Yeah, how exactly will they get her out?  Could she even grab a robe or climb a ladder?  It'll be interesting to see what they do with this.

I keep imagining the ghosts forming a chain to pull her out of the well, and it's not like they have to go over the top of the well. Whether or not that would work depends on how deep the well is.

Saw on another board (Reddit) that Hawayek and Baker have withdrawn from Grand Prix France. Obviously health comes first (sounds like she's having long-term concussion issues), but this is also heartbreaking. Nothing yet about their second assignment at NHK.

They've now withdrawn from NHK, too.

Jean-Luc is now recovering from a concussion.

Any word on how Todd Sand is doing? His health will certainly have an impact on USPairs skating.

Todd was able to visit the rink the other day.

I wonder if this is the inspiration for Jay’s restaurant in a barn.  I saw it on a PBS cooking show a few years ago.  Looks swanky and even more rural than the Woodstone.

I was glad to see Mark and Nancy again. Even Stephanie was almost pleasant.  The writers do a really nice job with recurring characters.

As a Mainer, I can definitely say that restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, but there are other places in the state that are even farther afield.  According to the 2020 census, Freedom had a population of 711.

Sass isn't the only ghost without powers, right?  Hetty and Pete don't have any yet as far as we know, so maybe the writers will fill in the gaps for all three eventually.

I thought Pete could look inside objects. Pete was able to see what was in Bela's purse, and that helped Sam convince Bela that Sam could see ghosts.

Except in the original, didn't they refer to Ziggy as "she"? In this episode they just said "it.

My mother often comments about that fact that they switch between 'he' and 'she' in the original depending on how the things Sam has done have impacted the present.

Realistically, Charlotte is 1 of 12 surviving children. 😐

Actually, in Austen's original fragment, Charlotte is somewhere in the middle of 14 children. So, the show even cut out a couple of siblings, lol.

This is a random question, but….what is Vera Wang’s whole deal with figure skaters? I know she used to skate, and designed Michelle’s costumes, but then there was this whole thing with Evan Lysacek, and now she’s kind of glommed on to Nathan Chen. Am I seeing something weird where there’s nothing weird? Or is it weird?

She designed Nancy Kerrigan's dresses, at least for the '94 Olympics, too.

I think it's just the whole she used to skate, and likes designing stuff for people who come to her. I have no idea what sort of financial things are involved.

I will also say that Michelle's Tosca dress was my favorite Vera designed dress.

She was both - at different times, obviously - and Labor position was the only one that fit the clue:  "For 8 years Elaine Chao was secretary of this Cabinet department that oversees issues like workers' health & benefits".

The Transportation gig was more recent, so they may have gotten confused, knowing "oversees issues like workers' health & benefits" = Labor, but only remembering her as Secretary of Transportation.  Then again, with how they played, maybe they didn't.

Yeah, I went back and realized I heard the clue wrong the first time, and that I clearly had forgotten that she had been Secretary of Labor. I was still in high school for part of her time as Secretary of Labor, and I didn't pay as much attention to these things as I do now.

She went because it gives her a bye into Nationals. Better that than need real results in Sectionals in her condition.

I too am baffled that she got 2 spots after a full year off the ice.

Because there are ISU rules in place that allow returning skaters to get GP events. I'd have to look up the specifics with regard to skaters returning from injury, as opposed to returning after taking time off, say like Virtue and Moir did.

Edit: Rika got her GP spots this year because of the rule, too.

But do you know if there will be replays?

Someone screwed up because someone else had gotten an earlier reply saying that there would be, and that Tweet has since been deleted.

I have the theory that one of the reasons this show was un-canceled unexpectedly was when they saw how big a hit Bridgerton became for Netflix.

The show was renewed before Bridgerton was released. They just didn't announce it right away.
