  1. I'm assuming it's in reference to their "first kiss". It really wasn't any of Jill's business if it was or wasn't their first kiss. Like Ellen said "It's not a commandment"
  2. I think it was made as a joke. And yes I caught the Debbie does Dallas reference, even though that was before my time.
  3. In her book, Jill said she wanted a lot of kids. I'm sure if it was up to her she would have several children. But I would think Derick might be more realistic about how many they can reasonably afford to take care of.
  4. Maybe the vicious sickness will prevent her from going on her Plexus trip. Just laying the groundwork for an excuse maybe?
  5. If she's British, can we send her back? She probably thinks British spellings look fancier. Or she is so poorly educated that she doesn't realize that's not the traditional American spelling. It could be either of these reasons. It's hard to say with her.
  6. Starting to imply that the Punta Cana trip is too expensive? Time to up the grifting game.
  7. Didn't she also post some story about giving an Amish neighbor a ride to the hospital? It seems like maybe the neighbor was pregnant and miscarried?? Or something like that.
  8. Jill is the "before" picture on What Not to Wear. Who leaves their house thinking this looks ok?
  9. I grew up in Northern Illinois, and we had tater tot casserole. It was even served in school for hot lunch. Ours was more of a mix between the Duggar recipe and green bean casserole though.
  10. I loved The Sound of Music in elementary school. It probably was my first exposure to Nazis. But would Jessa's kids be allowed to watch a movie with so much Catholicism and pre-marital kissing?
  11. Out of all the Duggar grandkids, I feel the sorriest for Jessa's kids. I think they have the saddest, loneliest lives. I guess the only good thing is that they don't fully know what they're missing. Including a loving mother.
  12. They also have a pay-per-ride option. Maybe this ride was the only one they went on. Some rides are as cheap as $2 per person.
  13. If I had to choose between a store bought Swiss cake roll or a birthday cake made by Jill, Little Debbie would easily win. I would want mine still sealed though. Once she's touched it, it's already too questionable for me.
  14. My kids are 23 and 18, and they can both figure out how to read cursive. But they don't know how to write in it except for signatures. I had to force them to learn that much. I'm 45 and never choose to write in cursive except my signature. But I still know how to read and write in cursive. And I'm a nurse at an assisted living and when the doctor or nurse practitioner come in for rounds, they write their orders in cursive still. And then we enter them in the patient's computerized records. I guess the doctor's don't want to take the time to learn each facility's computer program.
  15. My older daughter started wearing a watch when she was about Izzy's age. My younger daughter didn't start until she was around 16. My older daughter just liked knowing what time it was, so it was easier to get her a cheap watch. As they grew up the watches got nicer. I had a watch in elementary school, so it doesn't seem weird to me. It's a good way to give kids some structure to their days. Maybe it's the husbands' subtle way to get their wives off "Duggar Time."
