Any new faces coming to either The Strain, Sleepy Hollow, Supernatural or Once Upon a Time? –lilslim

I choose from Column A… and Door No. 4. For Season 3, The Strain is adding the recurring roles of Kroft, a Navy SEAL team leader who finds himself hunting strigoi (and curiously, the actor must be “comfortable with prosthetics”), and Kate Beckett Nelson, an NYPD captain in charge of a squad of combatants. Once Upon a Time meanwhile is casting for Episode 15 the role of Captain Silver, the commanding (and sometimes bullying) boss of a merchant ship.

I was going to put this is in the media thread, but I think the casting news of Hook's dad is a spoiler. Yes?

No. Casting news is news, not spoilers. Spoilers are actual things that happen in upcoming episodes that get out through a variety of means. Speculation is "What if..." stuff.

A reminder - casting news is not a spoiler. It belongs in the Media thread. Thank you.

The Season 5B theme, "Unfinished Business," becomes evident in the premiere (aka Episode 100) as Emma, Rumple et al encounter foes and family — Cora and Peter Pan included — in the Underworld, which in small part "looks like a screwed-up version of Storybrooke," says co-creator Adam Horowitz. And though our heroes embarked to save Hook, "That impetus is the tip of the iceberg," Horowitz makes clear. "That's just our entry way to another world and a wealth of stories that impact all our characters." As the saga unspools, Emma "comes to terms with the fact that her role as Savior is just beginning," the Charmings realize there are "consequences to their headstrong jump to the Underworld, leaving a child behind," and Regina and her mom have an "interesting" reunion, given Cora's dying words — all while Hades (Greg Germann) lords over his domain, harboring an "important," non-familial tie to someone. Though left behind in Storybrooke, Belle "becomes very involved" in the main arc (as does Oz-tracized Zelena), while Ruby and Mulan resurface (with a third party?) in Episode 18.

On Once Upon a Time, is there going to be any mention of Neal possibly being in the Underworld? –Shannon
Though Season 5B will quickly lay out the rules for who is and isn’t lingering in the Underworld, “I would think that it would be very disappointing for Emma to go down there and not have somebody talk about Neal,” says co-creator Eddy Kitsis.

Ask Aussiello

Question: I love Once Upon a Time and I’d love any scoop about Milah’s return. —Audrey

Ausiello: Being the dearly departed ex of both Rumple and Hook, Milah “has a big connection to two of our main characters,”co-creator Eddy Kitsis reminds. As for how she folds into the heroes’ trip to the Underworld, “We don’t want to spoil anything, but… wouldn’t it be weird if she met Emma? She and Emma might be an awkward meeting.” Just as fun is the prospect of long-dead Milah getting the 411 on the fantastically twisted family tree that branched off of her. Hints co-creator Adam Horowitz, “I love the idea of Milah learning just how she is connected to all our characters!”
