  1. Some interesting insight from the actor playing Curtis about the conflict he had with Carey this season. It seems their friendship is over. The whole interview is very good https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/the-other-two-brandon-scott-jones-curtis-cary-fight-renfield-ghosts-1235510974/
  2. With just 2 episodes left in the season, I wonder where they are taking these stories. With Pat, she will get back together with Streeter, that much has been obvious since the first second of their break-up. And it seems she will still want to be "normal", because in the S3 trailer there are still scenes that we did not see, it seems that there will be a scene where Cary, Pat and Brooke go back to their Ohio days The logical conclusion for Pat would be to just accept her new normal and make the best of it, but we'll see. With Brooke, once again it has been obvious that she and Lance will get back together, and the scene at 1:38 is their reunion I guess, so Brooke will probably have some big realization about "doing good" and the value of what she does for work and maybe even learns to show up for Lance in the way he asked her to, and then they will be together again. With Carey, we have the least clues. In the latest episode he realized that he can achieve his goals, and still be unhappy, and he is mad about that. The answer would be to find fulfillment through human connection (what the show also tried to imply through showing friendship as an important thing), or to find happiness within with who he is as a person, more self-acceptance, because right now he looks for a lot of external validation and as soon as he doesn't get it he feels bad. A big part of this is also that his relationship with the method acting guy is very one-sided. I've been reading that there is a good chance we are not getting a season 4, so I want them to give satisfying conclusions to these storylines.
  3. Cary's song went on way too long and I don't get why all the successful returnees had to be gay. And then he sang again. Just why?
  4. Hahaha. This is such a slap in the face for all of the fanboys defending the (obviously awful) writing over the past 10 weeks. They kept saying oh just wait for it, be like a goldfish, believe, it will all make sense in the end. Well it doesn't. And I agree with the other poster, it's extremely stupid that a lot of the key events happened off screen. Like Nate quitting. Come on, we should have seen that! And Ruperts reaction to it. Or when he was served the other round of divorce papers.
  5. Glad that have some progress and see Carly has feelings for Freddie. A reverse from the original show. That pearl axe throw! Hopefully we see progress in their relationship by mid season.
  6. S3EP6 The opening scenes with Brooke complaining about Lance to everyone were hilarious 😂. But also kinda weird, like imagine being so in the wrong and trying to frame Lance as the bad guy. I was surprised Cary's boyfriend did not make an appeareance this episode.
  7. Make sure you watch episode one because the scene where Frank goes to see Abby in her office is one of the series' very best. Abby's emotions in that scene are so intense!
  8. Here's some further reading from box-office obsessed people if you don't believe me: https://old.reddit.com/r/boxoffice/comments/13u57i7/the_little_mermaid_reels_in_95_million_3day_box/ https://old.reddit.com/r/boxoffice/comments/13u6ux5/the_little_mermaid_couldnt_even_beat_black_adam/ In conclusion: yes, it is flopping. We will know for sure after next weekend when we see the drop % (how much it did in the second week compared to the first one), which is what box office experts use to make even more accurate predictions.
  9. Emphasis on "at the US". It's doing well in the US and flopping internationally.
  10. It's not cool how they changed the lyrics of Ursula's song and in return gave Scuttle an absolutely awful one. Lin Manuel Miranda has to be stopped! Anyway, the movie is showing early signs of flopping and not breaking even unless something unexpected happens, so I am curious to see where they are taking it from here.
  11. In a previous episode, Beverly showed distaste to the idea of Adam becoming a teacher so I knew it was coming, but it still hurt to see Murray trample all over Meller's feelings.
  12. I always feel so bad when the kids repeatedly use Beverly only to discard her mere moments later.

    Barbie (2023)

So that is the plot they have been hiding all along? A generic chase them down and return them to their world scenario? I was hoping for something more inventive 🤕
  14. Oh wow, episode 5 was intense. First of all, the people sleeping and being on their laptops in the theater was hilarious, and so was the usher who kept gently shaming people into acting tolerant of people with HIV. The conversation between Lance and Brooke was really good, Lance made a lot of points about how he deserves someone who is more interested in him and shows up more for him. And of course I know, Brooke expected him to fight for her when she suggested that they don't stay together but instead he agreed and that just made her more upset, but she really does expect Lance to show up for her in big ways while she doesn't do the same for him. As for Carey...I felt so bad for him in the final scenes when he was begging his boyfriend to please come out of character for just 1 night, and it was ncie to see that for one moment, he succeeded. But he is just trying so hard and putting up with a lot from him. That break-up wouId have been very justified but I guess he will stay with him because of his Tony nomination.
  15. Well I was going to watch this, but disappointed to see it was not a full season drop. What is this, 2009? Maybe later once it's all out.
  16. I am so happy that we had extremely long, boring and detailed scenes of Keeley flailing in her PR venture all season eating up a huge amount of screen time, just so we can have rushed resolutions to all of the show"s major conflicts where we are only shown about half of what we are supposed to see. Horrible planning.
  17. Slightly off-topic but I had the same worries, all shows are coming to an end because summer break and who knows when will we get new stuff. I just did an internet deep-dive to find shows I would probably like watching and found about 10 already completed series from the last 20 years, multiple of them have 100+ episodes so I feel saved. In a time like this the solution is to go back to past series imo. About the move to Baltimore, I am sure it won't happen. You will all see, in the first episode of next season they will come up with a solution / reason why it is better for Bob & Abishola to stay where they are. Or they only go there for 1-2 episodes before returning home, like they did with the episodes when they visited Africa. No sitcom makes such a big change.
  18. Tina's motivational speech to the kids was really funny😂. And I liked that it was in line with Tina's past characterization from previous seasons: her singing group fell apart because she took the performances too seriously and was critical of the others. That was on display here.
  19. The vanity card at the end of this episode was quite ironic. The show creator implies that writing is not real "work" but still wants to get more compensation for it. Did he think this through?
  20. This episode didn't hit the height of the previous 3. It was too repetitive with Brooke's messy friend acting crazy and Cary's Co-workers being so unimaginative. Also, is Brooke really going to be upset because Lance said her job is dumb sometimes? This is just like last week's episode where a character just repeats the self-deprecating statement that another made and then suddenly it becomes something to be offended over. I did like Streeter and Pat's last scene together.
  21. Probably for the best. Season 2 was a big BIG dip in quality. S3 Debut: August 2, and they knew it will be the final season so we will get a proper ending. Thank god. I want lots of self-deprecating monolouges and inner struggles next season, those are the best part. And less Danny is never a bad thing. That sounds really promising.
  22. Just looking at this series, can someone confirm if it's worth watching or not? Is it funny?
