two of them clearly have no freaking clue what it takes to be a model. They've done no research. It would be so entertaining to have the camera crew follow as she goes from agency to agency, with her sparkling personality and charming ways.

I thought the same thing, and I wouldn't be surprised if (initially, anyway) Patrick was the groom they picked out for her sister.  I know someone who married his wife from the Philippines -- he had the same mindset as Jorge -- that American women are too independent and bossy for him.  Anyway, I've seen the tight knit little group they all hang out with...all American men married to women from the Philippines.  I live in a very small, very rural town, and am really surprised at the network of like minded men/couples there are here.

I am sure the camel whose back Nicole threw out of alignment really appreciates the fact that she thought the camel ride sucked! Ugh! 

The only thing I had a problem with is Azan calling Nicole lazy repeatedly - that is not motivating at all, but other than that Azan told no lies.  It is not at all healthy that a 22 year old otherwise seemingly healthy woman can't walk up a hill without almost passing out!  She started huffing and puffing almost as soon as she started walking.  I thought he framed it as well as he could have - he wanted her to eat healthy, go to the gym to become more physically fit and so that they could also share a common activity.  

Azan really did seem to be trying to be more physical with needy Nicole. There was a lot of touching, face and hair stroking. 

Chantal shouldn't even have a goldfish as a pet, let alone a husband. Her parents really handled the reveal with class and decorum and held in their disappointment well. Her parents are awesome.

Anfisa doesn't have the facial structure for modelling. She's got no jaw  line, a weak chin and no cheekbones to speak of but really round cheeks. Not all models are conventionally beautiful a la Adriana Lima, but they pretty much all have good bone structures.  What is interesting is that all the social media pics shown on the show that Anfisa posts online - they are never head on pics. Her pics tend to be at angles so her full face is not really shown. LOL! She does have an enviable figure though - fake boobs and potentially ass notwithstanding. 

Jorge can really GTFOH! Her ass and boob shoots she posted is what wet his whistle in the 1st place, now its a problem? 

Can't even feel sorry for Narkiya. Did she really already put money on a dress, reception hall, buy bridemaids dresses and wedding decor for a groom that ain't even here? She dumb!

I honestly don't think he was fat shaming her or mentally abusing her.  I just remember Azan saying she needs to eat healthier and work out. Alla is also just Riding This Out.  Very revealing that this is an opportunity for her and Max.  Indeed it is.  She knows the score and her English isn't good enough to challenge Matt right now, but the wheels are working.  I believe she is incredibly homesick and misses her sister and may even regret coming to Matt, but it shows how much MORE miserable she was in Europe.  I see her in for the long haul.  Too bad Matt can't be deported and Alla and Max can stay.

Anfisa is no where near as beautiful as she thinks she is.  She needs to go around a place with some Real Models and get a bit of perspective. The Big Eyes to George when he says something she doesn't like -- yeah, good luck with that.  I hope he wakes up and smells the Sanka and realizes that she is not interested in him one iota - she doesn't even bother to play up to him.  She does not care and watching her use him is cringeworthy.  He's dumb, but I am hoping his jealousy will win the day and get her booted.

Azan - He has zero respect for Nicole.  She lost any goodwill he may have had for her once she began to diss his culture.  He may have been carried away with the idea of coming to the US and even the Idea of Nicole...despite the unwed mother thing and all -- but her attitude and disrespect for everything Moroccan quickly turned him off to her.   I didn't catch the scene of his Mother intervening during their argument when she sat down to cry.  I just bet that his family is Very Very Invested in this marriage.  They probably look to him as a possible breadwinner who can send them $$$ and maybe get them out of there?

If I were Pedro, I'd run, green card's not worth the effort.  Her parents might bail her out since she is their only daughter, but we'll see.

I agree.  Nicole shamed Azan a lot when it came to his culture.  I guess she feels that because she's blonde and American, she has the right to shit on everybody's culture that isn't hers.
