CM-BlueButterfly February 21 Share February 21 Starting today, you may notice red/yellow/green colored messages at the top of certain forums and threads This new initiative is aimed at celebrating inclusivity and diversity through active engagement while addressing areas of the forums that need improvement. This approach aims to transform conflict into an opportunity for growth, connection, and deeper understanding. Here’s what each of the indicators mean: Green Lit Threads Forums are recognized for their inclusivity, diversity, and constructive engagement. These forums will sport a green banner for 1 week, and will be highlighted at a top level in our forums. Yellow Lit Forums signal a need for caution. We encourage members posting in these areas to slow down and invest more deeply in community health. The moderators, adopting roles beyond policing, will help guide the forum towards healthier discussions. Red Lit Forums are under critical review for harmful conduct, facing potential suspension or elimination within 1-4 weeks if improvements aren't made. Growing a Green Lit Forum To help grow a Green Lit Forum, we encourage you to: Engage with empathy, understanding that each post and thread contributes to our community's tone. Embrace diversity, actively seeking out and supporting voices and perspectives different from your own. Use constructive feedback, remembering that behind every post is a person deserving of respect and kindness. Together, we can build a community that not only lights up green but also embodies the spirit of mutual respect that reflects the best of us. If you have any concerns, questions, or feedback, please feel free to reach out.
