Learning that the Vision in the hex is not the "real" Vision, if you consider the body held by SWORD his body and his "soul" long departed, then it puts Haywards' lack of concern for him in a new light. Who knows what he thinks about hex Vision, much less the kids. He probably considers them all just Wanda's creations with no real feelings or worth.
It is kind of ironic though that hex Vision has more compassion and morality than him. I don't know what their backstory is going to be for Hayward, if any, to justify his attitude. With only one episode left it is sure going to be interesting to see what happens.

Oh man, so many thoughts about this episode....
For one, I always had a feeling that the situation in Westview was one Agatha happened upon or maybe was caught up in. It seemed too obvious that she played some kind of key role of the creation of the hex or something along those lines... Of course, I mostly dismissed my initial theory because of the show's clever misdirection. Sneaky writers 😃 ...
Ugh, I am kicking myself for not even considering that Hayward's "footage" of Wanda's "attack" on SWORD was tampered with. Duh. I mean anyone can edit surveillance if they have the right tech, and he didn't even do that really. He just presented it with fake context and misdirection.
I must admit that the reason Westview is the site of the hex, that Vision and her were going to build their house and life there, was surprising and touching. It seems very plausible and makes the story more poignant.
So many more angles to this story, I definitely need to rewatch this episode.

It has been established that a lot of the major "characters" in Wandavision are actually SWORD agents. Does anyone have any ideas on how they even came to be in Westview in the first place?

Does anyone think that there is any significance to the weird bug on Agatha's curtain? I mean, between the creepy silence and the camera's focus on it I wonder.
Also, I wonder about the timing of the twins' disappearance. Did she take them at that moment, unplanned, just because Monica was there? Or was it because she didn't want it to get out that Billy (I think) said that he couldn't read her? She looked surprised.

The appearance of the basement, dark and filled with ominous black "roots" made me get serious upside-down (from Stranger Things) vibes for a minute there. Creepy.

(Although I can't recall if she ever actually specifically called him her husband, maybe she's just letting everyone assume that's who he is.) Anyway, I know nothing of the comics aside from what people mention on this forum, but there's speculation that Ralph is a specific comics Bad Guy, potentially with control over Wanda, so maybe she's trying to escape from both of them. Or if we assume Agnes and Ralph are just normal people, they might be working under the "One person leaves to go get help to save all of us" premise.
Thanks for clearing up my mistake with the name, whoops. I was just thinking that if she was married she wouldn't leave without her loved ones. So maybe he wasn't real. I personally know nothing of the comics so I have to go by what others say.

I believe that someone in the forum suggested that perhaps Agnes was trying to escape while Wanda was distracted. Sorry, I forgot who. That idea sounded interesting, then I remembered "Fred". There is a lot of speculation about who he really is or if he even exists. If he is real, then why would she ever try to leave without him?

Hey, just a thought. How much of Vision's memory loss is from an outside source? He did die and it looks like part of his head was torn off. Also, if they could have been experimenting with him enough that his brain was damaged further. He could also be suppressing his memories of dying like any person might. He was more than just a walking computer after all.
I was just basically pondering how much of his memory loss may or may not be self-inflicted. I keep flashing back to Hayward being surprised and saying something like "he really does want to get out of there".
Also, maybe other people know better - but CAN Wanda read his mind and make him forget things? I know that she kind of rewound time before, but it doesn't seem to stick. And we still aren't sure how much of what's going on is purely her or someone behind the scenes.

Thanks for the reply, I did see a few mentions. I guess that I am confused as to why the characters on the show aren't reacting so much. They said that Wanda was violating his living will, but what about them?

Hi, I am new to forums so please forgive any mistakes on my part. I read through the whole discussion of episode 5 and learned some interesting new ideas. However, not much was said about Vision's body being at SWORD or the implications of it.
I will admit that I completely overlooked this myself when the video was revealed. I was too annoyed at how Hayward was characterising Wanda's past and her actions, and cheering on Agent Woo for his lack of bias. I also really dislike the Sokovia Accords in general.
Thinking more clearly now, I have some questions. If the video is correct, it did look like Vision was in a lab, probably being examined at the very least. Was he in pieces? If he was then why isn't anyone saying anything? Surely it would raise eyebrows at least. Unless his will said that that was okay, which seems doubtful.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I agree, and I said so in another post. Sorry if I didn't make that clear =). The surprise and tone in his voice seemed genuine. At the time though I thought that it was Vision, as in his body that was stolen and put together by Wanda somehow.
Now though we know Hayward knew that it wasn't, it adds another variable to the question of his thoughts and motivations. If he thinks that hex Vision is just a creation then what does it mean if hex Vision has a mind of his own? How will that change his response to the situation? Or maybe he just doesn't care...
Something tells me that philosophical and moral concerns aren't high on his list of priorities at the moment (hah).
