I agree with the others who say Carol isn't much better than all the others.
& how could she change everything into her own name without him? That's super shady. If she can do that, what's to stop every jilted or disgruntled spouse from doing that?

My sister-in-law hired a night nurse when she had twins so she could sleep.

Why is Dan so mad at Lucifer? Maybe I was thrown off by the two random episodes at the end of last season but I don't remember them having a falling out in the episode where Chloe sees Lucifer's devil face. (I've been bingeing the whole series).

I haven't read the book but I think I have to now. I'm about halfway through the series & I absolutely LOVE it. Tennant is my fav. Doctor Who so he can do no wrong. The whimsy is fantastic. This is so up my alley. I just love slightly absurd funny stories with mythologies. Hitchhiker at the End of the Universe, for ex.
I've been bingeing Lucifer too & this has a similar vibe with the idea of a reluctant evil/demon who isn't completely bad and an angel that has to report to the heavens. I know that goes against true Christian theology but I take it with a grain of salt & imagine it's just a different universe. It doesn't purport to be "Truth" so as a Christian, I just enjoy it as its own myth & don't take offense.
The relationship of angel & demon is my favorite thing about the series & I want to squeeze Dog so hard - so adorable.

Me too! As soon as it was obvious she was going to launch into a whole bit, I knew it wasn't going to end well. These "real world" spontaneous stand up bits seem so forced to me; they make me feel uncomfortable for that reason alone.

I got a grad cert. in linguistics to work in TESL for awhile & then that helped me get a job in international affairs. I know someone who had a BA in Linguistics who ended up as a Radio DJ, which I thought was super fun. You never know where life will take you.

Seriously. I've gone through both of those things. But I'm not going to give y'all a speech about them.

Didn't even bother to finish this episode. I realized I just didn't care & it was all rather silly. I had all the same questions as above - why are they mixing Arthurian legend, Killer Monks & "Fey" (is that a known fantasy thing?) people in a mystical Avatar-lite setting (which I'm guessing is just that one wood)? It's a hot mess. Honestly, if actual fairies existed & they lived where regular humans could see them for centuries, would the Church act like they are some sudden demonic atrocity that must be destroyed? & this just annoyed me - after that one monk attacks her & is taken away by roots, she looks up & the sight makes her throw up. So I'm expecting this monk to be in gory pieces or something. Come to find out, he's just been wrapped up in roots & is still alive! THAT made her thrown up?
