Looking at Kaitlyn, it looks like one side of her face is higher up than the other. It looks like her cheekbones were made to look higher and so her face is more stretched out.

I wish one of them had said something.  I think she felt stupid giving her whole speech and then no one said anything.  I think that upset her as much as the men talking behind her back about her.   Some of the men who had no idea what she was talking about should have said that not everyone was talking about it, they didn’t know anything about it.  And the other men could have confirmed that they knew about it but weren’t at all concerned about it.

I don’t get canceling the party when u are upset.  Why not have one on ones to find out who does trust you and who is questions you.  Cancelling the party does nothing.

Jamie pulled a real dick move there, trying to get Michelle to think that the guys were questioning her so much when it seems obvious that no one actually was. I felt bad for her, but I did giggle a bit at the guys baffled expressions while she was talking about the “rumors” going around the house, they clearly had no clue what she was talking about. And then all of the guys trying to figure out who said that to Michelle while Jamie looks insanely suspicious.

Snaps to the dude who wrote “Peter” instead of narcissist. Peter is annoying as hell. Ok, I take it back. They’re both annoying—and arguing while my man Olu is trying to have a moment with Michelle. “No one likes a jerk,” indeed.

Rick, when you play Mad Libs, you’re not supposed to see the story—but I guess he coerced Michelle into kissing him, so I guess his way of playing is better.

Jeez, that’s like a perfectly smooth rockface. How the hell is an amateur supposed to climb up that?! Aw, Jamie’s sob story is particularly tragic. Vulnerability extra credit for making the lead cry; he’ll get the rose for sure!

Coach would want Joe to “get out there and hoop.” “Minnesota Mr Basketball” and “Minnesota Ms Basketball First Runner Up”? Go, sportsball! MVP on the losing team. Hmm. Nayte’s all, I missed all those shots on purpose so the guys wouldn’t be jealous. Sure, Jan.

This apple guy is cracking me up. Can you imagine this is your claim to fame: having no frame of reference for varieties of apples? When he ate that pizza and said “lasagna,” I just lost it. How was this the best part of the whole show?

Did Jamie just say that Michelle is Wrong Reasons because he thinks she knows Joe?! Ooh! Well, he’s not wrong that she does. I like this bleached blonde guy all, “Did you forget about this information until now?” Good call! Why go on this show if you thought she was “booed up”? This is QUITE the change to how he was acting on their date!! Wow. This man is going to go from first date to first guy escorted off the premises real fast! I mean I don’t care—I’m just speaking on behalf of the other guys!  The OTHER guys are questioning your authenticity. … I think she took it well. [Michelle’s in tears.] Michelle is seeking feedback and questions but the poor girl doesn’t realize JAMIE was the only one saying this and made it all up! And then he’s playing dumb to the other guys! Damn! I’ve never seen such a meteoric rise and crash of Right Reasons on the date to Wrong Reasons at the cocktail party! Now she’s canceled the party over this clown’s lie!

Peter?! Bad call, girl. I mean, I don’t recognize any of these guys going home. But surely one of these guys with no personality has to be better than this guy who thinks he’s personality plus.

Hellloooo Romeo. Did not notice him the first night (only half paid attention, to be honest) but I love a smart guy. And he's lovely looking, to boot.

I noticed him last week. He spoke French upon meeting Michelle. Tonight we learn he's a Harvard grad. I like a smart guy, too, and hope he sticks around a while.

Unfortunate name, though.

So. Jamie has a friend of a friend who saw Michelle and knew that she had a relationship with Joe before the show? Bullshit.  He tells the guys, they say, so what, they don't care. And then, he repeats the rumor to Michelle,  says that the other guys are saying it, and he doesn't really care.

Then, while LYING to her, he talks about truth and authenticity.  What a dick.

Peter gives me Proud Boys vibes. There I said it.

Joe getting the call from home? Hmm. I'm so confused as to what the rules are now for calls from home. It used to be just emergencies. Not to say he wasn't close to his coach, but interesting.

I had a cat once, when growing up, a siamese named Romeo. He was the best cat that ever was, in the whole wide world. Still is tho I’ve owned many cats since him. That cat loved every one and every animal he ever met. He was the sweetest in the land.

Jamie told Michelle that "everyone is talking about it" and also that he heard that rumor from a friend of his before he went on the show. How didn't she immediately figure out that he was the one spreading the rumor? I wish someone had spoken up and said they hadn't known about it at all, and that the rest of the men had confirmed it. The ones who did know about it heard it from Jamie, so they should have also figured out quickly that he was the one who told Michelle.

I loved that Romeo, the mathematician, was the only one who didn't say he would tell Michelle an infinite number of times in one day that she is beautiful, but actually tried to estimate how many times it's possible to say "you're beautiful" in a 24-hour period (it takes a certain amount of time to utter the phrase, so, by definition, you can only utter it a finite number of times during a certain time period). Too bad Michelle didn't seem to appreciate it.

There's a guy there who looks like Dax Shepard and sounds like him, too. Maybe it really is Dax, and he's there to punk Michelle.

I JUST said this to a friend tonight, that he looks like a budget Dax. It’s Casey, from Miami. The agency creative director with the bio that has some red flags IMO. He’s also a musician but we’ve been spared that so far. Thankfully.

Joe isn't getting beyond Roundball Buddy Zone, not after Michelle revealed he'd previously ghosted her.

Peter has an unfortunate haircut.

Jamie's duplicitous nature will out.

I must have slept through Romeo and his math. Real romantic there, Pythagoras.

Who are the rest, again?

I tuned in last night and immediately thought, oh here we go again with the cancelled cocktail party.  That shouldn't be an option. Jaime should have been kicked to the curb, and I'm so glad there were others there saying they didn't want to spend time worrying about getting caught up in someone else's rumors/motives.

The fight between Will and Peter seemed so fake to me.  Peter didn’t seem actually mad in the classroom but rather like a bad actor trying to look mad.  (Look at me!  I’m acccttttiiiinnnngg).  Will also kept on looking directly at the camera.  I can’t wait for Peter to leave.

I also think that Jamie wanted to be kicked out and that’s why he started the rumor mill conflict.

It may be just me, but I think Michelle's reaction to Jamie's inflated accusations was shady.  Why not tell him the truth immediately and put the whole thing to rest right there and then?  Why all the drama?  I couldn't help but wonder if she and Joe did in fact meet in person as someone else suggested.  Methinks she may have been feeling a little guilty and protesting too much.

I get that Michelle was upset, but I am always annoyed when they cancel cocktail parties. I understand being worried about not being able to give people your full attention, but its always unfair to the people who haven't had chances to talk to the Bachelor/ette yet. I know the rules are stupid, but they are the rules damn it, it sucks when people just change them out of the blue.

I think I believe that he did just ghost her on social media. HOWEVER, I do think she had a major longterm crush on Joe. It just seemed strange to me how she was rattling off what year he was Mr Minnesota Basketball or whatever it was. It sounds to me that she was aware of this guy since high school or college (whenever they were bestowed with these major awards), and then when she became as-seen-on-TV famous she tried to slip into his DMs (again? Or for the first time?**). Then he used the whole George Floyd excuse for how he was too traumatized to talk to her—except for on television?? I do think there’s much more interest on HER side toward him—and perhaps she’s even building it up in her mind about how she always knew it was meant to be with this guy. She’s like the galaxy brain meme with: Minnesota, Basketball, Minnesota Basketball.

**ETA: What threw me for a loop was Michelle saying their DM’s took place YEARS ago, but the reason he stopped responding was because of George Floyd, which was just last year. So which was it? When did you actually talk? Was it because of basketball or because you were on TV?

Yes, she tried to make it about race -  every time a Black woman is seen in public with a Black man -   NO, if a woman with any degree of celebrity or fame is seen having dinner or drinks with a man, regardless of race, someone seeing them will start a rumor.  Race doesn't even enter into it.

And if she had just spent some time ASKING the guys if it was true that this rumor was circulating,  the handful that heard Jamie say it would say, yeah, Jamie was trying to start that rumor, but we all told him to shut up.  Especially his rather crass "she's already boo'ed up" slang, which, if they repeated to her, she would know exactly where it came from.  JAMIE told her that he heard the rumor from a friend outside the Bachelor show -  then JAMIE told her that the other guys were talking about the rumor.  Get a clue, girl!

The rose ceremony announcement did seem a little dramatic but I also see that it's efficient in that she could relay her thoughts to everyone at once but no one in particular. Also, the structure of the show plays a big role here. One of my least favorite things is repeating myself so I get where she was coming from.

I do think that what was rumored  struck a nerve, specifically the innuendo that she was dating a male she was spotted having dinner with. (I have have been mistakenly partnered by strangers with my brother AND cousin AND DAD because we don't look that much alike in obvious ways. Also, people are just dumb. )

It's certainly an adjustment to become a public person and there's more scrutiny on top of that because she's a person of color. She seems to want this platform in order to do good, rather than just sell more hair gummies, and nothing I've seen so far contradicts her intent. I saw it as her coming to that realization.  Also realizing one of those gossipers was inside the building. That the call was coming from inside the house. That's gotta suck.

I’m still unclear if Michelle was out on a date? Was Jamie inferring it was Joe?

I also don’t understand the race angle. He was saying she was out on a date so the guy being light skinned refutes her argument that people generally assume if a black person is out with a white person, it can’t be a date.

I totally got what she was saying. Spotting a black man with a black woman in Minnesota is like spotting a unicorn. As a black woman, it's hard not to be hyper-aware and self-conscious of it when you're there. I agreed with her that people probably wouldn't have jumped to the same conclusions if she'd been with a white man, because that would just be normal and expected.

I’m confused.  Are there just not a lot of black men in Minnesota?  Or do most black men there date white women?  Do black women not date white men, which is why if she as with a white guy, people would assume it wasn’t a date?

I found the whole thing very confusing and couldn’t figure out what her point was.

I think thats producer driven. but it makes the bachlorette look mean. I agree that because she chose or had to choose to make it dramatic because of production, if one of the guys said "I truly havent heard anything", i think others would have joined in and eventually Jamie would get his due. lol. the silence was uncomfortable, but as much as I respect noone "outing " him , cause who wants to be that guy, I do wish they had defended themselves.I also wonder who she was out with. But honestly, I have been watching this show since its inception, and she is one of the best bachlorettes I have seen, and I also understand why all the guys (mostly) are gaga over her, which I havent always seen. I hope she ends up happy.

I can't say that I understand this, but I'm not a black woman in Minnesota.  However, I am very impressed with Michelle's maturity and disposition thus far and will give her the benefit of the doubt.  I appreciate that she explained the bar situation calmly and without bitterness, especially since she had no idea that the guys were blindsided, too.  It's perfectly understandable that she would be upset after the way Jamie presented the situation to her.  Things were going so well, the only problem is Jamie's, and it's so early in her season for this kind of drama.

I don't think this counts as a spoiler, but please correct me if this is inappropriate to post. Reality Steve posted the photos a fan took of Michelle out with the "light skinned guy" before filming, and posted a bunch more of her with him and various other people on Instagram. He's one of her best friends.

Sounds like Jamie and his friends maybe saw those photos on the internet or Instagram and jumped to a whole lot of conclusions. He doesn't even resemble Joe in the slightest.

I feel like she's almost a little starstruck around him.

I hate when leads do this. Joe has this in the bag, he has the upper hand. He doesn't have to compete.

When Michelle asked him if she knew him and he said "We'll see" or whatever, I was sick.

He's another Peter Kraus or Brenden or Greg, where the lead has no power.

Jamie is quite impressed with himself talking about his travels and needing to live on the edge and wanting to check out Michelle to see if he can hang with HER! Also he has a punchable wrinkly face and I told her to send her home last week.

He also makes weird expressions and moves his face around weirdly when other people are talking, especially Michelle or in those trouble situations.

She handled it great, though, by telling the guys the truth and opening herself up to their questions. I'm really loving her as the Bachelorette so far, and I hope she's able to see Jaime for the snake he is soon.

I'm liking her, too, and it's such a nice contrast to how Katie handled things.  But that can't continue, so now I'm preparing myself for some major disappointment.
