YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!

I am SO happy and pleased for Alyssa!  Finally, the contestant I wanted to win has done it!  For the first time in ANY race season!  *LOL*

They all performed so well, and really did themselves and their countries proud.

I really enjoyed the way they did the final lip synch, so we could see them all without them fighting for room on the stage.  I thought they'd do 2 face offs, and the winners would do the final song, but I liked this a lot better.  They had all the room they needed for their moves.  And I'm really glad nobody pulled their wig off for a "reveal"!

I'm thrilled and exhausted.  And ready for the next season!!

I am happy for this winner. Thanks for listening, RuPaul. I understand why Nelly didn't win, and this works for me too. Alyssa was already a legend, now she has the crown.

I think this episode showed us persuasive evidence that Nehellenia was the winner of this Drag Race, but that Alyssa is the undisputed champion of RuPaul's Drag Marathon. This season would have been awful without her.

I was mesmerized by Pythia's triple-headed look, a smart choice for Werkroom filler when she was sandwiched between both Kitty and Kween, which allowed her to look like she was simultaneously sneering at Kitty and staring blankly at Kween, while actually closing her eyes for a bit and taking a catnap. I may just have to steal that look for my next boardroom meeting.

It just occurred to me how brilliant these editors have been. They knew we all called a biased win for the American before the season even started, and so they figured out a way to lead us from hating that outcome to clamouring for it. Alyssa for the win! (If it can't be Nelly.)

And at first you might think this emotional maneuvering is all at Nelly's expense. But by emphasizing Kitty and Kween's nastiest behaviour, while simultaneously displaying Nelly's grace under fire (and hiding most if not all of her clapbacks), they expertly steered us away from the frontrunners and towards the old pro who was never quite able to be a front runner herself. All while launching Nelly into the stratosphere.

It almost makes me feel sorry for Kitty and Kween. Almost, but not quite.

Production threw them under the bus, and I'd feel bad for them if they hadn't supplied all the material to build that bus, the fuel to power it, and the driver to steer it right over themselves.

All that said, I'm very happy for Alyssa. And Nelly's career.

ETA: I think there were better candidates for congeniality than Soa.

I'm happy that Alyssa finally got her flowers (and crown!). She is a drag legend and has coined so many expressions that we all love.  Heck, she's just entertaining.  I was worried that Ru may not select the queen representing the US, since it may seem biased.  I think seeing Kween and Kitty tank the popular vote swayed her choice.  I love Nellie, and believe she will make the most of this popularity.

I was rooting for Pythia to win Miss Congeniality.  She seems so kind and sweet.  But, of course, the queens know each other more than I do...

It would ony take three votes for Soa to get the most votes for Miss C. I don't find her a compellingly kind contestant, and wish the money had gone to someone else, but eh...

They really buried Kween Kong with that edit. It must be horrible to watch, especially after the quote being featured twice, in the preview and then in this  episode: "I feel I have this in the bag."

Alyssa was my top pick to win going in, and I still adore her presence on my screen. I just wish she had burnt that George Washington fleecey wig...

Nelly (Miss C of her season) won some new fans, and held her own really well against the bitchery and the odd judging of the challenges.

But best of all, it is over!

Queen. Mother. Icon. And now...All Star winner. So happy Alyssa was crowned winner, she is everything a queen should be & then some. It's about damn time she got her title, flowers, crown, scepter, cash prizes, all of it! We are blessed because she exists.

I was also cheering for Nelly, I'm beyond excited that she will see a well deserved increase in her bookings & fees because of how great she was overall during this season. Can't wait to see her continue to get better and better and wow the world.

So happy Alyssa won! For me, it was between her and Nelly, with Alyssa being my top choice!

I love this take on the editing. I hadn't thought of that.

I think the part of this episode that made me laugh as in "What?" were all the times people kept saying Kween was kind. The editing more often displayed the opposite that.

I must say Kitty's ode to Barbie, while cute, left me cold. It wasn't good enough for the final competition.
