I think that this might be the place to post this since to me it would be an unpopular opinion. On another board, people are clamoring for a Sonny/Sam pairing.

To be fair, I think most people in town could find a mutual relative with Sonny, so if they only gave him people with whom he didn't share any relatives it would be slim pickings. (Which is a good thing of course, but we live in a world where the show will not let a month go by with Sonny kissing a woman suction-cup style.)

Omg that needed to be said. I'm putting you on the Jasus revival project. You get three hots and a cot, unlimited skype and text privlages, and you can play with Tony DiMera's tiger. On topic, I would rather a RoHo/MS pairing. I don't care how it happens. Just make it so. She is eating ME alive. I also want Silas to be revealed to really be Stephen Clay.

I don't have any use for Nathan but I still don't want him to get stuck with Maxie. She's been beyond stupid these last few months and is more trouble than she's worth right now. Even a block of wood like him can do better.

 

I wouldn't mind Maxie pairing with Nathan, but only after she received a comeuppance for her idiocy and spent some time facing the consequences of her actions.  And also she would need to apologize to him for not believing him when he told the truth and for the way she behaved towards him.

Probably the most unpopular opinion on here but I didn't mind Spencer's mom. I thought the actress was decent and I really wanted her killer arms. A lot other characters I hated on this show ahead of her.

I missed most of Courtney's run on the show ... mostly saw her die during the monkey virus. So I have no visceral hatred for her, either. Not saying I want another useless character returning, though!

Gotta say, Maxie has always bugged me. I Like the actress and I can see how she could be fun. But she just has this history of creating dumb drama and leaving a mess behind. Like, she was the one who figured out Jax and Carly had messed around with baby Spencer's DNA results ... and she dumps this info in Robins lap and slouches off so Robin has the thankless task of exposing the latest baby lie.

Also, it definitely is her fault Matt ended up in jail. The fact that she would even tolerate Spinelli shows how little taste she has, as well. And don't even get me started on plying Lucky with drugs back in the day.

I watched her until she ran to jason in the rain Then all the garbage I missed. I went to the barge ,MAxie is a lame brain. She jumps in without thinking. I thought the implication when Starr left was that Cole and Hope were alive. Not that I give two shits about Cole, but I was sad about Hope's death, so that pleased me.

 

Although, I no longer really care about Johnny, so he can stay gone. I'd rather have Matt sprung for Maxie and/or Liz. Better yet, resurrect the criminally hot Cooper Barrett for Maxie. I loved them, that was my favorite relationship of Maxie's.

I'm posting this here, because we don't have a general soap operas forum for Unpopular opinions, and because this actor's name, among another, has been mentioned so many times...

 

Michael Muhney. He doesn't do a damn thing for me. I don't like his acting at all, and this goes back all the way to 2003 when he guest starred on JAG as the Marine officer who was prosecuting Harm for murder. I've seen him on his other soap, and I wasn't and am not impressed. And I'll add that I don't want any of my favorite actors who are no longer on this show, or those who Iliked, to ever come back, while the current regime is in charge. Because no matter how talented they are, under Carlivati and Valentini, they will be shit on, massacred beyond recognition and FUBARED (yes, that is redundant, I know). I don't even have high hopes for what should happen when it is revealed, if it is revealed, that Sonny murdered AJ. In my fantasy world, we would get a new head writer, executive producer, because as I've read here, Frank and Ron are joined at the hip never to be separated. And writers who can actually write, research the show's and characters' histories. And respect them.

 

It's why I'm glad Tristan left as he did, when he did, because I don't, not for one bloody second, believe that that douchetasticfuckwit had any good storyline that would keep Robert in a good light, had he stayed and not gone to a show that gave him a contract. RobertFucking!Scorpio left on his own terms, his relationship with Anna and Robin and Emma intact and loving.

I was JUST coming here to post this! I actually liked Courtney. Wow, it feels good to get that off my chest. This thread is like group therapy!

I, too, affirmatively liked Courtney, especially when she was with Jason. Granted, it was 2003 and Courtney, Jason, Carly, and Sonny were basically the only characters with regular screen time. The pickings were slim!  Also, I was 13 and superficial and she had shiny blond hair. That went a long way with me.

 

Were I to go and dig up those episodes on youtube now I doubt I would like her, but nor do I think I would hate as much as most TWoPers did.  My sense is that she was a bland characters played by a bland actress and given too much screen time, but hardly the worst character in GH history.

When Finola Hughes reprised her role as an Amnesiac Anna, and played her twin sister, Alex, Robin came to Pine Valley, to confirm her mom was actually alive and they had  a wonderful, tearful reunion. Where Robin told Anna that she was HIV+.  There was a lot of...unhappiness that this took place on AMC and not General Hospital. This would have been maybe, two years after Robin left?

This.  I no longer wish for any vets to return to GH, because Ron and Frank would just fuck it all up.  I wish the both of them would be replaced by people who actually love and understand soaps and who wouldn't use the show to settle personal petty scores, to mock soap fans, or to pump up their twitter stats.

Truth, @testardo .  I always tear up and cry, unashamedly, when I watch those scenes. Kimberly and Finola hadn't shared substantive dialogue since Robin was a tween; the one after Stone died, doesn't count.  And they still had IT. They're so believable as mother and daughter.

He's so gonna say that a Cassadine minion was watching when Faison's Duke shot Jason and dumped him in the water...and said minion retrieved him and they immediately put him on ice. so he wasn't dead. Same for Helena.  As for Stavros, well, Laura shoved him in the chamber and hit the button to freeze him again. See? Perfectly logical and believable!

I believe it was explicitly stated on screen by Victor that his people got to Helena & Jason before they died.  And Laura literally froze Stavfroze alive, so I believe all three were technically alive when frozen.  

 

@Tiger , well, that's why I said Ron logic--because Helena was dead and Victor wasn't around, nor were his people when Luke killed her. He checked to make sure and she was dead. And since I stopped watching after AJ was murdered, I don't know what Victor said.

My daughter put them on a dvd for me. This made me remember. I am going to try to watch them now.

That's been a murky area for AMC (and many other soaps too) for a long time. When characters die onscreen and are declared dead, that used to be it. But on AMC (and several other soaps), they began fudging the deaths, saying that they were snatched from the jaws of death or revived offscreen after being officially dead a short time. I don't watch it, but I remember reading that DAYS killed off about half their characters in various grisly ways during a serial killer storyline before revealing that none of them actually died. On AMC, Stuart was shot dead by his twin, and Dixie was pronounced dead after eating poisoned pancakes, only to have both brought back by David. So whether they were ever actually dead is debatable. Either way, that genie apparently isn't going back into the bottle, which is why I can't get worked up over any soap "death" anymore.

I think they were "mostly dead."  There was some explanation, but it's been a while and I don't remember the specifics.  But, I think it boiled down to "mostly dead."
