My favorite line was Kevin and Randall saying that Jack was oddly jacked for a dad in the 90s 😀

I just happened to be listening to the latest episode of "Ty and that Guy" which is a podcast with Wes Chatham from The Expanse. Wes discussed how, while filming the first season of The Expanse in Canada, his wife went into labor in LA. Shockingly, Wes didn't have to QUIT HIS JOB. The director and producers were all very supportive. They allowed him to finish shooting his scene quickly, and then helped him get a flight home. He was there for the delivery. I know this show is all about the drama, but given that there are directors and actors and producers and agents and casting agents all associated with this show, you'd think they'd have a better sense of how being an actor actually works.

I just binged both seasons of this show and LOVED it! I'm sad I have to wait for season 3. I kept getting serious Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes from this show. Season 1 was very "Willow almost ends the world because of her grief," and now I think we're seeing all the "potentials" enter the fight. I hope UA handles it better than the last season of Buffy.

I'm a relatively new Bachelorette viewer, and I know we don't see all of the conversations, but why are the men supposed to bare their souls and share their secrets, while Tayshia never shares anything about herself? Assuming they're telling the truth, these men aren't just sharing their darkest secrets with her, they're sharing with the whole world, on camera. And she doesn't reveal anything. I hope that at some point, before sharing their trauma, they have conversations about where they grew up, where they went to school, their favorite color, if they have a pet... normal conversations.

Refugees are lawfully admitted to the US and get green cards and work authorization. I'm so sick of tv shows getting these basic things wrong.

That's not how expedited removal works.

I thought the whole show had a definite Scooby Doo vibe and was just waiting for Ward's "And I would have gotten away with it if not for those darned kids."

As Peter and Madi were talking about Uluru and how it was formed around 550 million years ago, I couldn't help but wonder if Madison was thinking, that's not possible, the Earth was created 6,000 years ago.

I remember having read that the human mind can't really grasp the concept of eternity. In any case, I simply think that humans aren't made for eternity. Unless there's some spiritual evolution and we become something else, something inhuman, eternity is bound to become torture. So the twist about Patty and the others sounds very logical to me.
Otoh, who knows what's really on the other side of the door? I mean, if there's something like a God in the show's universe, crossing that door could actually lead to another level of existence that goes beyond humanity. However, I don't think the characters have ever mentioned the existence of a God.
I loved the episode and it was a joy to see Lisa Kudrow as Patty. Chidi's reaction to her was one of the best things in the world. And ffs, one of Tahani's godparents is the Big Ben!!!!
I agree with this. I was raised strict Catholic and remember even as a little girl, the idea of going to heaven FOREVER was really disturbing. I couldn't imagine doing anything (Mom said we'd be worshiping God) for eternity. I'm not a patient person and I always want to know what comes next. My mother explained that in heaven there is no concept of time, so it doesn't feel like eternity.
However, my idea of heaven was that I'd get to talk to all the people I've ever wanted to and learn all the answers to all of the questions I've ever had. So Chidi meeting Patty was perfect.

Are you even allowed to pay by check at a restaurant? And how is writing a check going to prove he has the funds to cover dinner? I can write a check for a million dollars but it doesn't mean I have that money in my account. It made no sense.

What surprised me about the convenience store scene was that no one recognized Kevin. He was the Manny. Now he's starring in a big movie. But no one in the store noticed that. Same thing with the conversation with the soldier's wife. Yes Zoe is dating a white man, but she's also dating a celebrity. How was that not part of the conversation?

Maybe they’ll have Allison call ICE on her because she decides she wants Cole back.
Actually Cole is also breaking the law for hiring her. I agree, this show is not doing as badly as other shows.

As an immigration expert, I just have to jump in and say That's Not How Any Of This Works! And I hate it when tv shows have an opportunity to educate the audience and instead just put out more misinformation. In today's environment, some facts would be useful. Luisa cannot apply for her citizenship. As her husband, Cole can petition for her to receive a green card. If she is eligible (doesn't have felony convictions and meets other requirements), she has to then either a) adjust her status in the US, or she may have to b) leave the country to get her green card. Usually spouses can do option a, but not always. If she has to leave the US, she would be subject to a 10 year bar from reentering. This catch 22 is why many people who are eligible to get a green card and legalize their status may, in fact, choose to remain undocumented in the US. There is a hardship waiver to the 10 year bar available, but it's hard to prove eligibility. But Luisa isn't there yet. Cole has to petition for her first! Also, you have to have your green card for at least 3 years (if you get it through marriage) before you can apply for citizenship. To naturalize, you have to pass English and civics test, and pass background checks. In any case, Luisa and Cole need to hire an immigration lawyer who would take care of all of this for them. They can afford it. It would have been interesting to include the facts in this storyline, and some people may have learned something. Instead, we get The Affair.

S03.E04: Meet Your Exes
in Love Is Blind
These women are all so much prettier without all that makeup. I was really struck when Zaynab was putting on her makeup and there was SO MUCH contour and SO MUCH makeup. They're at a resort, outside, in the water. Why do they need all of that?
