We got a "Ghosts"re-run last night (11/27) after they cut that stupid, idiotic show "The Summit" down from 90 minutes to an hour.

It was the one from last year where Jay's sister's boyfriend pretends he can see "Ghosts" since Sam is away for the weekend.  But then Sam returns early and hilarity ensues.

Also again "Ghosts" actors did a "Survivor" promo.  This time because the challenge champ got eliminated they were commenting on how Thor would be the big challenge threat if he was on the show.  Trevor said he would be too and Hetty made some humorously cutting comment about that laughing at the very idea.

As I remember Pete was there too.  They switch the Ghosts watching Survivor around some each week.  Sas was on last week and I almost want to say this week too.  Hetty was on the arm of couch and Pete was standing to the side so there was maybe three on the couch??  They should put those spots online.  They are pretty clever.

The ratings for a Primary Source were up a bit from last week. I'm surprised because I didn't think this episode was as good as last week.

Ratings have nothing to do with the quality of the show.  It is who tunes in.  Not who "rates" an episode's quality.  And I liked them both equally.

And even if last week's episode was better then this one, that just shows it got more people to tune in this week.

It's even more specific than that. It's the number people in the 18-49 year old demographic of Nielsen box households who are watching the show live or within three days, and who watch the commercials. Absolutely nothing else matters re a show's survival that the C3 ratings. If you don't have a Nielsen box in your house and are between 18 and 49, you don't matter. Nielsen used to release the Live+7 and overnight ratings until about two years ago, now it's just weekly generic numbers, not broken out by demographics.

As of last week, Ghosts was the #19 show for the week. If you take football out of the equation, it would be the 12th highest, and the 7th best scripted series. This is out of 249 measured shows.

Quote

I heard that we’re getting Hetty’s power this season on Ghosts. Is there anything that can be teased about that? –Mary
When asked about Hetty’s special and thus-far-concealed ability, series lead Rose McIver told TVLine, “It is one of the more impressive ghost powers. If there were tiers, it’s top tier.” Added co-star Utkarsh Ambudkar: “You wouldn’t be able to guess what it is. It’s wild, and the reason why it manifests is even wilder. It’s insane what the writers are doing this season. It’s really funny.”

The only "top tier" ghost power I can think of that hasn't been taken would be to be able to appear, whether as apparition or more solid form.  This would fit, because as a woman of her time she was never really "seen".

I'm assuming, of course, that "top tier" means something perceptible to the living.  Alberta can be heard (somewhat), Trevor can touch/move things, you can smell Isaac and Flower can get you high if you walk through them, Sass can appear in your dreams, Patience makes walls bleed and can write in that blood.  OK, maybe a "top tier" ghost power would be the ability to kill the living, but that doesn't seem very "Ghosts" like.  Maybe channel other dead (non-ghosts) without the need for a seance?

So I'd like to guess apparition, but that isn't something I'd consider "wild" or hard to guess.

To be honest, I don't need every ghost to have a power.  I'd actually prefer it if some of the core ghosts didn't have powers.  But I guess we're past that, now.  What's coming next, Nancy and the rest of the basement ghosts?  Maybe their power will end up being that they can fix water heaters!

I don't think all the ghosts have powers just the main cast. Hetty is my favorite character so I can't wait to see what her power is maybe she can levitate?
