I’m tired of this fucking life, he says.

I’m pretty he sure he said “I’m tired of fucking up my life”.  But I think he has truly given up. He’s definitely not motivated but I still feel bad for him. He has NOBODY and because of his moronic mother, she kept him in a childlike mental state. So sad.

    But what kind of issues?

Mostly cardiovascular. Obesity alone puts stress on the heart muscle. When weight goes up and down drastically like Sean, the heart gets confused. This can affect stroke volume, pre-load, afterload, blood pressure, and overall cardiac output. If the cardiac output and perfusion to the kidneys is affected, the renal system can also be damaged and enter compensatory mechanisms like fluid volume retention and electrolyte imbalances. There’s a myriad of other illnesses he is at risk for but those are just some of the things his body is experiencing. Your pathophysiology lesson for today is complete 🙂

He won’t even wear a gown in bed?  Those poor healthcare workers.  😐

I’m a nursing student and former PCT. You have NO idea what we see every day. Nothing shocks me at this point.

$6.75??? My bowl averages 12 bucks! And thats a basic rice, chicken, guac. No extras.

    Im being robbed!

I get the basic chicken bowl no guac. But even with it, it still shouldn’t be $12. You’re getting jipped. My condolences to your wallet.

I can spend $10 at Chipotle and get a burrito bowl (that will feed me for two days). I can take that same $10 at our local farmers market and buy fruits and veggies, a loaf of bread and some cheese (vegetarian here) and have meals for a week.   I always give a major eye roll when I hear the "I can't afford HEALTHY food" (both on the road and out in the real world) BS from the participants....

Holy moly what Chipotle are you going to that charges $10??? My burrito bowl in Chicago is $6.75. But yes I still agree with you - it’s so easy to shop healthy on a budget. Eye rolls are necessary for nonsense 🙂

Has anyone tried peanut butter M&M's? Saw them in the store the other day but bought the peanut ones instead.

YES! They are like Reese’s Pieces. Very addictive. Plus the peanut butter adds protein so they’re, you know, healthy. Lol.

  7. I’ll never understand why people use the “I can’t afford healthy food” bull crap excuse - especially when they’re only supposed to be eating 1200 calories a day. Eggs ($2), lettuce ($2 bag) frozen vegetables ($1 bag) and protein/meat. A mega-size fast food meal the poundticipants eat in one sitting would cover a few days worth of groceries. So annoying! I wish I could drag these folks to the grocery store and give them a shopping lesson.

My eating habit tonight is a spinach salad with salmon and hard boiled eggs. (Sorry...no golden grahams.)

I missed the start...but geez is this depressing. I agree, I don't think Sean is intellectually unable to take care of himself. It seems like it's metal health issues that he's not really dealing with.

    You don’t know what you’re missing 🙂

God, I've often wondered what kind of crazy stuff food delivery people see.  They're the real MVPs.

I drive for Uber Eats and haven’t witnessed a single weird thing yet. Kind of disappointing 🙂

  10. I am curious as to why TLC is even airing this. We’ve known for a long time that he passed away. I almost want to change the channel. Anybody else feel this is unnecessary to watch? RIP Sean.

Gasoline soaked drawers for the bus ride to hell are what you are awarded by fellow pounders when you make a particularly snarky remark.

One of this season's poundicipants explained that she mainly ate grapes, crackers and yoghurt which led to the idea of grapes as a gateway fruit, the devil's own fruit, a downward slide to sugar-free jam!

    Welcome to the forum.

Does anybody remember the episode from this season where the grapes ridiculousness began? I need to go back and watch!!!

  12. Hello Pounders! I’ve been a fan of this show for years and just recently found this forum. I’ve been reading all the snark for weeks and finally decided to join in!

Can someone please tell me what the deal is with the gasoline soaked underwear and the grapes? I’m guessing it’s an inside joke with this group 🙂
