@Harry24 that's such incredible timing, Disney pulls this every year getting into a dispute with some cable or other service during the US Open and settling just in time for football season.  Last year ESPN was blacked out on Spectrum cable and I took out a Sling subscription to tide me over.  Just so annoying that they pull this all the time!

I can't stand Kyrgios as a player but I begrudgingly do like him as a commentator and wouldn't mind if he stayed doing that and never returned as a player! :-)  I find his commentary insightful and he doesn't just talk to talk.  I've been very surprised by my lack of annoyance with him!

I actually think he's a great commentator, and I have empathy for what seem to be some mental health struggles. But I can't listen to him without thinking that he pled guilty to domestic assault. Why should he get this job over what I'm sure are a slew of other promising tennis alumni who could also do a great job and have never assaulted their partners?

Hi Spunky! Online sportsbooks legally offer live streaming on most all sports. PM me if you want a link to the one I use which is streaming the match. I'm not sure I can post it. You'll want to turn off the chat function, cuz it will drive you nuts!

Thank you! The men’s final is on ABC so I can watch it there. It won’t kill me to miss the ladies final. Hope all is well with you!

Sinner was hitting the ball so hard I could not help but think maybe Taylor should get a referral to Sinner's massage therapist. 😉

I didn't really get into many of the matches this year. The finals were pretty much forgone conclusions. I find putting only the men's final on network TV offensive -to the women but also to tennis in general. Same for the Olympics. I did not see one match, even though I watched a lot of it.

I'm sorry, I don't know how I forgot this.  I agree he should not get any kind of job in the spotlight.  There are plenty of other qualified people that would be just as good.  It's not just ESPN he's done broadcasting for tennis for other networks including for the BBC for Wimbledon.  Unfortunately tennis has not shown to make great choices when it comes to how it treats domestic violence.  Exhibit 1 - Zverev.

Rafa fans, you doing ok?  I know everyone knew it was coming, and yet it still sucks when it does.

Haven't been around these parts in a long time but had to come back to old stomping grounds after the announcement.

I'm okay. As I said once before, I'm a fairly practical person so I look at it as Rafa himself said in the video - everything has a beginning and an end.

And as he also said, he leaves knowing he gave everything. And as fan, there's nothing more I could have asked for. He's earned that retirement.

Congratulations to Monfils, who's been on a roll lately.  First, becoming the oldest player at 38 to win an ATP tournament after winning in Auckland, then taking out 21-year-old fellow Frenchman Mpetshi Perricard in the first round at the Australian Open.   At 6'8" with a helluva serve, I thought for sure he'd beat Monfils, so I was pleasantly surprised.

It was nice to see them relaxing together after the match.

If Medvedev doesn't stop the temper tantrums, he's going to bang his leg and disable himself for good.

His post match interview was FIRE. He was seriously rambling nonsense.

...money, girls, and casinos.... 🤣 I bet he will also get a Go Pro sponsorship after he talked about how indestructible they are i his press conference. I don't have a way to watch the Australian Open, so I appreciate the updates and the antics.

@TVbitch are you checking out Youtube?  There are some extended highlights along with the press conferences.

Just watched the end of Naomi Osaka's win over Muchova.  Naomi has a brutal draw but she looks great.  Hope she can go far this year.  I don't like Patrick M. at all but maybe he is getting her to believe in herself which might be the most important thing for her at this point.

Was anyone else choked that when it rained on the court that was being televised, they switch to Djokovic's game with new commentators ... SO, same game, different commentators on two channels!!! Ridiculous!!!

They do this all the time!!! TSN used to broadcast on five different tennis channels for at least 20 hours a day. Now we get two American men or two American women on their own private tv channels. Such bullshit that we can't get a healthy variety of tennis like we used to. Don't know if its TSN or the feed they're getting fed from ESPN.

I'm annoyed at ESPN plus also.  I subscribed to it just to watch matches during the slams, but they post such a random selection and leave out some of the most interesting. I'm a Musetti fan and wanted to watch him vs Shapo on replay but it was no where to be found.  On my computer they listed the doubles with Hsieh su Wei and Jelena Ostopenko playing together (!!) but it was gone when I logged into my Roku.   How much work would it take to add matches like these especially when they are on the larger courts?
