  1. I thought everyone in this episode was horrible except maybe the therapist.  Molly seems to have the same personality as their father.  Every word out of her mouth was nasty and sarcastic.  Erica was trying to say thankyou to Molly and Molly just kept saying "show us, show us that you're grateful."  I think it's impossible for Molly to graciously accept any words of apology from Erica.

  2. Wow, I just watched Ashley's episode.  That mother just doesn't get it.  I too blame my parents.  Maybe for the opposite reason.  They were always dieting and were very restrictive about food.  When I grew up and left home I realized that they weren't there to say no anymore.  I was an adult and could eat anything I wanted.  There are so many ways that parents can mess up their kids' eating habits and they usually never see it.  As parents it's so important to teach our children to have a healthy relationship with food; to treat food as fuel and to teach that our bodies love motion.  I'm really glad that Ashley has gone back to the sport she loves.  She looked happy and confident when she was coaching.

  3. I really wanted to enjoy this series but it was just too dark.  Even during the day shots, I had a hard time seeing anything.  Let the acting (if possible) do the talking about the dark subject matter not the lighting.

There is a route for cars.

Yes, I know but you have to stop and pay and it's closed at night.  Today I don't think her van would even be allowed to go up.  There are a lot of vehicle restrictions.  Also it's a freakin scary drive.  I won't do it.  I take the Cog Railway up.

  5. My husband goes to the VA here in New Hampshire.  They were giving away the vaccines like candy.  I found at after the fact that they were also giving them to spouses.  I had the highest risk factor in my family and ended up being the last one to get the vaccines.  Oh well.

I have a question.  Sally said she was going to drive up Mount Washington to look at the moon.  Is there a Mount Washington in PA?  As far as I'm concerned there's only one Mt. Washington and that's in New Hampshire and you can't just drive up to the top.

How many of you said "hit it" at the appropriate place in the song at the end?

  6. Lord John!!! ❤️

Malva is pure evil.  I guess she inherited it from her mother.

I got a kick out of the MacDonald banter.  I'm a McDonald too!

My mother was a Daughter of the American Revolution so I know who at least one of my Revolutionary War ancestors was.  Watching this season of Outlander has caused me to think about them and how they survived separating from the Crown.  I've gained a whole new respect for them.

  7. I know there's a lot about Paul Hollywood that drives everyone crazy.  Here are my gripes:

    1. Mispronouncing words.  Specifically aerate.  He says aer-ee-ate.  It drives me nuts every single time (which is a lot) I watch the series through.  I feel like when people habitually mispronounce a word, it shows their ignorance.

    2. Using the same word over and over and over and ov. . . . .  like consertinaed.  Merrium Webster does not exactly have a definition to fit his use of the word but I know what he is trying to say.  He needs to think of some other ways to convey the idea.  Like compressed, compacted, close, dense, heavy, thick, and solid.  I know they both use some of these words when they're talking about the texture.

    3. I hate how he seems to exaggerate cutting the bakes.  I realize that sometimes they really can be tough but not as much as he makes it look.

Even though Paul can be really annoying, there are contestants that I find even more annoying.  When I'm going through all the seasons, I will skip a season if there's someone I don't like.

Not happy with the end when we see how Claire is coping with what happened last season.

It sort of shocked me and I thought: Isn't that the way Michael Caine's character dies in "Cider House Rules."?

  9. I know I'm late to the show but I'm watching episode 9, the one with the mile run.  I used to run and I've done several races.  Having those coaches constantly yelling at the contestants during their whole run is driving me crazy.  I remember people cheering and yelling on the sidelines while I was racing and I wanted to stop and throat punch them.  I guess everyone is different.  Some people like it and some don't.

  10. When I watch these kinds of shows, I always have google maps open and locate the places these where these events happen.  I've been trying to figure out the logistics for the Murdough story.  It said they live in Hampton and the kids with the boat went down to Beaufort to a bar there.  That's a heck of a long way to go in a small boat.  It's an hour by car straight down the highway but they would have had to follow a waterway.  I'm just not seeing how they could have travelled that far given the distance and the windiness of the available channels.

  11. I don't play the pipes myself but I have taken chanter lessons.  To everyone who is judging the sound coming out of the racers pipes, they didn't have to maintain a certain note.  They just had to keep the sound coming for the length of Scotland the Brave.  None of them had their fingers on the holes used to make certain notes, they were just blowing air across the reeds.
