  1. Wow. That wife in Germany with the fashion blog ... really? Her bragging about needing a room as a huge walk in closet for her dresses was embarrassing. She needs to ditch the booties, the circus tent skirt, and the fashion blog. and grow up. She is delusional. Not sure what the husband sees in her, but the female German relator was priceless. I loved when she asked the blogger wife what took her 45 minutes in the bathroom each day. The blogger wife responded that she did her hair. The relator looked like "Oh, THAT is intentional?"
  2. Sorry to post right after last one but the Mom and son in Italy really irritated me. The son was so indulged and rarely could muster a smile on his face. I just can't imagine allowing a 14 year old to live so far away for 4 years just because he wants to do it. Surely, there are soccer schools, or whatever he was there for, closer to home. Beautiful location but not of fan of the annoying mother and son.
  3. I love the realtor in Amsterdamn and I usually think she is dancing around what should be said straight out but she was a bit harsh in this episode. I would have called her out on making such a nasty comment to me like that. I certainly wouldn't want to give her the commission. The wife had an annoying way of speaking but they weren't nasty to her. Someone needs to write a new script for the house hunters. Not many move to another part of their own city without doing research. Who would move across the world having done little or no research?
  4. The Cabo couple were highly annoying. The husband had this strange fixation on "the Arch." When I saw it, I was like "THAT's it?" However, the big annoyance was the wife. She has definitely messed with her face with something: fillers, botox, or surgery. She talked in an unenthused monotone most of the time. They have only been married for over a year? I say, whoever brought the big bucks to the marriage picks the house. This wife is a downer with her complaining and ridiculous comments. They picked the right place though.
  5. I do not speak FOR the people of West Africa. I spoke TO the people of West, East, and South Africa. I did not share what I was specifically told but I expressed the sentiments as correctly as I could. Of course, there are exceptions to every scenario, but I think my years and several experiences have helped shaped some "general" truths. I've also traveled with people of different races, nationalities, and cultures. These people are still good friends and when we discuss our experiences, there is a general agreement about how certain countries view Americans, African Americans, etc. It is interesting and enlightening. I'm not sure I understand biabiak's comment that her experiences in West Africa were different that mine. I didn't really describe my journeys. I loved the people and have many wonderful memories and made some amazing friends.
  6. I'm with LittleIggy on this. I thought the New Yorker to Ghana female was annoying beyond belief. She spoke beautifully while she was interviewed and resorted to "Girl" and dropping the ending of words when interacting with others. She was full of herself, immature, and her talk of having everyone wanting to be her friend made me cringe. Having traveled to this region several times in groups, I'm always struck how African Americans think they are going "home" and the locals see them as Americans, period. That may be untrue in some parts, but it was true in the regions I traveled.
